Fear the Anabaptists!
Initiated in 1517 by mad monk Luther, the Reformation swept a broom through the religious and political corridors of Europe. Facts, figures, complicated matters of great import, all presented in a succinct, illuminating manner. A triumph of brevity.

Interesting and concise treatment of the development of the Reformation. With focus on the relevant issues: its influence on individualism, democracy, and the Puritan ethics. Nice read, but not really a work of reference.
