I can't praise this book enough, so where to start? Maybe just with this - trust me, if you enjoy horror, you need this in your book collection!

This is a collection of 4 short stories, all written in the first person. I typically don't actually like this POV when I'm reading but this collection blew me away with how good the writing is. I honestly don't think there's anyone better at writing in the first person than Kit. Each story was full of its protagonists own, unique personality, as well as realistic characters, great prose, and the stories were each truly horrifying in different ways.

I think the first story in the collection might have the most chilling premise I've ever read.

Not for the faint of heart. I don't know if it falls into the extreme horror category but it is quite grisly in places (though it's so enjoyable to read despite how savage it gets!)

This collection of 4 stories were pretty good all around they were all in the first person and all about reaching a breaking point in one way or another.... I wouldn't say this is "extreme" horror although it does have some grisly scenes I would put it in the psychological horror \thriller category. Good writing and character development solid 4 stars

Kit turns in three thematically linked shorts in the lifeline trilogy. They're all absolute page turners. Lifeline is deeply uncomfortable, The Loving Husband and the Faithful wife is charming and dark, somewhat peculiar and The Debt is a more straightforward but wonderfully voiced tale with a twist. I won't say any more about the stories because I don't want to ruin them for the reader.
You also get Genesis, a sort of prequel to Kit's fantastic and tight debut novel. I must admit I left that alone, feeling that I wanted to leave my GodBomb experience as is.
Good stuff!

Started this Sunday, finished it Wednesday morning. High octane writing with a powerful voice. Not for the squeamish but highly recommended. Hats off to Kit Power.

WOW! This book of short tales by the talented Kit Power is a stunning read. Like the famous book on anti-gravity, i couldn't put it down.
Genesis, the prequel to his superb novel GodBomb, blew me away with its emotional power and brutality.
The Lifeline Trilogy consisting of ‘The Loving Husband and the Faithful Wife’, ‘The Debt’ and ‘Lifeline’ are extremely dark, and made even more terrifying due to the fact that Kit Power has steered away from the realms of fantasy, and lingered uncomfortably within the domain of the feasible.
Intense, and sinister is a great combination and Kit Power nails it yet again.

4 great reads!

This is my second book by Kit Power. I loved it as much as I loved GODBOMB.
This collection of 4 short stories are well written, and full of suspense. Each one will keep you on the edge of your seat and just about leave you breathless by the last page.

Move this to the top of your to be read pile!! You won't be sorry.

Keep writing Kit, I will keep reading.

Genesis - very exciting prequel, in less than 10 (or so) pages the author successfully gets the reader wanting more.

The debt - my favorite by this author so far. I loved the main character and the delimnas he faces. Again the ending is left to interpretation, however we have a goid sense that he will do the "right" thing.

Raw, brutal, and powerful storytelling. This is a collection of four urban thrillers, thematically linked by desperation and the pivotal moments that lead ordinary people to take desperate measures. These are not pleasant people necessarily, but the strength of Kit's writing is in his ability to make you care; to drag you into their sprained psyches and feel every painful jolt of their hearts.
These stories are incandescent. They are horrifying. They will haunt you.
Highly recommended.
