This book made me feel like I wasn't alone. While God has led me to some of the same decisions Karen came to, I feel like I am going to be light years ahead of the game when I impliment all the other ones she has listed. I appreciate her honesty and believe God led me to her book to continue a good work in me. God bless Karen for her openness and caring spirit.
This book is a God send and I'm so thankful for it. Sharing of raw truth was so valuable, because I had this perception that if I was a real Christian I wouldn't have any marital problems. But mostly what God taught Karen, wow much needed truths
I read this little book last night in about an hour. I was familiar with Karen and Jimmy's story from listening to his sermons and from their conferences. It was refreshing to read the story from Karen's point of view. I was surprised to hear how Karen dealt with bouts of rage that she had in response to Jimmy's verbal and emotional abuse - she seems so meek and mild! I would have liked to have read more about the Bible Study women who helped deliver her from evil influences. It was a good little read, and I appreciate Karen's honesty and not letting herself off the hook for her part in their hard marriage. It's always good to hear of a marriage being saved, even after some terrible times.
