A federal government agent was missing, a very special agent. Mack Bolan found her in a chicken coop in Kansas. At first the sultry beauty did not recognize Mack. At first she could only moan.

Her name was Smiley Dublin, a Ranger girl from Bolans war against the Mafia. She had fallen prey to pitiless slavers who treated humans like cattle-abducting, drugging, beating, selling them.

Bolan's gut burned. In a Jersey warehouse, he squeezed Tommy the Weasel til he squealed, then followed a trail of horror all the way to Algiers.

He would make the flesh peddlers pay with their blood.

Don Pendleton was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, December 12, 1927 and died October 23, 1995 in Arizona.

He wrote mystery, action/adventure, science-fiction, crime fiction, suspense, short stories, nonfiction, and was a comic scriptwriter, poet, screenwriter, essayist, and metaphysical scholar. He published more than 125 books in his long career, and his books have been published in more than 25 foreign languages with close to two hundred million copies in print throughout the world.

After producing a number of science-fiction and mystery novels, Don launched in 1969 the phenomenal Mack Bolan: The Executioner, which quickly emerged as the original, definitive Action/Adventure series. His successful paperback books inspired a new particularly American literary genre during the early 1970's, and Don became known as "the father of action/adventure."

"Although The Executioner Series is far and away my most significant contribution to world literature, I still do not perceive myself as 'belonging' to any particular literary niche. I am simply a storyteller, an entertainer who hopes to enthrall with visions of the reader's own incipient greatness."

Don Pendleton's original Executioner Series are now in ebooks, published by Open Road Media. 37 of the original novels.

Another solid entry from Mike Newton. Bolan’s rescue of a former partner in his war against the Mafia leads him to a vile slavery ring based out of Algiers.

Hard to believe that after 60 books, this series is still going strong, especially with Sold For Slaughter which keeps Mack Bolan’s story flowing and adds to a stretch of consistency we haven’t seen in a while.

The plot is a bit on the weak side and the bad guys aren’t exactly the most original, nor all that dangerous, however, As is the case with the rest of the Golden Eagles, this one is straight dadlit, entertaining from start to finish.

I’ll agree that Slaughter isn’t the most original or the strongest of the series, however, as he has done in a few previous entries, Newton handles Bolan like a professional, never deviating from the norm. It’s action packed, it’s violent, and it’s still incredibly enjoyable.

And who can look at that cover and say it sucks? Its glorious!

This is the best one I've read by Michael Newton to this point in the series. Bolan is back facing the mob again and then he is back in Algiers to take on a white slavery ring. They had taken Smiley and that made him mad and a mad Executioner is a dangerous thing.

Recommended, of course Newton is a legend but not that impressed with his other early works in this series. However this one is a solid read with a nice pace and plenty of action.

Mike Newton, in my opinion, is one of the best authors to handle The Executioner series. He has his good and bad, but mostly good. This time Mack finds an old friend being sold into the flesh market. He saves her and sets out to Algeria to cut off the vipers head. Action explodes in his wake as the bad guys numbers are decimated. You know what to expect.

This book could have been about 90 pages shorter now keep in mind these Mack Nolan books are only a couple hundred pages as it is. This one seemed to have an awful lot of filler material that really took away from the action. But if you're in the mood for something short, quick and to the point these books are perfect for that!

Bolan executes a trial by fire through the Algiers white slavery market ('women being sold for slaugther' (sex slaves) and saves Smiley in the process.
