What do a creepy moth, naked werewolf, Harley-riding monster killer, ancient vampire, and crazy old lady hiding in the woods have in common? It seems they’re all trying to thwart Marlee Burns’ goal to be normal. Of course her uncontrollable telekinesis and the mercenaries trying to kidnap her don’t help much either. Now she must embark on a journey to discover the origins of her power and get rid of it, before whoever is trying to catch her and dissect her like a lab rat succeeds.
PM Drummond lives in a forest with her husband and a fearless, five-pound Chihuahua named Smidgen.
She loves writing about characters who are pieced together from traits observed in her nomadic years as a people watcher. By the time the writer was eighteen, she’d moved 52 times and become a personality voyeur of sorts, collecting nuances of the lives and peculiarities of the people around her. She listened to tales, observed the finer points of human behavior, appreciated those she liked and found herself fascinated by those she didn’t. As the scenery changed, her passion for writing and reading remained her only constant. Home was found between the pages of books or with pen and paper concocting her own stories.
Years later after completing a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Creative Writing, she committed herself to sharing those stories with others. Her crazy life gave her a quirky sense of humor that she has a hard time repressing. Due to social norms (and strict avoidance of incarceration), she can’t say half the snarky and absurd stuff that flits through her mind on a daily basis. So she puts it in her writing.
Her greatest wish is that you’ll enjoy experiencing her stories. Sit back and escape for a while. The normal world will be right here where you left it when you get back.
Perdition (Virago #1) by P.M. Drummond is a kindle scout book and one I really enjoyed! It is full of clever, witty, and fun situations and lots of action, intrigue and suspense. A little of everything in this book. Great book!
Marlee is a character that fought through abuse and loneliness. She is trying to come terms with her supernatural nature. The world of vamps and wolves is all new. Good, fast read.
It was tough to assign stars to this one. I ended up bumping it up to 4 because I really want to read the next installment and that should count for something.
Initially, I thought this story had a little too much in common with Twilight, a girl who finds herself falling for a vampire and ends up having some were-friends. But the author definitely put her own spin on it and I found myself invested in the characters.
The pace of the story was intense. I wish it was a bit slower - a strange request for an action story - I just felt the plot could have been a little thicker, with time to flesh out more details. The storyline also throws A LOT at the main character, if the timeline had been stretched a bit longer (meaning more days between incidents), it would make the story more believable.
The groundwork for the next book has already been established, and I hope we don't have too long to wait.

This was a fun book to read, especially if you enjoy stories with vampires and werewolves. It has an interesting twist to what gives vampires their power. It's action-packed from start to finish and has plenty of sexy paranormals to drool over as well. As it's the first book in a series, there are some things left to discover in subsequent books, although the plot of this story is complete.

Definitely a page-turner. I have rarely found a book I can't put down but THIS one was one of those! Now I've finished it and I NEEEEED the next one!!!
This was a quick read with a fun premise. It tried a little too hard for some of its humor, and the heroine acted more like a teenager than her twenty-six years. I also never really had a good idea of what the hero looked like and got conflicting impressions of him. But it has some intriguing secondary characters. The story needs one more round of proofing to fix the last of the nuisance issues. I look forward to seeing more from this author in the future as she polishes her craft. This book brought in a lot of paranormal, more than I had thought, making for an epic adventure. Sometimes felt a little much like other books, but very unique all the same!
