The result is a very personal portfolio that records with an artistic eye the very essence of the French countryside, its buildings and characteristic detail. In the early 1980s his work revolutionized the postcard industry in Scotland. Since then he has produced a varied range of publications, including more than twenty books, as well as calendars. Colin Baxter's photographs demonstrate his special empathy with the environment and cover many areas of Britain and the world. He lives in the Highlands of Scotland.

I never really thought this before but Baxter's perspective of French landscape really reminds me of Pennsylvania. Not the buildings much but the land itself... lovely photography and good as both a "coffee table book" and a source for art inspiration. Glad I brought it into my collection.
