I really liked this even if some of the aothor's conclusions were based on the small sample size of German civilians, soldiers and bureaucrats with him he directly spoke. I absolutely love reading books written during a war when people didn't necessarily have all relevant information because it really provides more insight into what it must have been like to live through it than books written after the fact with the benefit of hindsight.
This one was especially interesting because the newspaper articles which were the bulk of the book were published by spring of 1941 but the book wasn't published until after June of that year so the author had to add a post script about the German invasion of Russia (he never once referred to it as the Soviet Union which I found odd).
I am really happy that I found a first printing of this in a used book store in New Mexico in 2015 and only paid about US$10 for it also.
