Mon avis en Français

My English review

This is a novel that promised to be nice! It must be said that it is difficult to resist Highlander, ghosts and a medium mixed with all this, right?

Quinn Thatcher and her sisters have some extraordinary gifts and seeing ghosts is her job. But now, this lucrative work also brings its share of problems when the ghosts decide that she has to help them, whether she agrees or not. The last one is also determined and he wants Quinn to bring back a family jewel to his home in Scotland. Although she resists initially, she finds herself making the trip where she will have to face real highlanders. Which one is a very sexy man. Yet she will also find herself in a curse story of which she is the main character.

I had a good time with this novel. It is quite short but it was very nice to discover Quinn and Collin. They are attracted to each other but do not really know how to handle it. When it seems that someone has it after Quinn, they will have to try to understand what is happening.

As I said, it’s a light and nice novel. We can read it quite quickly and the setting is very nice I must say too! The other novels in the series are about Quinn’s sisters and I’m curious to discover their stories too!

The cover on Amazon is completely different so I had no idea going into this that it was a cozy mystery type. I don’t dislike cozy mysteries but I have to be in the mood for them and It just wasn’t what I expected.

The h was absolutely awful and the curse and mystery had me a little intrigued but not enough to really enjoy this one. I thought I was going to be getting more psychic stuff within the mystery too but it really only served the purpose of getting her to Scotland and getting some background info, which honestly was info dumpy anyways.

I’m sort of interested in the sisters books but, book two has a disclaimer that the sex has been toned down for better reading enjoyment. 🙃 huh? It was already FTB in this one so I wonder what was so “spicy” about book two that things needed to be toned down.

3.5 stars for this quick paced almost murder-mystery, with a mix of ghosts and visions. The h is feisty American, the H is Scottish, so unfortunately we had a fair amount of brogue. There are my two pet hates, a feisty h and brogue. But the story was quite good, and I enjoyed it more than I thought.

Quick and fun read

This story was quick but still had some twists and just the right amount of spice for the overall story. I love a quick HEA! Especially if it involves kilts

Quinn and her sisters own Linked, Inc., a company that deals with psychics. Quinn can see ghosts and she helps them Rest In peace, I guess. Well she has a Scottish ghost and he wants her to return an emerald to its rightful owners. She flies to Scotland and returns it but then her pilot gets the measles, so she’s stuck for the foreseeable future. Collin lives in his ancestral castle and is repairing some of it after a fire. The emerald is cursed and Collin has a painting with a woman identically to Quinn. She’s not there twenty four hours and the curse has kicked in. Someone has tried to kill her twice but Collin plans on there not being a third. With a mystery to solve, Quinn gets down to work but will she be able to keep her heart?

First time reading this author and I’ll be honest at first I was like “ meh “ but the more I read, the better I liked it. Quinn is gorgeous and hilarious. Collin is a Scot, do I need to say more? 😂. Mystery, romance, ghosts, and humor. The only thing is they describe Quinn with red hair and the girl on the cover is blonde, that drives me crazy 😂😂.

The cursed emerald is returned home - will the curse now step forward.

A great fast paced read. Five sisters all with different psychic gifts. Quinn sees ghosts and to get rid of the Scottish ghost that is making her life miserable she agrees to go to Scotland and return a stolen emerald. The only problem is, the emerald is cursed and her visit to return it has already been foretold. Add in arson, attempted murder and two Scottish hunks with one feisty, short temper female to get a terrific read. The characters are real if slightly over the top and the plot moves along at a quick pace. Watch out for the twist at the end.

I have been provided with a copy of Deadly Intent by the author for an impartial review. This is the first book in the Linked Inc. series and the first book that I’ve read by this author and what a way to start off. I absolutely loved this book and author. It was hilarious and it totally shocked me by the end I thought I knew what was going on boy was I wrong. It was such an easy and short read that just had me wanting more. I can’t wait to read the next one in the series.

WOW! Just WOW!!

This is a great read!! I loved every minute of it!! Unfortunately I understand some reviews required a sex explicit read, but regardless this was a great read!! Definitely can’t wait to read the next!! Quinn and her snarky attitude made me laugh and gave me a definite connection, you won’t be disappointed with this book if you like mystery and love and a little attitude!!

Great first book in the series

I really enjoyed the first book in The Linked Inc. series. It combines all three of my favorite genres, romance, paranormal and mystery. The mystery was very good and kept you guessing about who the bad guys were. The romance gave you that shot in the heart you want with all the feels and the paranormal aspects just added to the story. I plan to continue with the series.

The EMERALD

Quinn can't get away from Clarence the Scottish ghost so she finally agrees to go to Scotland and return the big emerald. She manages to get the attention of the two Scottish lairds battling with swords. She tosses the emerald to the one in green and turns to leave, she feels like she can leave now. Held my interest until I finished it. I loved the characters and the story.

Life Threatening Treachery

A feisty, smart-mouthed, redheaded medium.
A hunky, kilt wearing, Scottish Laird.
A quirky cast of characters...some alive, some not.
A once lost, cursed emerald, recovered from a cemetery.
A prophesy of sickness, death, fire, and betrayal.
A gripping novel of danger, intrigue and two souls finding their match.
I read all night to get to the exciting finale. Get a copy and enjoy

Excellent

Quinn is spicy, saucy, and able to take care of herself. She returns a special relic back to Scotland and finds herself in the middle of a family curse. As she becomes a target, she saves and is saved by the clan's Laird.
An excellent read with smart, salty characters.

Deadly Intent

A determined Scot + a woman who's not = a story rather hot. Psychic Medium Quinn plans a quick trip to Scotland to return a missing gem to the Menzie family but experiences a delay that allows her to delve into an old prophesy. PG rated language, mystery, and humor combine to make for a sweet story most cozy readers will enjoy.

Very good read

I'm not big on romance, I much prefer urban fantasy, paranormal, however; this book really hooked me into it. I could not put it down until I finished it. Out has action, suspense, out makes you guess and wonder but then surprises you. I would recommend this series to any book lover..

Pretty good book and I liked Quinn, although at the beginning I felt there was some tweaks to her personality and description. Starting off the book saying her butt was bony then when she gets to Scotland all of a sudden she's all curvy. Also, her personality was corny, I guess you could say. In the opening it just seemed like she was doing too much with setting up her character.

Never read

This author before but I got sure will again. I enjoyed the story but I would more interaction with the ghosts. Very little. That and the plot are what drew me to this book in the first place. I think it could have moved along a bit faster, took a while before anything really happened.

Great Book

This was a great Book, just wish it had less Porn. Maybe a little more of a realistic leading Man. Very few men I have know have Rock hard Muscles and Six pack abs. Other than those two things the book was a great read. Can't wait to read the next one in the series.

This book was short, fun, and super sweet. Both the mystery and the characters were interesting. I think at one point close to the end of this short book the author included the word cheesy to describe something that was happening and it's accurate. There are some cheesy moments, but it's also, as I said, super sweet, super cozy, and quite a bit swoony at times.

Good story. A little over the top sexually for me.

Ms Allenton is a good writer. I've lived her other books. Unfortunately, in not a great fan of content. I'm fine with innuendo, but the explicit nature of this book, left be disappointed. Writing is a 5, but sexual content lowered the score for me.

Deadly Intent

It is a quick and easy read. There is a slight mystery, but nothing that can't be figured out. If you want a light, fluffy read to help ease you from a book hangover, I would recommend this. If you want a book with substance, this is not your book.

This book was thoroughly enjoyable. A take no prisoners psychic flies to Scotland to return a missing emerald which had caused a feud. Her time there is filled with intrigue and love. I look forward to reading more about Quinn's sisters.

I liked the book

I liked the book and even though I figured out early who was the bad guy but I thought somebody else was the accomplice. I thought the ghosts would have a bigger part in the story. I'm glad it ended the way it did.

I loved the story and characters. Quinn and Collin were perfect together, and Quinn's personality made her my mind of person. The bad guy was easy to figure out, but we'll written. I recommend this book to romance lovers and those who.enjoy a little mystery.

I really like this author’s writing style and have yet to start Book one without being drawn into the rest of “the family.” I love how all the siblings get a starring role in their own book. Well. I’m off to read Book two.
