This book was recommended to me around 2015 by a content creator that I respect, Dara. I loved everything about it and applied many of the principals to my life and space using the map in the book and I’ve seen resound changes in my life ever since.
According to this book, all I have to do is enhance the wealth area of my home and people will start randomly sending me money.... Let me know if you need my address 😊
Seriously, I don't believe there is anything magical in the these ancient Chinese secrets, but they are all practical. Feng shui, for instance, is simply a way of defining your goals and placing physical reminders in your environment. Doing this helps you concentrate on fulfilling them and helps create a can-do attitude. I'm very interested in the wisdom of many of these ancient Chinese practices and will continue to learn and incorporate them into my life.
This book is about 60% easy to read mini stories and 40% light instruction. It's more like a primer toward learning more about the subject as a whole than comprehensive study on feng shui. Which is fine, as it's tittle alludes to the directed subject matter. This book is easy to read and offers basic advice. I was able to diagram my structure and figure out where each section fell in each quadrant. But really not much else in defined ways to fix problem areas. I would suggest getting it from your local library and reading it rather than buying it straight out.
This is my favorite book on Feng Shui book: easy to read, lots of handy diagrams. I've already referred back to this one several times. I actually borrowed it from Gretchen and liked it well enough that I wanted my own copy.
Okay - so technically I'm not going to be done with this book for awhile as I plan to apply feng shui principles to my house in the next year, but this was an easy, entertaining read with good concrete examples. A nice Intro to this ancient approach
