WTF! I only kept reading this book cause I thought it couldn't be this bad... It was! And it couldn't get worse... It did!

So we all know authors want a bit of bang in their story right? But you don't drop in a 'oh, you got roofied by the bartender, and we got married and hooked up', and then just drop it! Seriously. The bartender apparently spikes her drink, which the H has a taste of too, and after they get out of control - we think, because they never discuss that bit - and get married, they head back to her room to hook up - where her roofied memories start to click back in some - and then at some point in the shagging honeymoon night the H puts the pieces together to realise she was roofied and out of it for at least most of the night... and LEAVES HER ALONE IN THE HOTEL ROOM WITH A NOTE TO SAY, "BTW, call me ASAP, we need to talk cause I think you were roofied," and not mentioning that THEY GOT MARRIED... he just leaves the marriage certificate there for her to see... I guess this is IF she wakes up after all, cause you know, she was ROOFIED, and you left her alone not knowing with what or how or if there was going to be any side effects!

So, still on the authors Big Bang Roofie... She was roofied, and if he hadn't been there would likely have been raped or worse right? So what does the author do with her Big Bang Roofie plot piece? NOTHING!!!!! That's right. Nothing. They never discuss it. They never report it. They never consider even giving a heads up to management about the fact that their bartender is a predator. Because who cares if the next hottie or ten he sees get raped right!?!

But, this is a trend with this author. These two characters never really talk about anything. The only connection they have is sex. The h has no real self respect. I can see how she can throw caution to the wind and enjoy the sex to start, but then there's evidence of a girlfriend (present tense) which the H won't answer questions about, and she's still ready to jump him... Then it gets worse when he lets the raving bitch in the house to rage at the h while he says nothing and comforts this faking girlfriend bitch... when he finally gets rid of her, he says she's an ex... BUT HE LET HER IN AND LET HER VERBALLY ATTACK THE h (without warning or defence) SO HE DIDN'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH HER DRAMA IN PUBLIC!!! And now he want to fuck her, and she's all like... I can't strip fast enough to get on your disco stick!

If authors want Big Bang drama... they have to WRITE IT IN... They can't just add a sentence that looks special and then forget it. It would have been completely fine to have had these two do their dare you to drink my drink and mix a bit too much alcohol and go wild and marry. There was no need to add in the Roofie if she was in too much of a rush or too lazy to actually WRITE IN THE ROOFIE!

And then there was a pile of other shit too. You married a stranger last night... but you're just going to fly out without talking to them? You need to keep things on the down low, so you: invite them to your tiny gossip ridden town <-- h / H --> talk openly about the marriage you want secret where anyone can hear? You need to keep stories straight, but you never talk to each other or give heads up? A stranger you married and met once shows you nude & intimate photos of you on his phone after your meeting to discuss your annulment... but you're not insisting that they are deleted? You've got a (useless for the story) stalker ex who has made copies of your house keys and shows up uninvited... for years... but he's too nice to yell at... AND YOU'RE TOO MUCH OF A DUMB BITCH TO CHANGE YOUR DAMN LOCKS IF TOU CANT BE BOTHERED GETTING ALL YOUR KEYS!?!?!?!?!?

I didn't love this story. Trent was not my type of cowboy, the ones that make me swoon and get all sappy in love.

Their relationship was all about sex I didn't really feel the love growing between them, it was a little rushed. His ex was despicable and the first meeting they had she was really mean and he didn't even defend her.

At the end it was ok and I ended up enjoying it a little, I almost didn't finish it but I try to finish all my stories

This novella was adorable in a lot of ways. The surprise Vegas wedding trope is fun, and the couple handled most of the expected plot points in interesting ways, without many of the "misunderstandings" that usually accompany this kind of storyline. The individual characters seemed like good people, and I'm glad they got their happy ending.

I was confused by how the roofie and stalker mentions were handled. I felt they were not needed in the story, or if the were, then there needed to be more to them so they didn't feel so sudden and jarring. I definitely have questions. Also, I feel like the transgender reference is out of date (the back and forth pronoun confusion) and may be offensive to some readers.

Idk where to start with this one.
This was a free book from Apple's IBook collections and I downloaded it because I'm a sucker for the Night after trope- The morning after in Las Vegas finds Amy married to a hot cowboy that just happens to be the most eligible bachelor so what's a girl to do right?

It could have been fun but I found myself not really liking this one - and I wanted to- but I don't know, it felt badly thought up. Scenes just didn't work and the oddness of how these two ended up having their one night stand that lead to a hasty wedding through a ROOFIED drink is not the way I would have ever imagined a romance book to include.

One night stand becomes HEA!

Amy Leigh is your average girl that the reader can instantly connect with in this book. Independent, full of sarcasm, love of food and she is attracted to Trent for the sweet hottie that he is with or without his money. I love when they are at the BBQ restaurant to discuss the upcoming meeting with Trent's family. Amy Leigh's dialogue with herself had me laughing so hard. Hildie McQueen writes characters and stories that have you falling in love with falling in love and HEA. Excited about the other books in this series.

Good premise got a story here but didn't work for me.
The heroine is roofied and it isn t dealt with.

The ex or non ex is a huge story line problem.
Chatting to his friend.
"Besides, Miranda is not my girlfriend. We broke up months ago, but for some reason she keeps showing up everywhere as if she's forgotten."
"Probably because you keep sleeping with her,"

Then at his house he says to the heroine
"Trent came into the room with two glasses of Coke and eyed the pillow. "My girlfriend helped me decorate. Her tastes seem to run more toward the eclectic."

He allows the ex or non ex to insult the heroine at his house.

Later ""The thing is if we're annulling the marriage shouldn't we avoid sex?"
"Amy Leigh, this has nothing to do with our marriage. It's just us. I want to be with you and you want to be with me."
"That makes sense, I suppose."
Eh no....

Bellini Blush!

A missed flight leads to an adventurous night in Vegas for Aimee. After his friends drag him to Vegas to witness their elopement, Trent decides he is going to have some fun, after sending his friends to their hotel room.
A few drinks later, probably drugged, a visit to a wedding chapel & lots of Hot Sex, & Aimee wakes up alone with a wedding certificate. Aimee & Trent try to make the best of the situation. Why? Because the night included photos of the wedding, the happy couple & sharing photos with Trent's mother.
I had read a couple of books by Hildie McQueen, & decided to try this book. Quite different than the other books. I enjoyed the story for the most part, although the characters weren't quite as developed as I was expecting.

A drunk wedding

Amy Leigh went to Vegas with friends to have fun. They ditched her and she wakes up in bed after a drunken night of hot passion with a sexy guy named Trent. Little did either know until returning back home to Montana that they were married to each other. To keep up appearances until they can get a annulment they agree to stay married for Trent's mom's birthday bash. Little did they know the more time they spend together the more than fall in love. Trent is from money and Amy Leigh isn't. Can they make it work or will money read them apart? Not to mention a crude father in law and a ex girlfriend who is a nasty piece of work.

Creatively and sexual

Very sexy story involving a party planner and a wealthy ranch supply millionaire. I would like to read more about Jane the mother of the bride , and Trina and Walter the sister of the goom (Trent) and her husband. Did Walter come up against as many obstacles from his in- laws ? Why did Jane not remarry?

This story is the perfect rom com. Amy is having a girls weekend and when everything goes wrong she decides to make the most of it. Trent has no real plans and strikes up a conversation. Because of the actions of another things get crazy from there. This story has lots of humor and a great HEA. #CMCon24

Really cute book, I loved the h and her quirky personality. I just wish that the story was longer and we got to see them fall in love and develop a relationship. It was a little far fetched that they would love each other so quickly but overall good read.

Ugh. There are so many reason this book was terrible. I could go on for a while, but I don't think it's worth my energy. So I'll just say this. It's not worth you time. Trust me.

I wanted to love this book, but it just was a little too predictable for me. But I did enjoy it. If I could, I might give it only 3.5 stars, but rounded to 4 just because it wasn't a terrible story. It just fell flat for me.

Loved the two main characters. Disappointed by so much of their connection based on sensual feelings. Seems to cheapen their story. Much more sexual description than needed, lacking in description as to how this would work out so the story would seem complete.

Laugh out loud funny

Enjoyed the characters, plot and all the secondary characters. Her mom was a hoot, and wanted to slap the ex girlfriend. There were so many funny lines, one couldn't help but laugh. Quick read with some serious chemistry between them and a great ending.
