Nightmares inspire me. Crazy? Perhaps, or maybe I just have such a love for horror that the virtual reality world you go into deep within your unconscious mind is so realistic that it's better than any film you can watch or book you can read. This is what made me want to write my first book, Nightly Visits, and the reason I am still writing today, and will be writing for as long as I am able to hold a pen or tap the keys. I have always loved things and people who are over the top. What better way to go over the top than with a vivid imagination. There are no limitations. At a very young age, I was introduced to horror by a weekly television show called Shock Theater, which aired classic and B-flick movies such as Brides of Blood and a 1972 horror film about a killer rattlesnake titled Stanley. Rock 'n' roll had a major influence in my life. At the age of seven, I got my first album, "Kiss - Alive!" I stole it from my big brother. Being a horror fan and a music fan, what could be better than this group of scary rock 'n' roll clowns? By the age of ten, I was beating the strings off of my own guitar, and writing cheesy little stories based on horror films such as Jaws and Halloween, two of my favorite movies. The stories were fun, but they were just something to do at the time. But in the cold winter months of 2001, all that changed. I jolted straight up in sweaty sheets from the most vivid nightmare I’d ever had. If I'd gone back to sleep, the dream would have faded from my memory forever. I couldn't allow that to happen, not THIS DREAM! I got up right then and began typing the dream out in detail while it was still fresh in my mind. This nightmare ended up being the novella, Glasswalker, in the first book Nightly Visits. After that story was finished, it was game on! Writing took over! I couldn't let my love for music completely disappear! Music is constantly popping up within the pages of the Nightly Visits series. Don’t be surprised if while you are reading my work you find yourself singing songs you may not have heard in years and wonder why it suddenly found its way into your head. Yes, there are hundreds of songs hidden within the covers of my books. My love for horror covers many sub-genres, whether they be supernatural, slasher films, and monster movies or zombies, vampires, werewolves, or giant beasts such as King Kong and Godzilla. “If it’s good, it’s good!” Of all the great writers out there, I am influenced by the writings of Stephen King more than any other. “You can learn about an author by his/her writing. It’s King’s sense of humor and just the way he looks at different situations that pull me to him. I feel like I know him when I read his material, and In D'tail Magazine compared my writing to that of Stephen King. What a compliment!

Come, take the journey of horror, suspense, and fantasy that brings you witches and ghosts, and reflects on the much scarier side of the human mind. We all have that monster inside us that lies dormant. Some may not realize it, and others may deny it, but it's there waiting for us to let down
Just read Spots, one of the short stories from 12 to 6 (More Nightly Visits) and it very much reminded me of some of the better short stories from Stephen King's Nightmares & Dreamscapes (I love that book!)
Spots is well written and the author manages to tell us all we need to know about Jacob's 'issues' so well, in just a few short pages. It's a little weird and satisfyingly twisted enough to really creep you out by the end.
