At the tender age of seven, Jess Riley’s parents were ripped out of her life by the Tear, a ripple of white light in the sky which randomly transports people from Earth to alternate realities and distant planets once a year. On the night the Tear first appeared, the Watchers, a mysterious group of men possessing supernatural powers, made their presence known to the leaders of the world, earning their complete trust to deal with the turmoil the Tear caused.

Now twenty-two years old, Jess is an agent working for the Watcher Agency searching for a way to bring her parents back home. When the leader of the Watchers, Mason Collier, recruits her to join his team, Jess quickly discovers she is meant to play a major role in sealing the Tear forever. Mason and Jess instantly find themselves drawn to one another but they both resist their mutual attraction for different reasons. Broken by past events in their lives, they each struggle to overcome their fears and find the strength to take a chance on one another.

Once upon a time, a little girl was born on a cold winter morning in the heart of Seoul, Korea. She was brought to America by her parents and raised in the Deep South where the words ma'am and y'all became an integrated part of her lexicon. She wrote her first novel at the age of eight and continued writing on and off during her teenage years. In college she studied biology and chemistry and finally combined the two by earning a master's degree in biochemistry. After that she moved to Yankee land where she lived for four years working in a laboratory at Cornell University. Homesickness and snow aversion forced her back South where she lives in the land which spawned Elvis Presley, Oprah Winfrey, John Grisham and B.B. King. After finding her Prince Charming, she gave birth to a wondrous gift named Caylin and they all lived happily ever after.

The second book to the Harvester of Light trilogy will be available for purchase no later than December 2012.

Beautiful story

How can I justify this story without telling too much. A year is made between worlds that opens up every so many years and takes some people to other worlds while leaving people from other worlds on earth.
Jess falls for watcher Mason and they discover they are soul mates.
God fitted 7 people with archangel in their soul. They are the seven destined to fight Lucifer and his 7 princes. Lucifer becomes friends with Jess and feels a pull toward her.
Their are twists and turns. The seven have to find their friend and talismans to come into their power and save the earth. Very good story and very different.

These were fun books to read. I don't read too much romanace, only the occasional paranormal romance, but this one grabbed my attention after reading the first book in the series that I got for free. I bought this set so I could finish the story. At some point I will go back and read the other books and series set in this universe as I am enjoying the storyline.

Another of my favorite authors

This follows the Watcher Trilogy. There are new characters who blend well with the original characters and an all new journey that has many surprises. I am glad I found this series.

wow

Jess and Mason story is incredibly powerful. I love how these two very broken characters become healed and join together. I also really enjoyed seeing another side to Lucifer and can’t wait to see what comes next.

I absolutely love these stories... I would prefer to skip the explicit sexual scenes. I know that some people like them. I prefer to read books with out all of that stuff in them...

I was drawn into this series from the very beginning, and I couldn’t help but buy this box set to find out what happened next. I was so looking forward to finding out how Mason was going to break through Jess’s painful walls and how she was going to teach the scarred fallen angel how to forgive himself. The fact that they clashed so well from the start made the love story that much sweeter. To have Lucifer in the mix as a sort of “third wheel” and “devil’s advocate” was an added bonus. And she sees what kind of faith she has when God tells her what the sacrifice will be in order to save her world.

Jess has sass and stands up to both Mason and Lucifer with the same ease, though her feelings for Mason make things a bit more awkward for her. Their love story starts out sweet and becomes a bit more steamy than might be necessary, for me, but it gives us an insight into how extremely intense and possessive these children of God can be.

Each of the secondary characters become an important part of not only an important set of back stories, but also to the story itself. They are all just as important in their parts whether they be large or small. The loss of a beloved character is heartbreaking and the all-consuming love of the lead characters is passionate.

I think I’ll always have a special place in my heart for Lilly and Brandon, but I adore each of the new characters Ms West introduces to us. I hope to see some of the secondary characters find love among the angels too, but until then, I’m looking forward to reading about the long awaited relationship between Lilly and Brand’s daughter Caylin and the playboy angel Aiden. Thank you for adding another layer to this amazing tale, S.J. West.
