This is a quick read about two people enamored with each other but afraid to do anything about it. She has inadvertently done something to put herself in danger. Her boss feels that it is up to him to keep her safe since she doesn't know about the threat to her life. This has a cliffhanger. Enjoy I did.

I have read a few books by this author and have really enjoyed them. This book though not so much. I thought it was a very long drawn out beginning of the book with not much excitement. I was surprised too because other books I have read were fabulous. Others may like this book, I don't like to tell people not to read them just because I didn't like the story. Please judge the book for yourself. I received this book for free but that had no bearing on my review.

Another serial. Another day. The first part of the series was free on Amazon recently so I took a shot.
I was disappointed. The story was unrealistic- even for this genre. I think a majority of my issues were on the more technical side though. This felt very much like a rough draft. The dialog is stilted and repetitive. There are very choppy transitions between scenes. It just felt really unfinished- like it was a sketch or pitch of the general story but need all the details filled in. A good editor could help but there are some big issues that need to be fixed.
If the purpose of these serials are to get you to buy into the next however many- this does not do it for me.

When He LUSTS is a fabulous, hot yet heartwarming romance story. Action packed storyline with murder, mystery, thrills, suspense, and passion continue to keep you glued to the pages of this fascinating story. This is the second box set that I read from Alexa Brookes. I like the characters of Jordan and Gracie. Gracie worked for Jordan and she had a secret crush on Jordan (her boss), who was tall, handsome, sexy, and a billionaire. Gracie was shy to say anything to Jordan, and he would not say anything to her even though he liked looking at her. The series will pique your interest and draw you in from the beginning to the very end.

This story and series centers around a billionaire CEO and his assistant. Definitely a set for 18+ due to sexual situations. Very hot and steamy. The box set can be read as a standalone, but each individual episode should not be and should be read in order. Please note that each of the episodes are short quick reads.

Gracie has a secret crush on her boss Jordan but she doesn't know how he feels about her. Jordan is also attracted to Gracie and when an emergency situation arises he wants to protect her. Premise of book is a little unrealistic and book needs better editing.

If this were a date it would be referred to as a tease to read the rest of the series. The story line has potential but from what I got from the first book I would expect the rest to be X rated.

I voluntarily read this arc book. It was a great beginning of Gracie et Jordan story. It was a quick read. It kept me intrigued to the end. I want to read more.
