Blush for Me is the third book in Kristen Proby's Fusion series. When I'm in the mood for a fun and steamy romance, this series has really hit the spot. Ever since I met the girls at Fusion, I was excited for Kat's story. It didn't disappoint. Kat was just as fantastic as I thought she would be.

Kat is one of those women who is perfectly content being single. When she goes away on a work trip, she decides she needs a little sexcation. Vacation sex without strings. She meets Mac who fits the bill perfectly. Mac isn't one for relationships so they have the perfect set up. When Kat comes home and finds out that Mac works and lives near her, she doesn't know what to think. Kat and Mac have fun together so they figure it's no harm in having some fun and sleeping together for a little while longer... but the more time they spend together the more they start to truly like one another.

These two perpetually single people start to fall. And they don't know what to do about it. Mac and Kat together. Holy wow. This is by far the steamiest K Proby book I've read in a while. Their chemistry was explosive!!! I loved how much they had in common and how they treated one another. Mac is by far my favorite hero of this series so far. I loved how bossy and in control he was, but also how thoughtful and sweet he could be. They really made a great match. Even if they didn't know it at first.

Towards the end of the story, there was a little more suspense/family drama added in, but it wasn't too over the top and didn't take away from the story so I didn't mind. I'm not sure if Riley or Mia's book is next, but I'm really hoping it's Mia. I don't care who it's with- I'm just dying for her story! If you're looking for a book that's sweet, sexy, lighthearted, and a whole lot of fun, pick up Blush for Me! I enjoyed this one lots!

Reading this series is like sitting down with a group of friends and chatting for hours. These characters become so real for me and Kristen Proby manages to weave her readers into this series and make them a part of it. I can't honestly say how or why this happens, I just know that when I pick up one of her books I'm prepared to be taken away to another place and experience the characters stories along with them.

Blush for Me follows Kat and Mac, two wine connoisseur who first met on a flight to a conference. Mac helped the terrified Kat get through the few hours spent on the plane and then watched her runaway once they landed. He couldn't get her out of his head though and was shocked to find her attending the same conference he was at. Not letting the opportunity get away from him he pursues her and the two spend the weekend fulfilling Kat's promise to her friends to have a sexcation. When the weekend was over they went their separate ways and Kat never thought she'd see Mac again...until he walks into her bar and lets it known that he wants more from her than a weekend.
"You're stuck with me.

I'm in love with all of these characters in the series but I honestly think Mac has earned himself the number one spot. He was so ridiculously sexy with Kat, and he was the man that we all wish we had. Attentive, giving, understand, and hot as hell. Girls, he gave Kat access to his roof view so she could sit out there with her Kindle and read! Swooned so hard right there. There were so many times that I was doing nothing but happy sighing and re-reading little parts because Mac was being so friggin' sexy and I think anyone else that reads this book will be doing the same.

Overall, this book was the perfect story for when I was looking for a sweet, low-angst, kind of story. Kat and Mac had an amazing connection, and I liked seeing the chemistry that was between them. This is a definite recommend from me.

4.5 'Blushing' Stars

Blush for Me is an amazing, lighthearted, thoughtful and sexy story! The third installment of the series, and I have to say, my favorite so far, tells us the story of Kat, the independent, sassy and overall kickass bar manager of our Seduction restaurant – the setting of all the series -, and Mac, the handsome, caring, and charming wine tour businessmen and how a simple sexcation becomes so, so much more!

Kat meets Mac in her worst nightmare come true, her first flight, and he becomes her save anchor, grounding and calming her when that very thing seemed almost impossible. Even in this less than appealing scenario, they can’t help but notice the immediate attraction, so when they are in their destination and realize they are spending one week together, they decide decide to enjoy it to the fullest, and Kat gets her sexcation, and they are more than happy with their no strings attached sexy times. Or so they thought…

Of course the plan falls flat when after that week they just crave each other more. So, for the first time in his life Mac decides to work for the attention and care of a woman, and Kat was more than worthy of that. It was game on!!!

I need to put some effort into it, and honestly, she deserves no less than that.
Romance just isn’t on my radar because it’s not something I do.
But I’m about to.

Kat had her own reservations, and doubts because of her past, but like the incredibly intelligent and rational woman that she is, soon she realizes that Mac is not just another men, and how could she not? He romanced the sh!t out of her! Swoon worthy, hearts in the eyes kind of romance! And reading Kat her sexy romances? HOT!!!

“I’m falling for you, Katrina,” I murmur against her lips. Her eyes open in surprise, and just when I expect her to say something along the lines of this is moving so fast, she does what she always does.
She surprises me.
“It’s about time you caught up,”

Yes, they are both equally amazing, I can’t decide who I loved more, because Kristen Proby created one of the best female main characters I’ve ever read. I adored everything about her from her rockabilly clothes to her sarcastic wit, she was AWESOME!!! But man, Mac is the romance hero dreams are made of! And OTT sexy to boot!

I want her. I never stop wanting her.

“She’s my life, Jake. It’s like I was just walking through life in a fog until her, and now I see everything crystal clear. She’s put everything into focus for me. My life doesn’t work without her.”

Sweet baby Jesus! See what I’m talking about?!

Ok, I’ll try to restrain my Mac fan-girling now and say it was in incredible to see all the Seduction gang, and they give us some fantastic in depth moments, and a lot of hilarious ones (poor Riley, lol), and some heartwarming scenes. The side plot is well developed, and I loved how it flowed naturally without stealing from the unforgettable love story! Kat and Mac were perfect together and I can’t wait to see more of their future in the upcoming books! And that snippet makes me wonder, who comes next? Mia or Riley? It can go both ways, and I want more Fusion NOW!!!

“I love you, but even those words seem too simple to describe how I feel about you. It’s an ache, right here in my chest, but it’s an ache that you don’t want to end. I look at you, and I’m calm. I hold you and I’m complete.

“Loving you, Kat, is like coming home, and it’s better than any other feeling I’ve ever had.”

“Loving you is what calms me in the storm, Mac. It’s the safest thing I’ve ever done.”

“As long as we’re together, it doesn’t matter the pace. It’s the journey, not the destination.”

4.5 - "It's the journey, not the destination..." Stars!

Kristen Proby, is one of my go-to authors when it comes to contemporary romance, this is an author that for me has delivered again and again when it comes to her couples, series development and the story-lines she gives them.

Blush for Me delivered on all three counts as expected, and the Fusion series just goes from strength to strength as each of the Seduction girls meets and falls in love with their matches, and quirky Bar Manager Kat’s coming together with Ryan ‘Mac’ Mackenzie was as good as the preceding books.

"Do you spit?"

All stemming from a sexcation on a wine tasting trip, Kat was expecting the connection that she found with Mac to fizzle and die once she returned home, but Mac has other ideas, especially when he realizes that their proximity to each other is not a million miles. I liked that the relationship between these two was built away from the rest of the girls and Seduction, Kat has played an active role in the previous books, but she was really given a chance to shine in this one, and as a reader I feel like I got to know her better as a character in those first few chapters when she is on her own with Mac.

"You pay attention, and that means a lot…"

"You mean a lot."

There is a little familial drama on Mac’s side, but it wasn’t overplayed, it added to the story ‘just right’, and we are also introduced to his brother as well (also single), so hopefully there will be a book there at some point in the future.

"It’s the journey, not the destination."

I am loving this series, this is an author who knows how to build something exceptional book by book, and although each story is about a different character, everybody who has already been, and is still to come is kept involved in general as the series develops, everyone included in it does as well. you almost feel like part of the family the more books you read as its like visiting with old and very much cared for friends.

Book four in the Fusion series; The Beauty of Us, is due for release in August, and I am really looking forward to seeing ‘unlucky in love’ Riley, finally get her own happily ever after.

Kristen Proby fuses together another sweet, sexy, and steamy romance that will make her readers blush as hearts will be fluttering for Ryan "Mac" MacKenzie in her latest release,Blush For Me. If you have been following the Fusion Series, then you would understand why I love this series so much because Kristen does it again as whips up one sophisticated modern romance that weaves friendship and passion on the forefront.

#BlushForMe

In this third installment that can be read as standalone, readers are introduced to a group of girlfriends who started a business together. Not only are they business partners but they are best friends. When two of Katrina’s friends found their happily ever after, it is now time for the sassy and independent Kat to get hers. And so when her friends encourage her to mix business and pleasure hence a sexacation in Napa Valley occurs. So when Kat meets Mac, there were sparks flying. Well more like clothes are flying and lots and lots of hot sweaty sex. When their sexacation is over, Kat goes on her separate ways thinking that she won’t meet Mac again. Well think again. So what happens when Kat and Mac discover that they have more than wine and sex in common? What happens when they both realize that this thing between them is something more?

Blush For Me was an absolute treat of a read. This book was dripping with lots of playful moments, sex, passion, romance, friendship and of course heart. So if you are looking for a romance that had fun feisty girlfriends who support and lift each other up, then this modern romance of dating and relationship is the book for you.

“Have you flown before, Kat?”
“No.” I swallow hard and tighten my hands into fists.
“Okay, take a deep breath,” he says. He’s not touching me, which is good because I’d have to break his nose, and this is already stressful enough. But his voice is soothing.

I fell in love with Katrina Meyers from the first moment she was introduced in Listen to Me. She’s one of the partners of Seduction, the one who runs the bar. Kat’s cynical, very smart, tough and a bit of a bad-ass. I love the way she dresses with her rocker look and her sleeves of tattoos. And she was SO awesome in this book! Her loyalty to her friends and her excellent right hook made me love her even more. She’s isn’t scared of anything. Except flying. And in order to visit Napa Valley for work she had to face her fear. Luckily the guy seated next to her tried very hard to keep her calm. And when it turned out that Mac was going to the same wine tour, they decide to enjoy the intense chemistry between them, and have a week of no strings fun. Kat never expected to see Mac again, even though at the end she would have liked that.

I’m not a patient man. I want Kat.

Ryan “Mac” Mackenzie is used to being in charge, to calling the shots professionally and personally. And he can’t help but be fascinated by the feisty Kat. I loved Mac and the fact that despite his history of not wanting anything serious with a woman, he still made sure that he saw Kat again after their tour. The way he respected her and just wanted to spend time with her made me love him even more.

”Loving you, Kat, is like coming home, and it’s better than any other feeling I’ve ever had.”

The romance was awesome! I loved their instant attraction and although they started with thinking it was just casual, just a week of fun, both of them was interested in more from the beginning, even though they didn’t understand why their feelings were so intense. The sexy times were so hot especially with Mac’s dominant side and I loved that there was no pushing away between them, no unnecessary drama at all.

“I think Cami, Addie, and Kat got the only nice ones,” Mia says. “Riley and I are shit out of luck.”
“I found a good one,” Cici says helpfully. “You guys will too. You just have to kiss a bunch of frogs before you find your prince.”
“My prince is lost,” Riley says.
“And too stubborn to ask for directions,” Mia adds.

I absolutely adore this group of friends, the women are so special and amazing and I can’t wait for the next book. I really loved this book, my only complaint was that the suspense near the end was so quickly resolved that I felt I missed a few pages.

Kristen Proby writes my kind of romance. It’s sweet and sexy and makes my heart swoon every time. You can’t go wrong with her books. Highly recommended.

I have been thinking about how to rate Blush for Me since I finished it last night and I have gone with 4 stars this is the first time I have rated a Kristen Proby full length novel lower than 5 stars.

Don't get me wrong I loved getting to know Kat and Mac and spending time with them they are a kickass couple and I loved catching up with the rest of the gang and being introduced to some new people. This is a classic KP romance with her usual format.

I wonder if Riley and Chase will end up together???

I have read ALL of Kristen's books and by now I know how her mind works maybe to well so when I met Preston I knew the connection and what was going to happen a few chapters from the end and I was correct so there was no surprise for me and I felt the ending was a bit flat no big finish.

Kristen Proby is one of my favourite authors and I always read her books on release day and I will continue to do so.

This series is just amazing.

I m just luv in this series so much. It just keeps getting better and better. This book is Kat's I was dying for her book she is totally bad ass and I was dying to know more about her. She is just brilliant she as great personality and her style is just fab. She is great at her job she is coming owner if the bar with her best friends. Kat is highly intelligent but isnt cocky she chose what she luvs and i luv that about her. The way she meets Mac is so funny it's not her finest moment but she works with it. I was dying to see how things were goin to be with them.

Mac is just a great guy the way he helped Kat was just so sweet. They just hit it of straight away. The connection was very strong from the start. But they only had a week so they would have to make the must of it. Them having a week of sexy time or as Kat and her friends put it her sexcation haha I luv this. These 2 are so hot together Mac and his bossy ways were so hot it's the only time he would get away with Kat she's so independent but she luv him being so alpha in the bedroom. Kat had only wanted sexcation she wasn't up for anything longer she just wanted to enjoy him on her trip and that was it. She just didn't count that she would like him so much.

I really luvd this book. It was so good the story had my sucked in straight away. Like I said this series is really good but I m a big fan of the author. I just enjoy her books so much. Her men are always hot and Mac was so sexy I really like his character. The girls are just fab there isn't one that I don't like they r so close and they have a great relationship. I would highly recommend this book its full of sexiness hot men great friends and add a lil drama. It was just brilliant.

Tough, intelligent, no-nonsense wine bar manager Katrina Myers decides to take a relaxing and fun sex vacation only to get her there she has to face her biggest fear....flying. Scared and embarrassed she clings to the handsome and sexy man sitting next to her with a death grip and while on vacation they indulge in a holiday romance with no string attached, only Ryan "Mac" Mackenzie can't seem to get Katrina out of his mind. Lucky for him he owns his own wine touring company himself so he decides to take a tour of the popular "Seduction Bar" that's owned by Katrina along with her BFF's and see where their mutual chemistry will take them. This was a lovely light romance read in the Fusion series, with a small amount of drama and action, great characters, hot sex and brilliant narration by Abby Craden and Sebastian York.

This book could be an easy read. Sweet, low angst, low drama and just short easy sweet romantic steamy romantic that kind of read.

But the last hour of the book, ruins it. The twist is just so out of the place and confusing everything. So i drop my rating to 3 stars.

What a pity. I like Kat. She maintain her fiestiness through out the book. And Max is such a patient sweet man.

This is my favorite book from The Fusion Series!!!! I've found it and I am sooo glad I waited until this one to give my 5 stars to Kat and Mac. They truly deserve it:) After reading the first 2 books, I was so drawn into this universe that Kristen created and I wanted to stay a little longer. The friendship between Addie, Mia, Cami, Kat and Riley is amazing and the stories they share are steamy and enjoyable.

"Blush for Me" is my favorite, not only in plot but also in characters. I loved Kat for her free spirit and Mac for being so persistent and alpha like. To share something from the plot, Kat travels to a whine convention and has to fly there. She is terrified of flying and convinced that she will die during the trip. In the plane she has seats near Mac, who is travelling also to that convention, but Kat doesn't know it yet. They began to talk and as the plane takes off, some turbulences occur, leaving Kat to have a panic attach. Mac is there for her, comforting and trying to make her relax until landing. Feeling sick, Kat will run from Mac at the airport, but bhey will meet again at the wine convention and will become friends with benefits for a week. Only that Mac has other plans and will pursue Kat and try to figure out what this thing between them really means.

My favorite part of this book was Kat. I loved her personality, her free spirit, her style, intelligence and classiness. I loved how impulsive she is, but also how sweet and vulnerable she could be when opening her heart. Her relationship with Mac was really fun to watch, because they shared so many moments that could fit in a photo album. I discovered another Kat, a more vibrant person, which I really enjoyed reading about. Her dedication to her job and friends is admirable and the feelings she put in everything made me like her more. Mac was also very intense, showing her with words and action the depth of his feelings. They really made a nice fit, and I think Kristen made a very good choice by bringing them together.

The plot was the most complex, from my POV. It has intense scenes, funny ones, but also sad and thrilling. Kristen gave this book a more suspense twist and I loved it, because you need some action from time to time. The pack is together again, united as ever and you will love reading about the girls again.
Definitely my favorite book from the series:)

5 stars!

Can I just take a moment and express just how much I ADORE this series?! The Fusion Series by the amazing Kristen Proby is absolutely WONDERFUL! These characters are EVERYTHING and book covers are some of my all time favorite book covers ever! Ms. Proby knows just what her fans like and she delivers EVERY SINGLE TIME.

BLUSH FOR ME is book three in the series, but it can be read as a standalone. Personally, I think it would be EVEN BETTER if you read it in order, because there is so much character cross-over, but ultimately it's up to you to take that chance. This is Kat and Mac's story and it's just so amazing. It's Kat's turn at a sexcation and boy does she have a WINNER when she meets Mac. While out-of-town at a conference, they can't keep their hands off of one another. It's a whole week of PURE SEXY BLISS with no strings. At least that's how these 'sexcations' are supposed to work, but we know how well that has worked in the past.

"You can be as sassy as you want out of the bedroom, but you don't get to call all the shots in here, sweetheart."

Out of sight, out of mind, right? I don't think so! Just when Kat is kicking herself and Mac for not reaching out to her, guess who strolls into her bar? Oh ladies, it's about to get good!

Katrina Meyers does not need a gorgeous bossy male-specimen in her life, but in the bedroom, that's another story. Kat and Mac's chemistry is EXPLOSIVE and BEAUTIFUL. It's INTENSE and filled with SO MUCH passion. You will not want to look away from the pages. Cover to cover, this romance hit all the right spots! This series keeps getting better and better, and I can't wait to see what sexy shenanigans Ms. Proby brings us next with Riley's story!

“I’m not some damsel that needs to be rescued from the storm. I am the goddamn storm.”

Loved the heroine.
Not every day I have a pleasure to read a sassy girl :-)
“Stop being romantic, you’re supposed to just fuck me blind.”

The hero was ok I guess. Couldn’t connect with him.
He lost me at “passive women” comment. Completely and unrecoverable lost me.

Passive women, bro? Really? How about active a**holes?

It’s me being fussy and niggling. It’s annoying, I know. Sorry.

The end.

Book Review: 5 Million Stars

I love the Fusion series so much! I adored the first two books like crazy—you can see how much in my reviews of Listen to Me and Close to You —, and I knew I’d love Kat’s story, but Oh. My. God. this book was perfection! I was hook from the very beginning, i transported myself to the Fusion universe and I didn’t want to get out of there. The romanticism and eroticism in this story was flawless, I fell in love with Kat and Mac and I didn’t want it to end, because, really, Blush For Me was one of the best books I’ve read this year.

Blush For Me features the love story of Kat and Mac. Kat is one of five owners of Seduction, she’s in charge of the bar and she’s passionate for wines, which is why she ended up traveling to a wine convention in California, where she met the most amazing, romantic sex god, Mac. They had one helluva #Sexcation and despite they said it was going to be just during the wine event, once they were back to their lives, they couldn't stop thinking about one another. A few weeks later Kat was surprised with a visit of Mac and this is how their sexy romance continued. Their relationship was so real and beautiful, Kat and Mac didn’t only had the best chemistry, they trusted each other, cared deeply for what happened in their lives and they fell madly and deeply in love <3

And this is the reason why I loved it so much: They both believed LOVE wasn’t for them and they were content with just having casual hook ups—or sexcations like Kat liked to call them—until they found each other. I always say “ You don’t know when you’ll meet the right person” and this is what happened to Kat and Mac. They were RIGHT for each other… No, no, they weren’t right for each other, they were PERFECT for each other *sigh* A perfect love story.

I can’t wait for the next installment of the Fusion Series, The Beauty of Us , Riley’s story.

And now, all I have left to do now is wait for next week’s email from Audible notifying me I have my audiobook available and relive this amazing story all over again.

The Fusion series keeps pulling me more into as I get more attached to this dynamic groups of five friends and and co-business owners and them men who have started claiming them. We've seen Addie and Jake, and Cami and Landon fall, and now it is Kat's turn.

Kat runs the wine bar at Seduction. She is like a colorful, pretty pin-up girl with a quirky sense of style and tats. She's sassy, stubborn, but also sweet. She's stepping out of her comfort zone by getting on airplane to attend a wine conference in Napa.

Her seat mate and savior is Mac. He keeps her as calm as possible during her flight panic. He's hot, charming, funny, and bossy. So he is the perfect candidate to become her "sexcation" partner. They plan to enjoy their week in Napa with wine, fun, and sexy times, and then go their separate ways. Neither is looking for a relationship. They are both work-a-holic business owners, and Kat has been pretty vocal about not needing a man or wanting kids. And they were also both terrified of anything serious. So it seems like the perfect plan for both of their mutual benefit. What could possibly go wrong?

I actually loved these two together. Their chemistry was off the charts, but they also had just a natural and easy going rapport that made them a good match. They complemented each other and could appreciate the other's differences. They balanced each other out. He could calm her and make her feel safe while accepting her as she is. And she had a calming effect on him as well, but also challenged him. They could make each other feel alive, wanted, and cared for. For someone who swore he was not romantic, he could be quite swoony when he wanted to be. And as stubborn and independent as she was, being taken care of was a refreshing change for her.

I enjoyed spending more time with group since they are so much fun and all have such dynamic personalities. There were some fun events for couples we already care about. We also met Mac's brother, Chase, who fit right in. For the most part this couple acted maturely and communicated fairly well, despite some transient issues. But they could also push each other's buttons at times, but that was part of the fun of their exchanges. It was not overly angsty, but there was some drama and a bit of suspense in this one that made it more tense and interesting.

This was really a sweet, sexy, heartfelt read about finding love when you least expect it and living life to the fullest. But they both had some things to learn along the way about themselves and each other.

I am looking forward to Mia's and Riley's stories. They are the last two single women standing. There was a bit of a tease at the end and it sounds like a fun concept.

I was gifted a copy in exchange for an honest review.

That I forgot the heroine's name while writing this review (and needed to check her name) should have given me some warning signs. Is there a way to admit less bluntly that 'Blush for Me' bored me throughout?

There are bits that I liked and bits that I couldn't find myself interested in: I liked Kat's individuality and how Kristen Proby took pains to highlight it; her compassion and her spunk stood out most of all. But Mac somehow faded into the shadows for me. As a typical male protagonist (the won't commit type but suddenly finds he will after the 'right' one smacks him in the face), I didn't exactly find him prominent or memorable, just that he happened to be at the right place and the right time to change both his and Kat's lives around.

While I appreciate how Proby doesn't make this a destined soulmates sort of book, I simply I found that the story of a 'sexcation' turning into a real relationship trundled nowhere, with almost negligible bumps in between. It is mostly angst-free read though, save for the bits of family drama and the conflict (thankfully) isn't one that is written so that a wedge is deliberately driven between the lead characters.

Yet the number of scenes that simply went on between Mac/Kat which couldn't rouse me from a comatose state after a while as I felt there was nothing much more to this couple I could look forward to.

Blush for Me is the third book in the Fusion series. This series is contemporary romance and the books are interconnected. Each book has different narrators. But all of the previous narrators appear in the subsequent books.

These books are about a group of women (best friends) who opened a trendy Portland restaurant together. The friends are: Addie, Cami, Kat, Riley and Mia. The first book was about Addie. The second book was about Cami. And this book is about Kat. Kat runs the bar at Seduction.

The book alternates first person POVs between Kat and Mac.

The book begins with Kat going out of town for a conference. These books are light and fun and very sexy. Blush for Me was extremely sexy right from the start.

I do enjoy an occasional romance that is a light and quick read. I have enjoyed the first two books in this series. And I was definitely looking forward to reading Kat's story.

However it took me a while to really enjoy this story. I know many people love for books to start out very sexy. But I prefer for the romance to move at a much slower pace.

My favorite part about this series is the women's friendships. I love these women. And it makes me so happy how close they are with each other. I also really like getting glimpses of the relationships from the previous books.

I thought that Blush for Me was a good sequel. I liked Kat. And I enjoyed Kat's love interest. I liked his job and where he lived.

The last part of the book was interesting. There was a very surprising development that I was absolutely not expecting. But the resolution was a bit odd to me. One second one thing was happening and then in the next scene something else happened.

I did enjoy this book. And I look forward to reading Riley's story next.

Blush for Me was straight up awesome. The witty banter between the hero and heroine was off the charts perfect. I wanted to hang out with this couple and be best friends with them! The intelligence it took to write such fascinating dialogue blew me away. I bow down to Kristen's ability. This couple was unique and refreshing but realistic too. An amazing love story that I'd absolutely read again and again.

4 Mac & Kat Stars

Easy to read romance - although I actually listened to chunks of this on audiobook. Mac and Kat have an instant chemistry and embark on what is supposed to be one week of hot sex. A sexcation. No strings. No last names. But Mac finds he can’t stay away from the captivating redhead.
Mac was a more deep thinking hero than I’d anticipated & he was very likeable. Kat is badass and I thought she was well written.

I’ve jumped in at book 3 but this is easily read as a standalone.

HEA? Yes
Cheating? No

This author is one who I have most of her books that she has written and one of those authors that I keep meaning to read. I have to admit; I was like once I had finished Blush For Me - what took me so long? As I loved Kristen Proby's writing. It had just the right touch of romantic comedy but romance and even better the lead female character Kat was smart as she is a member of Mensa and her parents are Rocket Scientists. The other thing I loved was that Kat was a reader. Kat and her friends own a bar called Seduction and using each of their strengths have a job of their own. For Kat, since she loves helping people and wine of course - she is in charge of bartending. It has been awhile since Kat has been laid and heading to Napa Valley for a conference she decides to make it her sexcation. What she didn't expect was to sit next to a hot guy and completely freak out next to him on the plane ride there and for him to turn up at the conference. One thing leads to another and Kat and Airplane guy spend the week having the best sex ever. Turns out though that neither can forget one another and Mac wants more. Will Mac be able to win Kat over as she is a romantic at heart? Though will their relationship be short-lived as Mac's dad is involved with some bad guys who will put two to two together and end up involving Kat in the problem? Find out in this awesome read "Blush For Me" by Kristen Proby. A fun read that had everything from romance, comedy, and action and also heart-stopping moments. I am now looking forward to going back through my Kindle/Ipad and reading her other books.

DNF @ 25%

Rarely do I have the joy of encountering a book in which I hate both the hero and heroine, but that was the case for this book.

The hero initially seemed decent, until he dropped this line:

I don’t do serious relationships,” I say, wanting to make sure she knows the score here. “I like you, but I won’t be pursuing you after this.”

Kind of an asshole thing to say to a woman you’re about to sleep with, but the heroine up until this point has made it clear she only wants a fling as well, so I was willing to keep reading.

Until after they sleep together and part ways, when the heroine drops this bomb to her friend:

He knows where I work,” I reply. “If he was interested, he could find me.”

WHAT? You literally told him multiple times all you wanted was a “sexcation”. Why are you pissed he hasn’t come to find you when he LIVES IN ANOTHER STATE?

And her friend replies with this gem:

“You’re a woman,” Riley says. “We’re not genetically wired to have sex without feelings. It’s okay.”

Oh, okay. All these idiotic games where she expects him to READ HER MIND are just because she’s a woman. I’ve been woman-ing wrong this whole time, guys.

4.5 Blush-Worthy Stars!

Blush for Me is the third installment in the Fusion Series and follows the story of Mac and Kat. For wine bar manager, Kat, there isn’t much that scares her. Between her strong and impressive IQ and devotion to her friends and job, she is a total no-nonsense type of gal. But when Kat finds herself on a flight for a wine tour, she quickly discovers that there is one thing that could bring her to her knees….Flying. As luck would have it though, she was graced with the best possible flight mate, Mac. He calms her down and gives her the strength she needs to make it through the flight. Before they know it, the flight is over, leaving them parting ways…Of course, fate had other plans for these two. When they find themselves on the same wine tour, they spend an unforgettable, no strings attached week together. Their connection is intense and undeniable. Neither one of them can get the other out of their heads and when fate decides to intervene one more time, Mac and Kat can’t stay away from one another leaving them with no other option but to see where their amazing chemistry will take them….

Overall, I think Blush for Me is a wonderful addition to the Fusion Series. This story is incredibly well written and entertaining. The characters are a lot of fun and they just feel like you’ve known them forever. You can’t help but fall for them the moment you meet them and just see where the story is going to go. I loved spending time with Kat and her friends. They are the type of girlfriends that any woman would be lucky to have in their life. And of course, I loved Kat and Mac. Their chemistry was solid and strong. They were the perfect balance and I just couldn’t get enough of the pull between the two of them.

Blush for Me was a fabulous read, from beginning to end. The story was captivating and filled with the sexy and sweet romance that I have come to love from this author. It was perfectly balanced with a little bit of suspense and mystery along the way. Blush for Me gave me everything that I was looking for and I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book in this series!

In book 3 of the Fusion series, Proby delivers what she does best. Some memorable characters with steamy scenes. Although Kat is not my favorite of the 4 Fusion friends, she was fun, funny and, I think a lot of women will find her relatable. Kat is free spirit that connects with Mac while on a Napa bound vacation/work research trip(first of all, where do I sign up for that!!). The vacation served its purpose, she met some new friends, drank some wine and perhaps took care of some other issues.(cough, cough.....sexacation). Fast forward a bit, and apparently what happened in Napa did not stay in Napa........
I liked the characters, but most of all, I liked seeing the other characters in the mix. Its always awesome when the author gives us little glimpses into the lives of previously introduced characters. I didnt love Kat, but......... I honestly think that's because Addison(first book) was written so well, and that book was perfection, that this one just left me a little lacking.........
That being said, having the little bit of drama added, just left me lacking and rolling my eyes to the skies. It was unnecessary and just a tad silly. I think the book, could have stood on its own without it.
However, Proby fans will love getting small glimpses into Kat's personality that coincide with Proby herself......the shoe obsession.......the purses....... That being said, these 2 steamy characters will make you want to be a regular at Fusion.

I don't know what to say....the dialog in these books is uniformly terrible, wooden, and words are occasionally misused. Also, Kristen, people who actually know anything about wine do not sniff corks. What on earth would that tell them? You look at the cork to make sure it matches the bottle if you are drinking wine so expensive people would bother trying to trick you, and you make sure the cork has not become desiccated through bad storage, but the smell thing comes from Bugs Bunny I think. Anyway, there is a rash of cork sniffing in the book. But be all that as it may, when I need sexy mindless background reads I keep nabbing these Kristen Proby books off Hoopla so clearly there is something I like. I will say this is my 3rd book in the series and I liked this couple more than the other two. These characters are smarter than those in the earlier books. The parts where Mac reads raunchy romance novels aloud to Kat is #goals. Another plus, Mac's parents are Eric and Bonnie which are the names of me and my ex. Bonnie is lovely, loyal and long suffering and Eric is a selfish gambling addict, so that was satisfying but obviously not relevant to the broader potential readership.

Blush for Me everything you expect in a Kristen Proby novel. Fun, flirty, sexy and full of heart and heat. I get giddy when I get a new novel from Kristen on my kindle and Blush for Me is no different.

Kat and Mac meet on a flight to Napa and have an instant connection. Mac helps her survive her flight. So when the two end up at a convention together for a week, they decide to let the attraction come out full force and have a week of no-strings attached "sexacation". And Kat hit the jackpot with Mac. But once the week is over, of course, she can't stop thinking about the sexy, sweet Mac. She never expected it to be more. Until Mac shows up in Portland and all bets are off.

Blush for Me is one of those books you never want to end, because you turn those pages so fast that fire could be rising from your kindle. Mac and Kat are perfection. Not a whole lot of drama but heavy on the steam and sexy, sweet romance. Just the way I like it. Another 5 star read from Ms. Proby.
