War has been proclaimed on the human race - in the name of protecting the environment. A fanatic "green warrior" wages his war using robbery, extortion and mass murder. Now he is about to send a one-two-three punch that will shock America to its core.
Bolan has to thwart phase one - assassination of the President of the United States. Phase two is a chemical holocaust that would threaten untold American lives.
But the greatest act of eco terrorism ever envisioned is already underway beneath the Pacific Ocean, and the Executioner engages in a desparate search-and-destroy in a final showdown to hand deliver his brand of justice.
Don Pendleton was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, December 12, 1927 and died October 23, 1995 in Arizona.
He wrote mystery, action/adventure, science-fiction, crime fiction, suspense, short stories, nonfiction, and was a comic scriptwriter, poet, screenwriter, essayist, and metaphysical scholar. He published more than 125 books in his long career, and his books have been published in more than 25 foreign languages with close to two hundred million copies in print throughout the world.
After producing a number of science-fiction and mystery novels, Don launched in 1969 the phenomenal Mack Bolan: The Executioner, which quickly emerged as the original, definitive Action/Adventure series. His successful paperback books inspired a new particularly American literary genre during the early 1970's, and Don became known as "the father of action/adventure."
"Although The Executioner Series is far and away my most significant contribution to world literature, I still do not perceive myself as 'belonging' to any particular literary niche. I am simply a storyteller, an entertainer who hopes to enthrall with visions of the reader's own incipient greatness."
Don Pendleton's original Executioner Series are now in ebooks, published by Open Road Media. 37 of the original novels.
I swore off these "Super Bolan" or double length novels. They normally come in at 349 pages and the have our hero, Mack, get thrown into a plot against something or other and kills a bunch of bad guys. Then the next chapter repeats itself, ad nauseam. The shorter books work out a lot better. I already bought this thing, so I decided to give it a go. One extra reason was because of the author, David Robbins. He's one of my favorites of late. He is the creator of "EndWorld" and "Blade" books. This one turned out fine.
Bolan is hunting a eco-terrorist group called Green Rage. The are out to open up the eyes of the world to polluters. The leader will use any method to achieve his aim. The group plans a three prong attack to stop the destruction of Mother Earth and kill as many people as possible. Mack teams up with a female fed to stop the carnage. This one has all the action you would expect along with a story that just doesn't rely on explosions and gun play. There is a lot of it though.
