The Red Series #3

To Catch a Flame

Rate this book
After PJ and Luke’s final volatile encounter, she struggles to cope, but she’s not alone.
Mika and Elliot have moved into her home, her bed—stripping her bare and stealing her heart.
PJ’s no longer terrified of the man who tried to break her, just terrified of falling in love with the two men she knows she can never have.

Or can she?

All it takes is a confession, one little word, and her entire world tilts abruptly. What they’ve hidden from her is the sweetest of betrayals, and PJ’s devastated by it, yet she just can’t fight the pull towards them any longer.
The love they have for her, and each other is intense and all consuming, but something’s not right. It’s subtle at first, a word, a gesture, a pair of handcuffs—an exchange of power. Despite her trepidation, her trust in them allows PJ to explore the things about herself that Luke tried to destroy, and she does until she’s faced with a soul-breaking ultimatum.

Secrets and lies, wants and needs. Once again, PJ finds herself completely bound by someone else's desires, only this time, there’s nowhere to run, nowhere to hide. This time, she’s forced to face her fears so that she can claim the hearts of the two men who were always meant to be hers.

I didn't discover writing like most authors do. There was no childhood dream, no undeniable urge to put pen to paper. My story started off with an unexpected life changing event : a sizeable tax refund and a water-taxi ride caught from the wrong side of the Thames. I've always been an avid reader and a daydreamer, so when an idea for a novel was born from those three seemingly unrelated events, I ran with it.
That idea became an obsession and also a passion. My characters are big and bold, the men are dominant to a fault and the women are strong and sassy. I'm fascinated by the concept of fate. One decision causing another and another, all of them having consequences which ultimately draw my characters together only to tear them apart. There will always be a happy ending, because there's no denying, I'm a romantic at heart - but a little pain woven amongst all that pleasure makes for a very explosive plot.

When I'm not writing or meticulously plotting my next novel, I am a wife and a mother. I have a healthy appetite for physically challenging sports and I love coffee. If all else fails you'll find me reading a book which was how my journey began and will no doubt be how it will end.

If you're curious about the last steps in my journey to publish my first novel, 'A Little Band of Red' then follow me here on Goodreads or on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/lilyfreemana...

Again we pick up where the last one finished (I like that). Unfortunately that means PJ is not in a good place. As Mika and Elliott tend to her wounds physically and emotionally there was no way PJ could stop the feelings she was having for these boys. Here lies the problem you should not fall in love with your gay neighbours, but if they are gay why are they sending her all these mixed signals?? Poor PJ is very confused.

We get some lovely Mika and Elliott action.

Chains rattled, wood torqued, the bed hit the wall. None of it compared to the guttural moans echoing around them.

 photo bangingbed_zpszrga9ldf.gif

Those boys are stunning, Mika being the charming Italian always able to say the right thing at the right time. Then there is Elliott who I adored, he is HUGE in every way but his heart is the most fragile and he guards it fiercely and often comes across cocky while he does it. He had a very sad and unhappy upbringing in the Ukraine, which has led to him needing special things from his lovers.

 photo Elliott_zpspax8sk11.jpg

I loved when the boys used their native languages to express their love and to say endearments to each other and PJ. I was introduced to some new BDSM *toys* in this series which I enjoyed, its always nice to learn new things ;).

In this book we PJ was trying to find her place in life. Where did she fit?? Did she belong there?? As PJ struggles with the idea of who her new lovers are and what they want from her, she goes on a bit of an emotional roller coaster struggling with the thought she may not be what they need or want. This 3rd book was definitely more of an emotional read for me, it was all about the feels. Do not be fooled though there is some wickedly HOT scenes.

I Highly recommend this series to anyone who likes BDSM or simply just likes a good love story between three awesome people.

In the aftermath of Luke's treachery PJ is left to pick up the pieces with the help of Mika and Elliot. Battered and bruised and having feelings for her gay neighbors PJ is left confused. When Mika and Elliot finally tell PJ their feelings for her life seems to be headed in the right direction. But with Mika and Elliot holding back a HUGE secret things might not be as smooth sailing as she thought. When the truth comes out it sends PJ running again. Will these three be able to overcome their fears to get the HEA they so richly deserve?

Onto the third and final book for this couple. I enjoyed this one only slightly less than I did book one and two. PJ got on my nerves a bit. I felt she overreacted to every little thing and that frustrated me. Her reaction to Mika and Elliot's secret seemed OTT. I also felt it dragged in the last 25% or so of the book.

That said, I ADORED every minute of this series. It is amazingly well written. The sex scenes were HOT. It had a great cast of characters (both main and secondary) with TONS of potential for additional books (which a little birdie told me are in the works) Just overall a fantastic series. Two huge thumbs up from yours truly.

I think that I am just not cut out for BDSM. There are soooo many things I hate about the genre because I am too much an alpha-feminist-girl. And yet, I did think that the book was well-written and had great characters.

The heroine is PJ. She moved to England from New Zealand in the first book after winning huge in the lottery. She ran away from her problems and from everyone she knew to start a new life. She ends up living next door to a sexy gay couple and getting involved with the BDSM lifestyle at the urging of her new bestie.

This gets her involved with Luke. He's a cruel sadist and wants to completely own PJ. She says she doesn't like pain, but allows herself to be convinced that she DOES like it by this man who gets off on hurting her. She doesn't actually break things off with him until he hurts her so badly that she needs a doctor. But, Luke is obsessed and continues to stalk her throughout the series.

In comes the neighbors. Turns out that they are bisexual and they want PJ to be their girl-toy. She adores them but thinks they are gay, so it's hopeless.

In this book, we have the developing relationship between her and the gay couple. They decide to let her know that they want her as their girlfriend, and I'm all for it. At first. But, as the story goes on, I like them less and less. It becomes obvious that they intend to treat her much the same as how Luke did. They have a big secret - and when it is revealed I am pissed off. At one point, she tells them to leave, and not only do they refuse to go, they physically restrain her and refuse to leave. I just wanted to punch them in the goodie-sacks.

But, that's the thing. PJ is not me - she is a submissive girl who allows other people to lead her life. Also, this is a BDSM series. I can't expect PJ to do what I wished she would do - be strong, move on, and find a man with whom she can have a healthy relationship. This is where the problem of a non-BDSM reader comes in. I can't see a relationship being healthy when one person holds all the power, literally. It just doesn't work for me. So, for BDSM lovers, I think this would be a great series. For me, it was a frustrating ending to a good series.

ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.

To Catch a Flame is the long awaited conclusion to PJ's story that started in A Little Band of Red. The trilogy, now expanded to include a forthcoming fourth novel, should be read in order and not as standalones. PJ's life had been torn to pieces at the end of Fire in the Blood, her neighbors and favorite midnight fantasy couple, Mika and Elliot, hold themselves responsible for her healing. PJ is confused, struggling to find her way again and understanding her feelings towards the couple. When they admit to her they share feelings too things seem better, but PJ can tell they are holding something back and that something may just end the relationship the three share before it can even truly begin.

She'd never known anything like it, never imagined it was possible to be so completely taken over by another, by two.

I have loved this series from the very beginning, it has an intoxicating mixture of romance, suspense, and BDSM. To Catch a Flame was my favorite though, I could not put this book down. I went into To Catch a Flame with some expectations, but Lily Freeman gave yet another original plot to complete their story line. In three hours I had cried, I had laughed, I had lusted (because Mika and Elliot are swoon worthy men), and I had fallen in love with the couple that is Elliot, Mika, and PJ.

She was a wildcard in their very stable life, capable of winning the game or losing it all for them.

PJ's character is so much more complex than when first introduced, and along with her life's complications come the secrets that Mika and Elliot bring with them. While overcoming the grief she experienced from the previous novel PJ is upset, broken, but still so strong. What they share is something PJ fears in the aftermath of Luke's betrayal, but it is her strength that allows her to see not all men are the same. However, To Catch a Flame is more Mika and Elliot's story than anything, because their history as a couple and their past as individuals is finally revealed. I always found Elliot as an attractive, brooding character, but getting to know him on a personal level makes the book that much better. Seeing the bond that Mika and Elliot share and the passion they offer to PJ made this novel every bit of the 5 star novel that it is.

He wanted to catch a flame, her flame, and he wanted to watch it burn, knowing it was leaving scares all over him.

One of my biggest complaints with erotic novels is the believability and Lily Freeman does more than make you believe it, she makes the love affairs and the characters so realistic. I could see the entire novel playing out before my eyes, from the BDSM scenes and the arguments to the quiet moments shared between the three. The characters are complex, even Luke has grown to have a soft spot with me. It's a complete story, from the beginning of the series to the end of this novel, that develops over time and not just in romance, but in forcing the characters to face the hard stuff too. If you are a fan of beautiful writing and suspenseful romance with a side of really hot kink, The Red Series is for you. Lily Freeman has set the bar high and I look forward to her next release, Cross My Heart.

Alright. I've had almost 48 hours to process my emotions and come up with the words I need to write this review and tell the world what I think of Lily Freeman! This isn't going to be short. Grab some popcorn and let's chat.....

*Waits for you to grab popcorn.....extra butter please*

**Ten Stars---No really... Ten Stars....Maybe Eleven**

Where do I start. Ok, here we go. I read "Little Band of Red" a few months ago, and was FLOORED that this was the debut novel for Lily Freeman. The Chemistry, the passion, the WRITING, was awe-inspiring. It sucked me in, and I finished it in about three and a half hours flat, without putting it down. Every character held something for me. Loving them or hating them, I felt a connection to every single one. I knew what they looked like, how they acted, who they were as a person. I thought I knew what to expect in the following books, but I was dead wrong. The twists in this series, about knocked me off my feet.

 photo Trippin photo_zps1bjut47q.jpg

I was so entranced with the first book, I *IMMEDIATELY looked up the release for book 2, "Fire in the Blood" A month? Hellz no, I couldn't wait that long.... I would have literally DIED!

 photo Dying_zpsbmbddvtf.jpg

So, as usual, I looked for my ARC signup... FOUND IT!!! I got it, I think a week and a half later or something like that.... Too bad life isn't always set to your schedule and I had to wait to read it.... Needless to say by the time I got to it I was shaking like a crack addict waiting for a fix. Anywho. I started and finished "Fire in the Blood" in a few short hours (Two hours of sleep is NOT recommended). I couldn't pick my jaw up off the ground.

 photo Squidward_zpsveul0gao.jpg

Book 2 took such a sharp turn in a direction I hadn't been anticipating. My thoughts were scrambled, my brain was fried, and my heart was-----over-easy!

 photo Egg_zpsomrsbjdd.jpg

Again, I rushed to find out the release for book 3..... December? No.... not gonna happen.... there was no way on God's green Earth I was going to be able to wait until December for the wrap up of PJ's storyline. The cliffhangar left me feeling like I was lost, and sad, and happy, and just overall in turmoil beyond compare. How do I wait for something that feels like it owns my soul?
 photo soul_zps0j2fh7pa.png

So, as usual, I reached out to Lily.... I needed this book and the both of us had already become friends.... "Hey Shannon, wanna read Book 3?"
Does the pope wear a funny hat?

 photo pope_zpskmbhffgc.jpg

Ten seconds later, I was IMMERSED in "To Catch a Flame"

PJ.... oh my PJ, is the best heroine any reader could ask for. She's strong, sassy, submissive, and a bad ass bitch. She loves with EVERYTHING she is. She wears her heart on her sleeve, and gives everything she has to give with everything she is. You couldn't ask for a better girlfriend, lover, or best friend. She's just incredibly perfect in every way. I've considered going full lesbian with my fictional PJ....

 photo Lesbian_zps0i74fjqj.jpg

Mika and Elliot...... Can I haz a pair? Please. I want them....both of them.... right now.
*Closes eyes*
*Opens eyes*
*Looks Around*
*Closes eyes tighter*

Someone fetch me a genie lamp please.

Elliot is rough, manly, sexy, but inside he's a little broken, and a little teddy bear. You feel for him. You want to console him, you want to slap him, and then you want to straddle him. The nicknames make me swoon, the love makes me die a little inside. If every man were like him, the world would be better for it. Elliot, is My Favorite Character

Mika, is the epitome of a romantic, love infested, accent wielding, sexy ass bi man, that I literally want to take me shopping and then take me to his bed. The way Mika and Elliot balance each other is extraordinary. Mika is a fierce lover both in and out of the bedroom. I love him to death. Please... call me Teserino.... I'm totally ok with that!

 photo Mika and Elliott_zpsyupdt3jo.jpg

And Luke.... well.... I will be the unpopular opinion here, but I want to see his Happily Ever After. He might be crazy for cocopuffs, and he may be the epitome and definition of a sadist, but I still kinda want him, and I want to see him with someone who can handle him. I'm not gonna say anymore because I don't want to give anything away, but Luke.... Luke is like my broken project. I wanna glue him together and then let him tear me apart.....

 photo masochist_zpsi78obqmz.jpg

This series, tore me up, and healed me at the same time. It showed me what true love really is, what heartbreak really can do to a person, and how through the midst of the worst struggle someone can imagine, there is still light at the end of it, if you just hold on. Lily Freeman has just claimed her spot in my top three authors, and the Red Series is in my top 3 series with Pepper Winters-Indebted and JKRowling- HP.

I never in my wildest dreams believed I could enjoy another series like I did with these other two, but I have been proven wrong. This book is everything you could ever want or need from a romantic, suspense, erotic, bdsm, menage book..... Oh, I almost forgot the sex..... Well, let's just say, I might have had to change my "knickers" several times, if you catch my drift.

 photo 5 Orgasm Button_zpsm0jqyhvr.jpg

I wish I could stress to you the amount in which I loved this book, along with the first two, and I wish I could buy it for every single person, but I can't, so you must do it. Let's get Lily Freeman to the top of the Best Sellers List. I've never met anyone so deserving. This book speaks for itself, so I don't have to continue, but please, do yourself a favor and pick up a copy. You won't regret it. It's amazing..... perfection.....brilliant....superb.....astounding......mouth watering..... etc......

To Catch a Flame is the third and final book in the Red trilogy (though I am hoping we get Luke's story down the road, because even moderately unstable uber-sadists should get their happy endings) and should not be read as a stand alone (also note this review may contain spoilers for the previous two books).
This was my favorite book in this trilogy and that is in large part due to the fact it was pretty much all about Mika and Elliot. You may recall in my two previous reviews I gushed over my love for these two characters. That has not changed and I want a pair like them for myself. As this story begins after the cliff-hanger in book two Mika and Elliot are determined to piece together a shattered and damaged PJ. They go out of their way to show her how much they love, adore and treasure her. Sadly, they have two major obstacles to this goal.
Obstacle 1: PJ is convinced Mika and Elliot are gay. While she is thrilled they're still allowing her to warm their beds and she has fallen head over heels in love with both men, she fears their time is limited. After all, what does an attached and seemingly perfect gay couple need with a damaged woman? Once the passing amusement wears off, they'll surely be ready to leave her to her own devices. Which leads us right into Obstacle 2.
Obstacle 2: Mika and Elliot have not been entirely forthcoming with PJ. In their efforts to protect her and keep her safe, they have been keeping some pretty important information from her. Sure, their lies of omission, come from the best of places, but she already has dealt with male betrayal, she doesn't want to feel it again from two men she loves. As if that isn't enough of a complication, once she finds out the full extent of their secret, her confidence and trust is shattered. It may too much for her to deal with or forgive.
This series had a good bit of angst, but it was done so well, I didn't mind it for a second. I ate up each book and found the characters completely fascinating. I'm a complete softy for menage relationships so this book made me all kinds of happy. I'm hoping we see more of Luke in future books because I am dying to see how the right woman can fix the broken and oh so intense sadist. I highly recommend this series to lovers of BDSM who have open minds, enjoy a well written and emotionally complex story and who don't mind some fluidity in their expected final pairings.

Can I give it 10 stars!!!!! this is what it deserves?

This series has topped my all-time Favourite series of 2016!!!

Each book just gets better and better in this series, Lily knows how to draw you into the book from the first page and not let you go, I was up till 4 am this morning reading this book, I couldn’t put it down.

After what happens at the end of book 2, I been dying for the book and I wasn’t disappointed.
I wasn’t keen on Elliot in the first 2 books I just didn’t like that he kept trying to get between her and Luke but after this book I might have fallen for him seeing that he did just have the best intentions with PJ and just wanted her to be happy with him and Mika.

Mika and Elliot are picking up the pieces of what happened at the end of book 2 and are helping PJ deal with it all.

In this book PJ is forced to face her fears head on and no running. I really liked her in this one she really stood up for herself in this one unlike the books before she was listening to what everyone else was telling her. and I have to say I was proud of her. secrets are revealed but will it tear them apart or bring them together. you will have to read to find out.

The scenes with Mika and Elliot. Bloody hell hot change panties time. The Chemistry, the passion, they have been just HOT. The love these guys have for PJ is what every girl could only wish for from one person, but PJ has 2 guys that love her and will do anything for her…Swoon

But saying all of that my emotions are still all over the place. Luke has his faults and I know what he did was wrong but Love makes us do some stupid things and I think Luke realised he had gone too far and that he has lost PJ for good. But because of this I am still torn. Your fault Lily you made me love a sadist!!!!! I just think I would love to see him get his HEA (Maybe another book on Luke) one day please. Don’t get me wrong I am glad PJ is happy, but I am still not over Luke, ha ha and my heart hurts for him, I don’t agree with what he did it was wrong, evil, we can’t help who we fall in love with, even if the characters have flaws and all, in life people are not perfect so in books I love to see this too makes it more real to me.

I love all these characters you feel connected to each and every one of them in some small way they are just likeable you can’t fault them.

Lily is fast becoming a Favourite Author of mine.

I will recommend this book to everyone I know, trust me take a chance on this Author you will not be disappointed. amazing series.

Can’t wait for India and Trey’s book Bring it on.

An ARC was received in return for an honest review.

Once again, please note that ‘To Catch a Flame’ is the third and final book in the trilogy series RED. It is not a standalone novel and should not be read by itself. You will thank me for telling you to go back and start with ‘A Little Band of Red’, to be closely followed by ‘Fire in the Blood’ before you get yourself totally immersed here. The character growth and storyline unfolding in these two previous books are imperative reads prior to this one.
Those of you who have done the right thing and already read the first two books will know and understand my excitement when I say Thank Freaking God it’s finally here, because this one, people, this one, is Mika and Elliot’s book. Not much else needs to be said, but since I agreed to write a review, I won’t ask the Lily Freeman Roller Coaster Ride to stop and let me off just yet – in fact, I think I might just hang around and see how many more times this author is going to take me through the loop de loop with her future books, because she is well and truly on my New Books From an Author Not to be Missed list. So, with that said, here’s my review:

Reeling from shock, devastation and guilt, Mika and Elliot set out once again to show PJ that she’s not alone. Destroyed by the consequences of Luke’s actions, they surround her with all the love they know she will need if she is to have any chance of recovering, not only physically, but emotionally from her ordeal.

‘Whatever it took, however long, she was theirs and together they’d get through this.’

The problem is, PJ still thinks her love for them isn’t returned (at least not the same way), and never will be. The more they tempt her with every touch, the more conflicted PJ becomes. Mika in particular feels cut up about it inside, knowing that they’re deceiving her, even if Elliot has convinced him it’s for the right reasons.

‘What he wouldn’t give to tell her, to set her free from all the angst he knew she must be feeling, all the confusion they’d caused by seducing her into loving them before she even realized she could…’

Gradually, PJ starts to heal and in the process gets to know her sexy gay neighbours more intimately than she ever would have dreamed. When Elliot opens up to her about his past in an effort to help her with her own inner turmoil, she can’t quite believe the gift he’s given her, and her heart cracks open just that little bit more.

‘She trusted this man, with her body and with her heart. What she wasn’t expecting was for him to trust her with his.’

Ultimately, when the time comes for Mika and Elliot to finally put their hearts on the line or risk losing her once again, they are forced to reveal their own deception before they want to; before they think she’s ready. They only hope the love they have for her will be enough to retain her trust.

“None of it matters anymore, Tesorino. That night you became ours. I don’t think either of us could have felt more for you than we did when we walked through your door and found you.”

‘For the first time PJ looked at them not as her gorgeous gay neighbors, but as two men who wanted her in their lives, wanted her between them in every sense of the word.’

Despite her misgivings and the utter sense of betrayal she feels at being lied to, again – especially by these of all men, PJ can’t help but fall and resolves to give herself into their care.

‘She’d never known anything like it, never imagined it was possible to be so completely taken over by another, by two.’

But after a blissful week of passion, PJ can feel that they’re holding back, each denial only hurting her more until in the end, when more lies and deceptions, secrets and omissions come to light PJ can’t see a way through it. In trying to protect the most valuable thing in their lives, Mika and Elliot may just have lost her for good. Stubborn and unrelenting to the last, Elliot’s final ultimatum may be all it takes to break what they have together.

‘She knew dominant men, knew the all-consuming heat of their love. One had almost destroyed her. How was she going to deal with two?’

Lily Freeman’s debut trilogy utterly stands out in its field, and this final book To Catch a Flame, is an amazing conclusion to PJ’s story. The writing is phenomenal, the characters so real, the story draws you in, completely immerses you in PJ, Mika and Elliot’s lives and the whole is put together with an all-consuming passion that will keep you coming back for more. Enthralling, original and with a realistic progression that just lets you believe, I think the conclusion to this story will finally leave you satisfied.
I have loved this trilogy from beginning to end and I would recommend Lily Freeman as a new author who will more than reward you for the time and effort you put in to reading her books. If you love a bit of kink and spice along with outstanding romance and characters to dig your fingers into, these books are for you – read them, love them and pass the word on.

I got this book from from the author.

If you haven't read the first two books then you really need to go read them before you pick this one up. There is a lot that happens in the first two that lead up to this one. Especially the chemistry build up of Mika, Elliot and Pj.

This books starts off right where the last one left off. Mika and Elliot are determined to help PJ get past what Luke did to her. They are in love with her but PJ still thinks that they are strictly gay. They keep that secret for a lot of the book and that honestly upset me. A lot of the problems they dealt with at the start of their relationship with PJ could have been avoided if they were just honest with her. PLUS they also hold another secret back from her even after they started dating her. It makes me sad.

The other thing I really didn't like was how Elliot handled some parts of the relationship. He acted like Luke a few times. I mean he never hurt her but he refused to hear her out and instead of explained his POV he just demanded that he was right. There was a lot of tension in the relationship that I feel could have been avoided.

Don't get me wrong. I still loved the book. It was heartwarming and sexy and just sweet as hell. I want a Mika and Elliot in my life. !

I love, LOVE Mika, Elliot and PJ. I am so sad that their story is over but I am glad that PJ finally got the men she deserved.

After everything that PJ has been through since book 1, this was a very well deserved and long awaited ending. But just like the rest of the series, nothing comes easy.

The love that PJ thinks she's found with Mika and Elliot is thrown into question when the truth about their relationship comes to light. After what PJ went through with Luke she's not sure if she can trust her feelings and put herself in the hands of these two dominant men. With doubts clouding her mind she does the only thing she can...she runs. Only this time, Mika and Elliot aren't going to let her go. But will their love be strong enough to hold her and earn back her trust?

I thought this was an excellent ending to this emotional series. While it was a struggle to watch everything that happened to PJ, when she finally finds her place it makes it all worthwhile. I would highly recommend this series.

18+ and only if you like m/m/f and bdsm. I won this book I think so I haven't read the first two but if they are anything like this then they are amazing. I could figure out what had led up to the beginning of the 3rd book and bits and pieces came through in the story. I thought this was artfully written even with all the sex that was so detailed and hot. The tangled love between Mika, Elliott and PJ keeps you wanting more. I look forward to book 4 that is PJs best friend and Trey. I definitely need to go read books 1 & 2 to catch up on what I missed.

Holy hotness! This book had it all, super hot, dirty, sex scenes, exes, figuring out the rest of Pj's life. This book had a lot more sex in it than the last 2 books. I love the way the author pulls you into what the character's are feeling and what they're going through. I wasn't sure what was going to happen in the end or if the author was going to throw a wrench into the works!
Not everything had gotten settled though. We still don't know about Master Trey and India, how Luke will get over PJ. I hope to read the next installment when it comes in and any other books this author has written. Well done.

WOW, an amazing 3rd book in an awesome series. You definately need to read these books in order to fully understand the story. I loved everything about this series, the story, characters and the very steamy sex scenes. All three books contain alot of sexy, this book has MF, MM and MMF, and BDSM, definately an erotic romance.

PJ is finally finished with Luke but she has a long way to go to recover from the physical and psychological damage he has left behind. Her gorgeous gay (she thinks) neighbours are there all the way providing care and unconditional love, their friendship finally moved to romance, and alot of sex, once they tell her how they feel and what they want. But there are still some very big secrets and what will happen PJ finds out, they can't hide forever.

This is the 3rd and final book in the red series that involves the relationships between PJ, Luke, Elliot & Mika. The books starts right at the point book 2 left and the first few chapters are heartbreaking to read and had me in tears more than once.

Now that PJ has Luke out of her life it pushes her even more towards her what she thought were gay best friends and lovers but when she discovers that they are actually bisexual she starts questioning if she can finally be happy and have a relationship with them both and become a happy couple of three.

The book however have some twists and turns some that is expected and some that aren't, I do feel that PJ over reacted to the secret between Elliot & Mika as anyone else could see the secret a mile off, I did laugh at her mini temper tantrum as this just proved the whole point as to why they were reluctant to tell her at the time.

I loved the ending between them all and I am now looking forward to reading what happens between India & Tory however I still feel that India & Jack have more of a connection so will be interesting to find out how that all develops the same between Bo & Adam.

Ok, everything is done and well. Now I just want Luke to have a happy ending. Even if he is a psycho sadist, I want him happy.

I did this review for the Quill and Ink Team. This book had me in my emotions. I felt so many different things throughout this book. This book is just as amazing as the rest of the series. I am glad that PJ had her neighbors to fall on after what Luke did to her. I never would have thought things would have ended up the way they did. I am glad for how things ended in the book. I recommend reading the complete series and I really enjoyed this book.

Quotes I liked from this Book: “I’ll find your weak points, then I’ll use them against you until you beg me to stop, but I won’t. I’ll deny you the things you want until it hurts so fucking much, tears will be the starting point, not the end, then I’ll take everything that gives you pleasure like my mouth, my cock, my hands…Mika, and I’ll turn them against you, but I swear to god, you’ll love it.”

What I liked/Didn’t Like: I was very impressed by this book. As the final part with PJ Mica and Elliot it was a great ending to PJ’s story. I can’t wait to see what happens to the rest of the characters in this series.

I give To Catch a Flame (The Red Series #3) 5 stars for delivering more steaminess but also a tender side to a sadist. I've truly enjoyed the interactions between these characters and their self-discovery. The scenes are fantastic, the characters awesome, and the story was very interesting.

Lily Freeman has done it again...delivered a fantastic BDSM novel chalked full of suspense, romance, intrigue and steamy scenes that pick up where Fire in the Blood left off. Great scenes and great writing.

Are there different levels of sadism? Masochism? I would have to say yes. PJ discovers she can trust her neighbours....with her life. These three share an all consuming love until she learns something that she may not be able to accept.

Mika and Elliott, submissive and dominant boyfriends, have stripped her bare. What they've hidden from her has the power to ruin them. Can she forgive them? Will she give them what they want?

Join PJ, Mika and Elliott as they try to work through the secrets and lies that the guys have withheld from her. Does PJ face her fears so that she can claim the hearts of her two men?

To Catch a Flame (The Red Series #3) is a contemporary erotic, BDSM novel that will get you excited. It will toy with your emotions and you will route for for Mika and Elliott and, of course, PJ.

Lily Freeman just stole my heart with this series! I am in serious love with these books, these characters, everything! When I read the blurb for A Little Band of Red, I was immediately intrigued because I do enjoy my romance a touch dark, especially with some BDSM. I raced thru that book, and then the next one, only to realize I didn't have the last book. I almost panicked, and went begging for an ARC so I could finish this beautiful series!!

I think one of the things I really enjoyed most about this series, is that her characters not only have so much depth to them, but it's written in a more realistic style than most books. You actually see PJ worrying about how she will fit into the established relationship that Mika and Elliott have. Most books don't touch on the fact that threesomes can be complicated, especially when two of the people are in a long term relationship. So it was a little refreshing to see that bit of realism there. Realism aside, it was such an incredibly sexy story! I loved it!! The emotions, the angst and heartbreak, the hope for more and desire to work towards achieving it. This was an incredibly sexy trilogy, with a strong storyline and fascinating supporting characters! I can't wait to read Indy's story next!!

I wish I could give more than 5 Stars ! This series is a gem !!
To Catch A Flame is book three in " The Red Series" by Lily Freeman. And is Not a stand-alone. Please read first , book one and two " A Little Band of Red" and "Fire in The Blood" .

After PJ´s and Luke´s last violent encounter she is terrified and injured in body and soul.
Mika and Elliot are helping her heal. They confess their love to PJ.
But there are more secrets and lies. Can love conquer this ?
In" Catch A Flame" PJ is way stronger than in "A Little Band of Red" and " Fire In The Blood".
She has the strenght to make her own decisions- even if they are painful.
And there is Luke. I didn´t like him very much in book two "Fire In The Blood"; and I still don´t like him in this book. He is obsessed with PJ and can´t leave her alone. I hope for his and my sake that he can find a conclusion.

This is a book that stays with you for days and days.
I really really hope there will be a sequel, because I can´t say good bye -yet to PJ , Mika and Elliot.
Oh and mentioned I this book is HOT HOT ? It is !!
I Highly recommend this book !!
To Catch A Flame goes into my reread folder.
This book deserves 6 Stars. Thank you so much Lily Freeman!!!

To Catch a Flame is book 3 in the Red Series by Lily Freeman. It picks up where book 2 ended. PJ trying to over come Luke's attack on her. But luckily she's not alone. She has Mika, and Elliot to fall back on, and to help heal those emotional, and physical wounds.

We discover a huge secret that Mika and Elliot are hiding from PJ. How will she react when she discovers the truth?

I didn't feel to Catch a Flame was in the BDSM genre. It was definitely a sexy hot ménage. The sex sceans are SCORCHING HOT! I did enjoy the sizzle factor. And it was able to hold my attention much more then book 2 had. And I was extremely happy to see the three of them get a HEA.

This book picks up with P. J. struggling, both physically and mentally, to get past Luke's attack. Elliott and Mika are of course there to help, and we get to see a much softer side to Elliott. This books adds some new characters and catches up with some old ones, offering a promise of many more books to come.

I love the little community that the the author has created for this series. Each member has their own personality and idiosyncrasies, but they all fit together perfectly. I hate to compare it to Friends, but the characters work together so well, that it really has a Friends sort of feel to it. Of course this crew has much more diversity, and much more drama.

I really never expected Elliott to come out as my favorite character, but as his secrets are slowly revealed, I found myself liking him more and more. Plus Elliott is one seriously hot Dom, particularly when has Mika and P. J. both submitting to his will.

As promised by the author, a lot of secrets are revealed in this book, but there are many left for future books. I am really looking forward to continuing on with the series.

This is the third and concluding part of this trilogy, and ONG, what an awesome story it is. I have been waiting for Mika and Elliot’s book, and I was by no means disappointed with it. Be aware though, these books are not standalones, and need to be read in order for an in-depth understanding of these characters.
Mika and Elliot are determined to show PJ that she is not alone as she recovers physically and emotionally from her ordeal. When secrets, lies, betrayal, deception, and omissions, are revealed will this be the end? You really need to read this for yourself to find out!
For a debut trilogy, this author has done a phenomenal job in writing this story and I was intrigued, captivated, and enthral throughout. What an amazing conclusion to a brilliant trilogy! Congratulations Lily, you have raised the bar extremely high with each of these books, and I am in awe of your brilliant talent. I recommend your work for all, and I have already added you to my favourites list. I cannot wait to read more from this author.

Wow where should I start, maybe where book 2 left off - explosively!

Oh my god this book is sooooo hot, the sex scenes had me almost running for my shower to cool down! The characters are moody and mean but also sexy and hot, with dark secrets coming out from time to time. I just LOVE ménage books and was just super-hot with loads of sexiness. I love the way the characters truly, deeply care for each other. The book had me on the edge of my seat. I could feel the emotions ripping their way off of the pages.

PJ is a strong independent woman but holds darkness. Mika and Elliot (her very friendly next door neighbours) with dark secrets of their own. I loved these characters and they all brought something different to the story.

This is a brilliantly written book and an exciting finish to the trilogy. I wish I could tell you about it but it's hard to write a review for the 3rd book in the series in fear of giving anything away. What I will say is that this is a series NOT to be missed!

Well! THERE WAS A HAPPILY EVER AFTER!

This is the final novel in Lily Freeman's Red Trilogy and it was less dark than the first two. This is the story of Elliot, PJ, and Mika and how they dealt with the problems of submission, domination, bondage, sadism and masochism within their relationship. PJ has been hurt very badly, both physically and psychologically by her last relationship who beat, whipped, and bit her until she almost died. So the idea in entering into a relationship with another sadistic dominant, much less two, has her terrified, even if the two are men she adores. Freeman has such a fine hand at drawing realistically damaged and broken characters you can't help but root for them. You even wish in the back of your heart that the villains will find happiness. I loved all 3 of these books and I can't wait for the next novel in this grouping, a spinoff about two of the other characters in the books.

ARC in exchange for an honest review

This book picks up exactly where the last book finished, and if you remember, that poor PJ was left emotionally and physically abused by Luke. This is where her gay neighbours come to the rescue. They've always been there for PJ, supporting her and being her friends throughout all her struggles with Luke, but now they're finally ready to up the anti and make her theirs.
This book is an emotional roller coaster for PJ, and IMO some of her reactions were a bit OTT but considering what she's been through I guess it could be logical.
Mika and Elliott are everything you could want and more. They're kind, caring, generous and deliciously sexy in the bedroom. The way they care for PJ, and anticipate her needs is nothing short of spectacular. They are simply put...awesome!! I really enjoyed this and look forward to more in this series.

I loved it! Mika and Elliot are so hot! As Mika and Elliot help PJ recover from her injuries caused by Luke, they all grow closer and closer until they can't deny their feelings towards each other. PJ is surprised, but happy to find out that Mika and Elliot are bisexual and not just gay, like she had originally thought. PJ couldn't be happier with both of her men, until she realizes they are keeping something from her. Can she trust them still? Can Elliot prove to PJ that he is not like Luke? I really enjoyed this book, and can't wait to read India's story, and hopefully Bo's story someday.

Third book in the serie and I loved it.
The story is still really well written, Lily doesn't disappoint me !
You get to see more of Mika/Elliot and PJ relationship, and to be honest who doesn't want them in their life.
But sometimes Elliot reminded me of Luke (and I didn't like it one bit), not that he ever hurt her but he never listenned to her properly and I though all the tension could have been less if Elliot acted differently.
