It was a sweet romance. It wasn't amazing good but I had a good time reading Until the Sun Burns Out. I loved Mina and Austin, they were funny, challenging and it was beautiful how they loved each other. We get glimpses of Austin's bad side but not enough. We know that he did bad things and got into trouble but we got no details. That ending was sad and completely out of nowhere. One second they're lovesick puppies and then *dramatic music* he fucking dies of a cardiac arrest. We got no clues of Austin's struggle, Mina hears the news and cries, everybody is sad and voilà! the end of the book. I just wish we could've had a different ending for Mina and Austin.

Everyone knows by now that I hate main character death, but you know what's worse than that? When it completely sidelines you. And had zero idea that Austin was going through this struggle and for him to just randomly drop dead pissed me off beyond belief. I think I'd have preferred for him to just get hit by a car or something than to have been suffering in silence. Ugh I didn't sign up for this. I wanted a light, summery young adult. Giving two stars because I finished and was enjoying it up until the point of no return, but I'm not happy.

This one hit me in the feels...It was a great story and it will definitely make you go through a range of emotions! I don't want to say too much for fear of ruining the story. Garza did a great job on this one, so many emotions, just like most of her books.

Mind Blowed!

I would have like to give this book more stars but I can't, so 5 will have to do, I just want you to know that it's worth more than that.

Mina is a sweet, caring, shy, hot headed girl from OK. It starts with her visiting her the first time in the summer after their divorce. At the beginning you can see she was a little upset and uncomfortable about staying the whole summer there, but she didn't ever imagined is that at the end, she wasn't going to want to leave Inland Cove.

Austin is a funny, sweet, teasing, hot as fire guy from CO. At the beginning you would think that he's a little mean and that he's a brat, rich boy who thrives to make Mina's summer miserable, but that quickly changes as their friendship progresses.

Their friendship is really cute, and sweet. Somewhat platonic for the first summer, but then things start to get serious and it's amazing to see how it progresses for them, while you witness everything.

I like to always see how many chapters there are in a book before reading it, so when I saw that there was only one after the Fourth summer division, I won't lie and say I wasn't disappointed. I thought: "How Amber is going to end their story? I mean is not possible in only on chapter to develop the end of a story like theirs. But let me tell you, that it blowed my mind.

I'm not going to spoil it for you, because I want you to feel everything like I did. I don't remember the last time I cried reading a book, and I cried so hard, I felt everything. And I have to say that now this is one of my favorites stories.

I rarely read a book without an HEA unless it's in a series and I know there's still possibility of one or if it's from a favorite author. In this case it was from one of my favorite authors and I don't think she could write a book I wouldn't read, even though she broken my heart in this one. I knew going in that it didn't have a HEA because she'd already mentioned it due to her fans like me who got an ending they weren't expecting. But through out the book I wonder how was this going to turn out bad? I dare you to try to figure Austin out. I loved him,he's a boy you'd trust your daughter with despite rumors of his less that stellar record back home where he seemed to not be as perfect. The first summer Mina and Austin spent together and even the beginning of their second summer together they both were still alittle immature and insecure. However, they seemed to mature and grow together as the summers pasted by. They both grew as characters and I loved seeing their relationship blossom. Though something unexpected happens that my cause your heart to hurt, the author does leave it on somewhat of sweet memory and I think that was the closer needed. So be prepares to laugh, cry, and fall in love as you take the journey through the Mina and Austin's high school summers. And for all you 80's children out there, where they say "we going rule the streets",I dare you to not here Rizzo in your mind saying "we going rule the school".

A bittersweet love story of two teenagers who, over the course of three summers, forge a friendship that helps them through day to day challenges and develops into a life altering connection.

The writing in this novel is crisp and clean and describes the trials and tribulations of the slow, ant at times painful transition from child to young adult. The voices of each of the main characters are at times a little too wise for their years, but their angst is real.

The plot builds slowly but is very descriptive and you can almost feel the breeze on your face, the salty tang of the water on your lips and the warm sand between your toes. The story finds the height of its arc at about the 85% mark with a dramatic and unexpected twist speeding towards the end after that. The last few chapters, where the emotions are at their highest, seems almost rushed compared to the leisurely pace prior and as a result, some of the conclusions and explanations feel a little forced.

Lovers of this genre will appreciate the beauty of this well-told story, richly detailed and awash with the turbulent emotions of the almost adult.

Starting to read this book I thought it was the typical summer romance you always read about, but this book became so much more. I loved Mina and Austins story, they really were perfect for each other. Mina had the exact opposite personality from mine but yet I fell in love with her character and who she was. I loved how while reading I could picture everything in my head and imagine everything that was going on around them. I liked that the story was divided into summers and each summer you got to see the changes in the characters and the growth they made. The ending was super unexpected and it was definitely a heart wrencher. I'd say this is the best summer read of 2016. It's short, but full of emotion. 5 stars for Mina and Austin.

An Emotional & Beautiful read! This book had me Feeling Everything!!
Until the Sun Burns Out is Beautifully written and such a Sweet story about two people named Mina & Austin who meet one summer and fall in love for the very first time. Over the next three summers you follow their friendship/relationship as see how it grows. I enjoyed every second of this story! It had me smiling, my heart swooning like crazy (Austin is an Epic Book Boyfriend), kept me turning the pages always wanting more, and then left me a Hot Mess at the end with the little twist Amber threw in, which surprised me. In my Honest Opinion this is a MUST READ and you I don't want any book fans of Amber Garza to Miss Out on Austin & Mina's Lovely journey 8)

This book totally gave me all the feels. I was hooked in from word 1. The story is about Mina and Austin who meet during a summer that she spends at her dad's house following a divorce. She didn't really care for him when they met at 15. Each summer, she would return and they would discover how much they changed in the time that they were apart, yet their feelings for each other growing stronger. She's convinced that she loves the guy that she knows but is he the same person in his "real" life. This book brought me back to a time where you experience your first love and navigate the teen years. I was caught off guard at how emotional I was at the end of this book. Truly a must read, especially if you like YA/NA books.

Get your tissues ready

Mina's folks divorce and she is fiorced to spend her sumnners with her dad at his beach house. She is not happy with the situation until she meets a guy name Austin and those Summers change for the better.

Austin and Mina spend their time playing sports, walking, talking, and eventually kissing.. Austin calls her Summer girl which is fitting for their relationship. But, it is obvious that

Austin and Mina have fallen in love despite, the miles between them when they are not at the beach. Austin begins to call her his forever girl...but how long is forever?

I just finished the book and I'm still crying omg I was reading it and feeling exactly like Mila, her problems with her father and the thing about going with his little brother to spend the summer with her father and he having a girlfriend. And omg I didn't expect what happened to him I was all the time like no no this is not happening she's dreaming. I loved this book but I'm angry because it also made me cry so hard. But thanks to Amber for writing this book. And it also made me want to write myself and autobiographic book

Oh my word. If you haven't read this yet, read it. It was fantastically written. It is also one of those books that will stick with you. If someone mentions the name of it, you'll never have to think about it to try to remember. I'm still pretty speechless with a book hangover from it, but again, just give it a go.

“Sometimes people are only meant to be in our lives for a season.”

So i have the conclusion from this book,

don't take people around you for granted, because you have ever known how long they will be around you, as long as they will be, just treat them well as you can do.

Want to recall your first summer love? Then this is the book for you. Mina and Austin are both dealing with family issues and start bonding at 15. This book takes you over their love story over the course of 3 summers.

Spoiler!!!!!!!!

Be ready with some tissues - it's an ugly cry at the end. Not at all what I was expecting!

Until the Sun Burns Out is a standalone book by Amber Garza. This storyline was spot on with lots of depth and emotion. The twist at the end of the book was very unexpected and very heartbreaking. Loved the characters and their passion and chemistry. All in all a very solid book that I would highly recommend!!!

Wow. Most books don't leave me speechless, but this one did...in the best possible way! Honestly I laughed, I cried, I smiled, and in the end I decided this might not be a book for everyone, but it was for me.

Sad ending

The whole story was beautiful.....until the end. It was sad and I was disappointed. We have real life to deal with death and sad endings. I wish the author would of ended this book differently.

Strange ending

The story started good but got a little boring and Mina was constantly repeating her feelings. I skimmed over the last 30% of the story and didn't miss anything. The ending was strange not sure why the author would make that choice for the outcome. 2.5 stars

What to say......

It was a great book, but I don't read books so I can cry at the end. Just saying. Was it worth the time? I'm not so sure. And I am such a fan of Amber Garza too
