Vanilla Spice is the first book in the Lots of Spice Series.
This book contains adult material not suitable for person under the age of 18.
There is much humour, frivolity and romance but like any Vanilla ice-cream, that can become just a little boring and so, a liberal sprinkling of sex and mild BDSM spices it up wonderfully.
I liked this book! It was a very British book centred around the rugby club in a small town and all it's goings on.
I think the author did a great job of narrating most of the book from the male's perspective. I also liked how a lot of real life issues were constantly mentioned in the book and not all fantasy and fairy tales.
It was a very tame introduction to the BDSM world, but that is hinted at with the title of the book.
At times, I was overwhelmed by the amount of characters that had their say or were even spoken of in the book. I am sure we will meet these characters again in the series but there were too many incidentals, and at times it detracted from the main characters of this book.
However, I am looking forward to reading more of this series and I'm sure it will get deeper, darker and smuttier as we read.
