OH MY, but this book gives new depths & opens up new dimensions to the meanings of DRIPPY and SILLY.

Obviously, I did not expect anything apart from some mindless entertainment, but only got mindless.

If it wasn't for a team reading challenge, I would have dnf-ed it at chapter 3.

Anyway, enough said. Fortunately, it was a kindle freebie - small mercies and all that.

This is such a confusing book! Veronica is a wedding planner and has just gone through a breakup with Jake, only 3 months ago. He went on a trip to Paris, fell in love with Sandrine and now is getting married. And has the gall to ask his ex, Veronica, as the wedding planner!

That alone should have made alarm bells go off in my head, but ok. The fact Veronica said yes made her look weak. She was never enamored with Jake's best friend, Levi, but as the best man she has to deal with hem during the wedding planning. During a dinner she gets drunk (really? During a dinner with her clients?) and wakes up with Levi. When Sandrine asks her to be her bridesmaid and she said yes, again, I was done with Veronica. Really!??? And why would Sandrine ask her? Jake's ex? So confusing. It seemed an elaborate move by the author to get Veronica to Paris, to have time with Levi. Who is the actual hero in the story.

There was a lot of soul searching by Veronica, bad communication between Levi and her and I never got to learn what Levi said to Diego at the cake tasting afer being kneed in the balls by Ophelia. LOL

Wow I didn't expect to like Confessions Of a Wedding Planner so much.It was so so sweet.

This is a truly good story.
The flowing and descriptive writing, the very well depicted characters picked my interest since the first page and make the story easy to read.
The wedding planning and the dates left a smile on my hopeless romantic face.

This is the first novel that I have read by Michelle Jo Quinn and will not be my last...I can't wait to put my hands on the second book in the series.

characters: the characters were all well thought out and complex. they were not what we expected them to be. I loved Nica and Levi I loved in fact all the characters to a certain level. I adored how real they were how real the moral struggle to either save Nicas grace and heart or her company take on a real dealbreaker offer. I loved how she wasnt the whiny protag we are all used to but constantly fighting within herself to stand up strong and thrive forward in life. Even though she is only in her mid 20s. I loved the gay side characters and the steady way there were portrayed.

I loved how the author brought out the real gentleman sugarcoated into hard layer like the candy apple in the festivals the rock hard sugar kinda turns me off from buying it but the inner apple is worth the trouble battling through. Thats how i felt about my honeybunch of a male character.

The only character I loathed with fierce passion was Nicas ex man. I mean come on. seriously? what a douche.

Plot: oh come on! Who doesnt wanna read about a romantic trip to Paris to watch your ex and YOUR dream dress with another tramp. I loved the plot it was so detailed it conflicted me with so many emotions at times making me swoon other times making me spit fire of the anger. Its brilliantly done.

writing/ format: for a not native English speaker the writing was easily understandable. A few words had to be looked up but I got to know what Levi stands for as short so even the format that was jumbled together on my kindle a little was forgettable.

I didn't plan on writing any reviews on Goodreads at all, but this book was soooooo bad I figured I had to at least try to steer others away from a complete and utter waste of time.

A part of me suspects I must have been reading a different book than the people giving this one rave reviews.....

I don't even know where to start with what's wrong with this book, but one word that keeps popping into my mind is "messy".
It's quite evident that the author had different 'play outs' in mind, when she wrote it. Obviously she couldn't decide on which one to go with, so she threw all of them in there - and it's one big mess.
Also the ''heroine" really pissed me off. Never have I come across such an immature woman (and she's supposed to be in her mid-twenty's).
In fact "immature" is another word I would use to describe this book.

I could go on and on explaining why you definitely should drop this book like it's hot, but I've already wasted close to 3 hours reading it - now I have to figure out how to get those 3 hours back

Veronica "Nica" is an event planner, never did she imagine her ex boyfriend would seek her out as the wedding planner for his wedding just 3 months after they spilt. Veronica being the sweet woman she is says yes to Jake & Sandrine that she will plan their wedding. She finds herself stuck with the best man and pretty soon an attraction forms, they annoy each other but can't deny there's a spark between Veronica and Levi.

This book tried to portray the change a woman goes through from a series of events in her life, making her stronger and Come out of her shell... but all I got was frustration at how weak and timid she came across, who says yes to planning their ex's wedding THREE months after they split???? And who says yes to being a bridesmaid in said wedding... hello... Hell hath no fury like that of a woman scorned! Seriously, that was unbelievable, the romance between Levi and Veronica was almost cringe worthy are these high school teenagers making each other jealous over cake?!

A wedding planner & best man romance with a few extra twists in this light hearted clean romance told from female POV only

Confessions of a Wedding Planner by Michelle Jo Quinn was my first book by this author and I overall enjoyed the book. Mixing a wedding planner and best man romance with a few extra twists, the book is a relatively light hearted romance that is solely told from the female lead’s point of view. The book is a full on, slow to steadily paced book but I encourage you to stick with it as in the end we do get a happily-ever-after.

Veronica and Levi don’t have an instant attraction that is obvious, given the circumstances of the book, but is more an attraction that builds up as the book evolves. Veronica, if I’m truly honest, I struggled to connect with at first; she takes some warming up to, although, even later on in the book I had moments of cooling on her character again. Levi we don’t really get to know well as the book is only told from Veronica’s perspective, so as a reader, we are limited in fully understanding about him in any depth. He comes across as a playboy who is changing his ways as things build with Veronica but his true personality only really comes out at the end of the book. There isn’t huge amounts of interaction between Veronica and Levi, just about enough to clearly understand their growing attraction and feelings. The sub-characters were vital in developing the two main characters further to show their various personality traits.

The book was well written with a witty writing style to reflect the humour of the book. There is a slow to steady pace, allowing for the characters’ relationship to be developed rather than just a book where they have an obvious instant connection that you can clearly see will end up with a happily-ever-after. With the plot, you never fully knew what would happen with the two main characters. The book is not explicitly steamy, just a little hint now and then so if you are looking for a steamy romance, this won’t necessarily satisfy you enough as it’s relatively clean. There is a HEA allowing this to be read as a standalone.

Overall, I enjoyed this well written contemporary romance with it’s unique plot and would recommend it to romance fans, especially if you prefer clean contemporary romances.

*I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. I was not compensated for my review, and I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed here is my own.

This is a fun filled story with some great settings and vivid characters that bring the story to life. There is a good balance of romance and comedy and just enough poignancy to make you love Veronica, the wedding planner and want her to find her own happy ever after.
Veronica is an intelligent, sensitive woman with a good heart but can she plan her ex boyfriend’s wedding without sabotaging it or damaging her already broken heart irreparably?
Levi is her ex-boyfriend’s best friend, he is everything she dislikes in a man but so attractive. Circumstances contrive to throw them together with hilarious and often steamy results but is there something she isn’t seeing?
The story is divided into wedding planning milestones, which make it easy reading. The ending is romantic and whilst there is much sensual tension between Veronica and Levi, there is nothing graphic in this lovely story.
I received a copy of this book from the author in return for an honest review.

Decent Story, A Bit Confusing

I liked this story but I have to admit that after finishing it, I’m a little befuddled.

It almost seemed as if the author was setting up different sceneries for the conflict but wasn’t sure where she would take it, so a lot of things felt unresolved. I understand from reading the blurb for the next book that Levi has secrets and we will learn about them later, but if felt like nothing was answered in this one. At times it also felt like Jake was jealous of the attention that Veronica was giving Levi and it might be causing tension between him and his fiance. I was also a bit confused about Veronica abruptly leaving Paris and how it was never really discussed until later. Why didn’t Levi, or anyone else question it sooner?

It just felt like the story wasn’t completely developed but in a strange way it all worked. I think that the story was good, but it could have been amazing.

I've read this one but I completely forgot about it and while I was (re)reading, I had the vague sense of knowing what happened next, and what do you know all my "guesses" about what would happen was actually a memory of mine kicking in. It was such an epic fail, I know lols.
Anyway, back to the book, this was marketed as:
*Standalone book
*No cliffys
*No cheating
*Tons of laugh
And well, that sounds like my ideal kind of book! I really liked the book, it was so fun and easy to read and all that but the fact that I actually forgot that I already read this one, really bummed me out.

Confessions of a Wedding Planner by Michelle Jo Quinn was not exactly what I was expecting, but I was pleasantly surprised by the story. It is a sweet love story that you know from the start will have a HEA, but you might not guess how it will come about.

Ms. Quinn’s story layout was perfect. Each chapter is titled something about a wedding (i.e., cake, bridesmaids, the dress, etc.), and in that chapter, the character interaction surrounds the titled activity of planning the wedding. There was a natural flow to that layout since the lead female character, Veronica, is the wedding planner who has only a month to plan the wedding of the season for her ex-boyfriend and his fiancé. The author’s descriptive writing makes the story locations pop; whether the characters are in San Francisco or Paris, you are enveloped in the scene by the sights, sounds and tastes described in the story.

The characters swept me off my feet. Veronica is the sole narrator of the story, and she does a little internal confessing, but not enough that one sees the tie into the title. Aside from being a bit melodramatic (mourning the loss of the love of her life when they only dated for six months), Veronica is a reliable narrator. Her attention to detail, and obsessive tendencies were a bit annoying to read about, but I’m sure those characteristics make her an excellent event planner.

Jake, the ex-boyfriend, doesn’t have a huge role in the story aside from setting up the situation. His presence makes Veronica miss the relationship she has romanticized. Frankly, I couldn’t figure out the attraction to Jake aside from his money and looks. He is rather an insensitive louse at the zenith of the story. Levi Laurent, Jake’s best friend and best man, does a lot of standing in with the wedding planner. This might make the situation less of a trial if Veronica had ever liked Levi. Alas she considers him to be an arrogant, self-absorbed “man-whore”, and she looks for every interaction to prove herself correct.

Secondary character, “Delicious” Diego, the fitness trainer, is an excellent addition. The addition of this character adds some laughs and interesting possibilities. His charm, wisdom, and thoughtfulness, make him a character I’d love to get to know better in a book of his own.

As the story evolves, Veronica gets to know the real Levi. It takes her quite a bit of time to realize that she has made many bad assumptions about Levi and Jake. Although one has to wonder what sort of a doormat would agree to plan the wedding of a man who dumped you three months prior, it was delightful to read Veronica’s path to enlightenment. Veronica can’t help but analyze her relatively short relationship with Jake when she sees how he behaves with his fiancé, Sandrine, as well as compare Jake’s behavior to that of Levi.

By the time the last angsty conflict comes into play, I was ready for the story to be done, but not because I wasn’t enjoying the book. There didn’t seem to be much value-added by the final conflict, the resolution felt anticlimactic, and I was ready for the HEA. That aside, it was an enjoyable, romantic read.

“I am far from perfect, but with you, I feel whole.”

Confessions of a Wedding Planner is a light, clean, romance. It is charming, and has enough little twists that it is not completely predictable. It is a perfect read for a hopeless romantic.

I gave this an 8/10 or 4 stars. This was a freebie e-book via Bookbub.

It's been some time since I read a book that made me smile when I picked it up, this book fit that bill nicely. I was completely engrossed in the story and the lives of all the characters.

I loved the relationships between them all, how certain secrets were revealed about them all at different times as you kept reading. I so wanted Nica and Levi to get together you could tell that it was certainly a case of opposites attracting.

The story could have done with some better proof reading in my opinion, but this didn't detract away from my enjoyment of the story at all.

This can be read as a standalone book, but I've just bought the second in the series ~ The Bachelor's Proposal.

This was my first time reading anything written by Michelle Jo Quinn ,and I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed this great story. Ms Quinn has given us a story that is beautiful, Humorous romance story ,that will grab us and hold us in it's pages from start to finish , and then will leave us wanting much more from this author. As you're reading you'll fall in love instantly with these characters. Veronica is contracted by her ex-boyfriend Jake ,who asks her to have lunch with him .Veronica was so excited that he wanted to meet with her, because she misses him so horribly , but just maybe he wants to reconcile with her. Jake looks so happy and only wants to ask if she would plan his and his girlfriends wedding for them. Yes He's going to marry the girl that broke him and Veronica up, BOOM she's thrown a punch to her gut and all at once makes the mistake of saying yes that she would do it for him. Veronica's best-friend Chase who's really outspoken just doesn't want her to be taken advantage of ,because she's still a little dazed and confused with everything. But then there's the hot and sexy Levi who's Jake's best man ,and he seems a little jealous when ever Veronica talks or when she is with another man . Ms Quinn has written a story that has a elegant setting ,and a plot that's quite interesting and will make you hold your breath for these two characters. I could tell you more about this great story ,but that would spoil it for you. I highly recommend that you read this great story you won't be disappointed.

Veronica (Nica – which I love that name) is contacted by her ex-boyfriend Jake to have lunch. Nica, who misses her ex terribly, is excited to meet with him and potentially reconcile. Jake, still perfectly happy, shows up to ask Nica to plan his and his girlfriend’s wedding. To the girl Jake broke up with Nica for! Nica is obviously thrown and mistakenly agrees to plan their wedding.

Enter Chase, Nica’s outspoken best friend, who is determined for Nica not to be taken advantage of just because she was dazed and confused. And then there’s Levi, Jake’s philandering best man who seems to get quite jealous when Nica is with any other man.

This book was part The Wedding Planner, but much more funny! Each of the characters is funny and special in their own way.

I hope this series continues because I’d like Chase to get a happy ending too!

This was romantic comedy done right! I was so surprised by how good the writing was and how truly wonderful this story was. I loved every second of reading it, which unfortunately doesn't happen that frequently.

The characters were perfect, and I actually really enjoyed the heroine, which honestly happens less and less often lately. Also the comedy in this book actually had me laughing out loud, shaking my head at their antics, and so happy and eager to keep reading. I had such a hard time putting this book down when I unfortunately had to deal with real life.

This was such a gem and I'm glad I stumbled across it. Can't wait to read more from this author.

This is the second novel I've read by Michelle Jo Quinn and I can honestly say that I've not been left disappointed! Veronica, Levi and all the characters in COAWP are so vividly written, that it's hard not to fall in love with them (especially Levi, because well one word *swoon*!) I was very pleasantly surprised that though this was above all else a romance novel, it is wonderfully funny too, with a kind of rom-com vibe that, for me personally lifts it above other novels similar in it's genre.

I can't wait to read the second instalment in the Bliss Series.

Refreshingly romantic and a great read, I'd highly recommend this!

The plot was so far-fetched, it kept pulling me out of the story. Also the author confused lust with love, which made it difficult to sympathize with the characters. The heroine detests the main crush's character qualities, and that issue is never resolved. She "sees another side of him" but never comes to terms with his loathsome morality, she just falls for his sexiness (like many before her). Luckily for her (or unluckily) he decides to stick with her instead of dumping her (like so many before her.) A penchant for being walked on and a drinking problem are generally the catalysts for the MC's woes. Found myself constantly screaming at the MC to walk away.

I was pleasantly surprised by this book, it was humorous but yet I found it also pulled at my heartstrings!

I think it too a lot of strength of character for Veronica to agree to plan her ex's wedding and the events that followed had me cringing and laughing throughout the book!

I was rooting for her to get together with Levi from the beginning and was pleased with how it ended!

Defiantly a good book for the die hard romantics out there!

'Confessions of a Wedding Planner' by Michelle Jo Quinn is quite simply wonderful! Veronica Soto-Stewart, Nica to her friends, is a wedding planner, not just any wedding planner she is an outstanding wedding planner. So good, in fact, that her ex-boyfriend Jake, asks her to plan his wedding. This sounds almost okay until you realise that Jake is marrying the woman he dumped Nica for, and that he and Nica only broke up 3 months previously. To top it off, the wedding will take place in a month; the guest list is huge, they haven’t chosen or booked a venue, the bride - who is French – needs to travel to Paris for her dress fitting, as you do, and the best man - Levi, is a man Nica despises. Not really the best ingredients when you are trying to create a most memorable day of matrimonial bliss.

Sandrine, Jake’s fiancé, turns out to be delightful – typical - and despite feeling as though her heart is being stomped on every time she meets the happy couple, Nica cannot dislike her. What is also clear is that Jake and Sandrine are meant to be together, so when Sandrine begs Nica to be her bridesmaid, it is another request she is unable to refuse. As the wedding draws closer and, even though she still has feelings for Jake, Nica starts to realise that they never shared the all-consuming love he has with Sandrine and has to re-evaluate her heart. It’s all quite a pickle really!

In the midst of all this, Levi starts to get under her skin. To outward appearances not to mention his past history, Levi is the epitome of a playboy, enjoying the thrill of the chase, flitting from woman to woman leaving behind a trail of broken hearts, but he seems bewitched by Nica. Unable to trust him or her own emotions, Nica is determined not let him get close, but once they are in France, Paris works its magic.

Even though you think Nica is cuckoo for accepting the job - who wants to plan their ex’s wedding for goodness sake? - you cannot help but empathise with her. The same goes for Levi, it seems he’s doing his damnedest to make her fall in love with him, but she is afraid to believe it’s real. As ever the course of true love never runs smoothly. Misunderstandings, family rows and her own hang-ups interfere and it seems as though Nica’s HEA is slipping out of reach. Does she find happiness? Will Jake and Sandrine really get married? And what of Levi? No, I’m not going to tell you, go - read the book it’s delicious!

I loved this book. Michelle Jo Quinn has written a sweet romance, yet allowed desire to circle relentlessly on the periphery, giving it just a hint of heat. Throwing humour and a lot of fun into the mix, she also prevents the story from becoming melancholy. The characters are beautifully drawn, including the ‘supporting’ cast and the main issues - well for me at least - of heartbreak, denial, grief, hope, trust and love, flow in and out of the story with the skill of a master story teller, enough to keep you riveted without overdoing it. Now I can't wait to read the next book!

I was lucky enough to be gifted a copy of Confessions of A Wedding Planner and this review is my honest opinion. Five stars!

This was a nice looking book and i enjoyed holding it. That was about where my enjoyment of this book ended.

I think what i hate the most about stereotypical romance books from the 1980s is jealous women jumping to conclusions. That is pretty much all the main character Veronica did in this book. By page 193, i couldn't take Veronica's stupidity any more. It was so stupid it was starting to make me angry that the author could even write something so stupid. I mean, this man has sent her flowers and a meaningful text that she couldn't even be bothered to respond to. He has taken her on tours in Paris, and was there for her when she called him. She gave him NO reason to pursue her (unless you count her hot and cold physical response) yet he did so anyway and still she won't even meet him half way. On page 192 she is still standing there waiting for him to kiss her after she has accused him of some pretty awful untrue stuff that she ASSUMED was true. I just couldn't take it any more. I just knew the author was going to continue this stupidity for another 50 pages and give us a ridiculous HEA in the last chapter. I wasn't willing to subject myself to that nonsense on the off chance that Veronica might somehow grow up in the last 5o pages.

So i sped read through the rest of the book just so i could say i finished. I didn't even care when the characters finally got together. The author gave us absolutely NO REASON for Levi to love her other than that she could dance when she was drunk. Are real men really so shallow? And more importantly, are women really so stupid as to get so blindly stupid drunk that they don't even remember the night before? And more than once! That is a serious medical issue! Not to mention the fact that it destroys the idea of female empowerment. I am not a feminist advocate. Yet i see a problem here. I hate to think of young girls reading this book.

This book has made me kind of angry because i have so many great books to read and i spent time on this one, desperately hoping that the main characters would grow. Levi did. Veronica continued to act like a jealous child throughout.

Other random thought: How could a person as stupid as Veronica be running a successful business?

I am disappointed to realize this was written in 2016 rather than 1980.

I have the next book but i'm not sure if I will read it. It is just as nice looking as the first book so maybe i might speed read in hopes of finding a scene that isn't cringe worthy.

Next morning update: Nope, I'm not even gonna speed read the next book. I need to read a different book right now to get the taste of this one out of my mouth. Otherwise i might never pick up a romance novel again.

To end on a more positive note; i did sometimes enjoy Veronica's relationship with her best friend Chase. That is why i continued to read, hoping that there was room for Veronica to grow with her friend's support. That's all i've got.

My Rating: ❤❤❤❤ (4 Sweet Stars)
Confessions of a Wedding Planner is a sweet love story that will makes you swoon for a certain Frenchman and rooting for him to have his girl. It's a quick read but at the same time it is adorable and very engaging.

First of all, I must say that I LOVE THE COVER! So heavenly pretty really. That cover perfectly showcase how sweet Veronica is and I fall in love with it on the first sight. Although people say don't judge a book by it's cover, it is usually the cover first that piqued my interest and I am definitely interested in this book.

Levi Laurent or Olivier Laurent is a mesmerizing and dreamy Frenchman and I just can't help but liking his character. He can be romantic and so sweet to Veronica and I was totally in full mode swooning over him. I especially love the way she called Veronica "My sweet, sweet Veronica". Sigh. So romantic. He really is the Levi to my Veronica! He oozes mysterious aura and I am excited to know more about his immediate family, his background and what makes him tick.

I am also loving Veronica as the heroine of this book because I can feel along with her when her feelings changed gradually from feeling jealous with Jake and Sandrine to falling in love with the charming Levi. I love her profession as a wedding planner and her believe in marriage and as person who is getting married soon I particularly like this kind of theme.

Although I love how the romance is set up between Levi and Veronica, it is not until the very end that I have the satisfaction of 'seeing' them become an item and that moment is pretty short so I hope they will be more to their happy couple times in the next book for me to indulge into.

Overall I think this book delivers a good love story that romance lovers would absolutely love to read and be engrossed into. I would recommend this to contemporary romance reader who love good-looking Frenchman, Paris and wedding. And by the way, I noticed that the next book's title is The Bachelor's Perfect Proposal so does that means Levi will propose to Veronica and they will get married? I am already so intrigued with the next book!

I read this story on Wattpad after I started playing it in Chapters: Interactive Stories.

To be honest, it kept my interest throughout all the story and I read it in no time, (like 4 hours or so) but I am still questioning my sanity about it. From the beggining I was baffled by the premise of the story. Why would Veronica accepted to plan her ex-boyfriend's wedding? I couldn't get over it, because she had employees who could have taken care of the wedding and she just supervise... but noo!!! She makes everything perfect for them.
From there, everything felt surreal, over the top and sometimes stupid. It is a book full of what we call nowadays Toxic relationships.

Twice the main character Veronica (Nica as called by friends and I must say it made me twich my eyes every time) gets drunk to the point of oblivion with her ex-boyfriend, the fiancée of her exboyfriend, the cousins of her ex-boyfriend and the best man... that seemed quite exaggerated to me and bordering the unethical. Maybe because that is something I wouldn't do and that was part of the game.

The last part of the book, from when they come back from Paris to the actual wedding, it all seemed rushed and the way in which Levi and Nica end up together gave not enough explanation to the reader of how could they overcome all their insecurities and secrets to be accepted by the other.

Still I read it through and through.

It was a good exercise to compare the way in which the story goes according to the writer and the way it is adapted for these kind of games in which you have certain power over the decisions of the Main Character.

Planning Bliss, the first of the Bliss series by Michelle Jo Quinn, is a sweet and fresh love story based on unusual coincidences in the life of the characters. Veronica Soto-Stewart, a beautiful girl, focused on running her event planning business, whose kindness would not allow her to refuse to plan her ex-boyfriend's wedding. And Levi Laurent, who has made himself look like a sexy and irresistible Playboy, sees in Veronica the woman he has always wanted, even if she can't stand him, and has the hard task of proving to her that he is everything she longs.

I can say that I really enjoyed the plot of the story and how the author built the characters, which is a fun romance to read because of the way it unfolds. I found it like a different kind of love story with protagonists who first need to understand themselves and put aside their fears before opening up to give and receive the love they deserve.

On the other hand, there are also confusing aspects. In the first place, because Veronica is showed as such a weak-willed protagonist, although she is a dreamer, it seems that her strong complement is her partner. Followed by Jack's little plot, which doesn't help to understand his attitudes other than as whims, and, lastly, I think Levi, as a protagonist, lacked more character development.

I consider that this story is appropriate for unsupervised teenagers and young adults, as being a fresh romance with certain comic and juvenile overtones, this book may seem very appealing to them. It is a very well-edited book. The explicit content and any mention of alcohol consumption correspond to less than 5% of the book.

* I read this book as 'Planning Bliss' on my kobo.

This was a cute and harmless read. Even if Veronica was a bit of a doormat. She may have had her professional life together but not her personal life. Hard to imagine someone being ok with organising their ex's wedding and being a bridesmaid in it. Sure it could be a mature decision in some cases but that's not what this was. Veronica said yes because she wasn't capable of saying no. And I've said this for a few too many book reviews lately - but I'm so sick of characters getting drunk in inappropriate (not sure there's an appropriate time either) situations and waking up without knowing what happened. Oh I've just remembered Veronica was also a bit immature and dramatic. When she referred to .

Having said that for the most part I enjoyed all the different characters and the story line. I'm glad it didn't end with .

Levi was an interesting character. I just wish we got his point of view in the book.

4.5/5 stars. I want to preface this with the fact that I most of the time do not review based on quality of work.

This book was almost too quick of a read. It lacked a lot of detail which would have connected a reader better to the characters. I already felt a connection to the story because I discovered it from the Chapters interactive app. Surprisingly the game on the app had more detail than the actual book.

I was not happy with Veronica’s attitude towards Levi most of the book, but there’s gotta be tension somehow to keep up the interest I guess. I honestly didn’t hate her character in general, but I think the only reason she annoyed me a little is because her name is Veronica. Sorry to all the Veronica’s out there, but no thanks. Hot French man Levi (Laurent) needs a gf with a better name. Also, most of the characters used the nickname ‘Nica’ which is gross.

Levi is the perfect love interest for a simple, yet cute love story. He is the typical rich playboy turned closeted sweetheart, and I loved reading about him.

This story is like Hallmark in a book, so if you are looking for a quick, cute, and not at all complicated read, read Planning Bliss.
