I won a copy of this book during a Goodreads giveaway. I am under no obligation to leave a review or rating and do so voluntarily. I am paying it forward by passing this book along to a business organization that offers business skills, hope, and dreams to be used in their ministry.

I won this book through GoodReads First Read program.

Gellert uses his own life to show how God can work in the lives of those whose lives are activated to be used by Him. This book is Gellert's testimony. I was amazed at how close his dream of reassurance from God was to what I experienced years ago. It was nice to be reminded of God working in my life. I too often look to my present day circumstances and struggle to see God at work.

Years ago I had a very vivid dream. I had never had a dream like it before and I haven't had one like it since. I dreamt that Jesus was holding me like a little baby in His arms. I am convinced it was God getting me ready for what was to happen to me in the near future. God was showing me that He would take care of me and that He loved me. At the time I thought it was God encouraging me to start a men's Bible study group-which was a big step for me. I set up the group which 16 years later still meets every Monday night. However, looking back I saw that it was something even bigger.

About six months after I started my men's Bible study group, I was in a horrible car accident in which I lost my right leg above the knee and had a slight brain injury. I was in the hospital for 3 months. God worked through the guys in my Bible study to care for me. God was right by my side through all I went through with the healing and the rehabilitation. God then used what most would see as a horrible thing and brought good through it. He used the bad to help bring others to Him.

My life had been "activated" for God before my accident. I have seen many of the things Adam points out in his book. It was a good reminder to me of God's love in my life. Too often I don't see Him at work till I look back on things. His ways of bringing things are often not the way I had planned or prayed for. Yet when I look back I see that His ways were always better then my hopes and dreams.

I pray that all who read Adam's book can be activated for God's glory.

I did win a signed copy of this book from the author through this Goodreads and would like to start with openly thanking anyone apart of that (website, author, publication, etceteria).
In honesty this wasn't quite what I expected - though I'm not sure what I was expecting. The writing style felt a lot more like I was reading a blog than anything else, and I know I wasn't expecting the first part (60 pages) to all be about them trying to start a family and have children.
I am not completely done the book in the way that I have not completed the devotionals that it ends with, but am enjoying having something to work through. I was already done half the he book before I discovered them, though I'm not sure I just missed them being mentioned in the beginning.
It will be cycled through me and my friends to be read, simply because I share all my books. I do hope it'll have a greater impact on them than it did for me, or if I ever do read it again in the future.

I did get this book free of charge from good reads.
Awesome inspiring read! Struggles of infertility, pregnancy, miracles! Inspired to step boldly into what God is telling me, of Listening and seeking. Would be great bible study, has application questions and scripture reading in the back. Trust God in all circumstances and rely on faith !

Easy read with lots of encouraging stories

Adam Gellert writes in a very open, honest and down to earth manner. He gives many stories from his walk with God. The ordeal he and his wife went through was heart rending but inspirational in showing how God was with them through all the dark days.

I received this book from a goodreads giveaway.

First off, Thank you to the author for taking the time to send me a personalized copy of your book.
Secondly, Adam brings up so many issues that we all face on a daily basis. His method of Activating his faith, not being ashamed to share, being able to wear the loud t-shirt or bumper sticker is a lesson we should all hold dear.

Often times when people are in a bad situation they say that there's nothing that they can do to correct the problem. When in actuality, it takes only one Activation, to get the ball rolling.

Great testimony of God changing lives

Adam's personal account of God transforming his faith common to many of us into a faith more alive and actionable was inspiring. More than just an account, this book provides many ways to experience the same transforming power of God. The book is very understandable and easy to read with great exercises in the back of the book to help personalize your own activation. I enjoyed God's story in you, Adam.
