Much more straight forward plot and it seems interesting enough. I prefer this issue to the first. More science and tech, and less time with skippy battles.
I think some things contradict however. Sometimes I feel like they state things as much dire and serious then the comic plot actual delves into. Aka time and the tech. Such as I still think the time that occurred in Pegasus the past two issues doesn't line up with the Milky Way but I it supposedly did? Also the last issue ending problem seems practically ignored and not truly taken into account.
As uninspiring as the first volume and suffering from the same disjointed flow. I did enjoy that last panel, admittedly, but it doesn't make up for the story's deficiencies.
Sometimes it is hard to distinguish beloved characters in this.
Can people (ie actors) ask that their likeness be distorted or hidden in a comic book from a previous work of theirs? Because really, otherwise there is no real excuse for this and just another insult to a beleaguered fandom.
