Leo promised to keep Aaron and Kaleb forever. Yet he’s left them with nothing more than a note with instructions to obey the commands of another god? A god who has the key to Kaleb’s collar. A god who will tell them nothing about what’s happened to Leo or where he’s gone.

Kaleb and Aaron both fear the worst. That Leo has not abandoned them, but left them because he won’t be coming back. Not because he doesn’t want to, but because he can’t.

Too many have died and the god-son is growing stronger. With no way for any god to track it, Leo has only one choice left. Fight fire with fire.

Or in this case Chimera against Chimera.

The problem is Leo has always maintained control of the beast within him. Using its natural senses to do what no other can. In order to stand a chance at tracking and killing the god-son Leo must give the Chimera within complete control.

And the Chimera might not let him return if he does.

Who's a kinky perv like me?

Alright kinksters this is for you. I'm not going to mince words here. We got hosed. I was all sorts of ready for this conclusion. I was looking forward to the porn running over? through? within? ah hell, whatever! I was looking forward to the porn.

We've been steamrolling toward this gathering through the first three books. And I could not wait to see what sort of depravity Leo would pull out of his hat to claim his doxie in public. Alas, twas not to be. Instead we got an actual story.

I know! Three books chockablock with spank bank material and the barest thread of plot and then a story gets thrown in during my would be climax? C'mon mein! That's just mean. And the story is involved. It's cerebral and scientific and focuses on world building in stark contrast to the previous three books.

I tried. I mean I really tried to get with this program and I will give credit where credit is due and say that (objectively as I can get) this is a good story. It fleshes out some of the other gods and their hierarchy. The pacing is pretty good and it does have an open ending that leaves the possibility for more. But I cannot shake the feeling that this book was written by someone else. Where did my demon possessed kinky perv go?

Aside from the decided lack of inspired kinky and sadistic shenanigans, this books separated my MCs! I hate that. Leo is off on his quest to find and destroy the god son while his doxies make feeble attempts to satisfy each other. Lemme put it this way two doxies does not a chimera cock make. And these two are jonesing for Leo's chimera cock in a bad way. As was I. So much so that Kaleb starts dreaming of banging the actual chimera.

I heart me some kink but you gotta fire off a warning shot or something before you start throwing in the bestiality. werd.

Lastly, I'm not thrilled with how women are depicted in this world. There haven't been a lot of them until the finale and I may be reading more into it than I should, but there seems to be an underlying misogyny. The goddesses are portrayed as untouchable, chaste, celibate, all-knowing yet somehow short-sighted, lacking empathy and even stupid. Add to that the fact that all of the gods mother's were either raped or gang raped doesn't sit well either. There's something off-putting about women being punished for their sexuality. I mean, I'm not asking for mf sex in a mm book but do they all have to be nuns and/or rape victims? Feared or pitied? That's disingenuous in my book.

I really hate being the voice of dissent but lying isn't in my wheelhouse either. Like I said earlier, objectively speaking the story is good, though it wasn't what I wanted it to be and I struggled to make the transition from expectation to reality with minimal success. However, I would be interested in reading other books in this series if there were to be spin offs. I just hope they're like the first three books.

I would absolutely encourage anyone interested in this story to read the other reviews. As for the kinky pervs like me, stick to books 1-3. Serious spank bank material there.

What a fabulous conclusion to Leo, Kaleb & Aarons story. This has been a really enjoyable paranormal journey - dark and gritty erotica, not everyone's kink, but sheesh very well written! The characters all have interesting backgrounds and I'm glad to see the series continue with other characters coming to the front... new journeys and adventures. Really loved this one ❤️

Okay, I kind of saw it coming at the end of the last book, but damn...there's a whole lot of new plot in this porn.

Given there's only so much story to tell with Leo, Kaleb and Aaron, I approve of this expansion of the 'verse. The pain & pleasure here is (again) top-notch and I love how these guys love each other, especially how Kaleb's total love for Leo includes the Chimera...which definitely contributed to the healing of that (slightly dissociative) identity crisis.

Lots of new angles, new threads, new plot points and new characters - many of whom that I hope get their own stories. (Pandora & Ishtar? YES PLEASE?!??!!!) Looking forward to the next one...

Read this twice because it was so good and I didn't want it to end. The story delved further into the history of the Gods, the purpose of the Goddesses, and the intricacies of the doxies and their ambrosia production. Each god in the story is representative of a god from one mythology or another; hadn't been sure about the true identity of The Priest; that question was answered. Got up close and personal with the Chimera, and watching Leo and his monstrous "twin" become more symbiotic was fascinating. By exposing his inner monster, Leo actually became more human than he'd been in any of the previous books.

Thought the underlying message was compelling, and definitely food for thought. At what point does technological advancement we don't quite understand become "magic"? Is having the knowledge and ability to save or end a life the same thing as playing God? Is using knowledge to manipulate the natural order of the Universe good, evil, or neither? The one thing I took away from this book (besides a desire to read every Adrienne Wilder story I can get my hands on) is that unconditional love is a force that can tame even the most frightening monster. And sometimes it really is better to listen with your heart, rather than your head. Sigh......yes, I'm a hopeless romantic who wants the world and all its inhabitants to live in peace and harmony.......and sometimes there is so much truth in fiction...

I freaking love this series!!!!!! I've spent days reading this book because I didn't want it to end. Adrienne Wilder has done the unimaginable. She's created a dark and fascinating series that has to be one of the best BDSM/paranormal/fantasy stories I've ever read. The implements of torture via The Priest made me happy in my heart. LOL, clearly I'm a member of the sadist club.

Didn't like Aaron much at all in book 3 because he messed up my vibe, but this? THIS WAS FABULOUS! Leo and Kaleb reuniting in the woods did it for me. Fucking fangirl for life! I'm 90% done as I write this review but it's safe to say I'm a happy gal. Awesome conclusion!

This fourth book in the Bound Gods series brings an end to the story of Leo, Kaleb and Aaron and should not be read without reading the prior books in the series. If you’re reading this review I’m assuming you’ve already done that and you’re not going to want to miss this ending. If not, just know that this was an amazing ending to their story and you should go get Book 1 – The Chimera - immediately. Reborn is full of action, sex, love and jaw dropping moments and wraps up all the main questions surrounding the men while raising a few new questions and setting up several gods for possible future stories.

Knowing he may not return from his hunt, Leo leaves Kaleb and Aaron in the care of The Priest and vanishes without saying goodbye, devastating his two doxies who react in two different ways. But that is not all that is going on here. Alton is trying to deal with those who have betrayed the Association, resulting in an impending visit from the Circle of Powers with a god who wishes to destroy them. He is also dealing with the possibility of the secrets of their existence being leaked and the potential for the goddesses to put an end to the Association as a whole. All of this leads up to an epic showdown between the two chimeras and more than one life and death situation that had me on the edge of my seat, really not knowing who would make it to the end of the book.

Even though Leo is separated from Aaron and Kaleb for the majority of the story, it didn’t affect my enjoyment one bit. It was an opportunity to see different sides of all three men as they deal with the separation and its surprising effects. The Priest (who is an incredibly interesting character) takes over the training of the boys. His methods aren’t colored by Leo’s motivations so he has a different way of handling them and he doesn’t hold back. He focuses on what he deems lacking – control for Kaleb and communication for Aaron. Kaleb is still struggling with being a doxie and wanting and liking what Leo does even though he finds it humiliating and wrong. Aaron is doing his best to obey Leo while he’s gone, but Kaleb sees it as a betrayal. Luckily Kaleb and Aaron have each other for comfort, and comfort each other they do! When Leo finally gets in touch, he makes sure his doxies are taken care of as only Leo can do and I don’t think I’ve ever read such an intense phone sex scene.

Leo has come so far from the broken man who had given up in the first book. He no longer has a death wish and while he still isn’t comfortable with his “monster”, he is realizing that he has control over his actions and that the Chimera does not define him. Unfortunately, he also realizes that once he gives the Chimera control, it may never relinquish it back to him. If you still had trouble warming up to the man, I think you will wind up loving him by the end of this.

The details in the hunt and battle scenes were so well done. As exciting as it was gruesome, I could picture it all like it was unfolding before me on a screen. One thing I never expected was to become emotionally attached to the Chimera itself. The emotional and eye-opening interaction between Leo and the Chimera, as neither has experienced before (especially when it comes to Kaleb’s safety) really had an impact on me. I loved the way it played out and even knowing how much the Chimera has always wanted Kaleb as his own, I wasn't really expecting Adrienne Wilder to take it so far. It was depraved and dirty, but it was also oddly affectionate and tender.

Even once the god-son is dealt with, there is still plenty of story and danger left. Aaron and Kaleb are both put through the wringer in this one and Leo’s love for them, which I admit I questioned before, is undeniable in the end.

There is more of the nod to mythology that has been a thread throughout the series. We learn the heartbreaking stories of a number of the other gods including Cerberus, The Priest and sweet Pandora, who is also a victim of Sol’s deceit. Kaleb’s brother Sonny is back and though my feelings for him and the way he sometimes treats Kaleb are mixed, he is really coming into his own under Zen’s training. There is also some thought-provoking discussion on technology, history and magic and the ways it could change the future for gods and men alike.

This series has been such an interesting, boundary pushing journey. Even though this brings the Bound Gods series and Leo, Kaleb and Aaron’s story to a satisfying and happy conclusion, there is so much more to this world that I would love to see. I only hope that Adrienne Wilder brings us more of these gods, men and other beings in the future.

Oh man...what can I say? I’m completely and utterly taken by these books. I don’t wanna do anything else, I just wanna read them. It started crazy as hell and tho book 1 intrigued me I wasn’t really sure it would eventually be a romance. This is book 4 and I’m still wondering...

It’s A LOT of sex, for sure. And by a lot, I mean if you think you have read a book and at some point you said to yourself “wow that’s a lot of sex”, well you were wrong. This series is the one with A LOT of sex. And 99% of the time the sex is pure torture. The boys are caged, plugged, pierced, sounded, fisted (I KNOW) and fucked into an inch of their lives, but somehow it’s all good and Leo and the chimera love them and care for them and protects them and it at some point you are a little bit in love with Kaleb, Aaron and Leo. I don’t know how it happened, but it did.

I’m already reading book 5 so help me god. I don’t know if it can’t be any more shocking but I’m positive Adrianne will prove me wrong. Bless her.

I finished reading Reborn a few hours ago and I'm still struggling to pick my jaw up off the floor. GOOD LORD ALMIGHTY!!!! I swear reading Adrienne Wilder's books make me feel like a complete pervert for liking them. I’ve read several books that have CBT in them but never to this level. Each book in the series gets better and better but this one is just so...WOW!

Reborn feels like three stories in one for me. First, you have the hunt for the god-son. The only way they can find the god-son and kill it is to pit Chimera against Chimera. Zen, Cerberus and god-in-training Sonny are along for the ride as Leo struggles with not only being away from his doxies, but also as he deals with the monster within him. Leo has never given the Chimera complete control and when he does, it is one explosive moment for everyone, but most importantly Leo. This journey they take is a revelation in more ways than one. Honestly, I don't know which had me more blown away - the epic battle between Chimeras or Cerberus' story. GAH!

Next up is the time Kaleb and Aaron spend with the Priest. Leo has left his doxies in the care of The Priest while he sets out to hunt down the god-son. Kaleb is not happy to find himself in The Priest's care with only a note to obey. Kaleb is not a true doxie so to say he had a problem with being with another god is an understatement however, The Priest has been around a very long time and knows how to handle a defiant doxie. There are quite a few 'moments' between Kaleb and Aaron to keep things very entertaining as well as time spent with The Priest - some good, some bad and some just O.o

Lastly is the investigation by the Circle of Powers. Sol, Wolf, Aaron, Pandora, goddesses, god-sons. So many dirty little secrets here to be had as they all come to the light! Some I was not to surprise to learn as I had already guessed them but there were still quite a few that caught me off-guard. So many mysteries to become unraveled while other leave me dying to want more.

There's a lot going on in all these little stories as they intertwine and curve around each other. Add to that all the secondary characters that have made their appearances and have me oh so curious! As for Kaleb, Aaron and Leo of course they get their HEA, but how they get there and all that they go through for it was a journey that took my shocked breath away. Now I did say THEY got their HEA, and yes this series has (Sadly!) come to an end. Yet, the author has left just enough openings that there can be spin-offs or additional stories added. I personally am hoping this isn't the end for these gods. Adrienne Wilder if you are reading this - please, please, PLEASE! don't let this be the end!

Such a wondrous journey I know I am addicted to these books ..

This book has so much happening that has to happen there are decisions to be made and people to find...

The description of the Chimera was breath taking the writing made you feel and I mean feel....

Reborn and that 's true .
Extremely dark read but for me it was beautiful as Leo found himself and beautiful Aaron was safe and Kaleb , he who I hold to my heart was to feel reborn with his love strong to give to Leo and Aaron.
Every part of this book was consuming such a wondrous book.

Review by The Blogger Girls.

This is the conclusion of the Bound Gods story. You should definitely read them in order to fully understand this world and what is happening and why in this installment.

There are definitely changes in the air. The Gods are in a somewhat state of flux, their very existence balancing on a fine line. There are those who want to see them all destroyed, and there are some interesting twists as the pieces fall into place surrounding the hunt for the God-son, how it came to be, how it can be stopped and what it hopes to accomplish. The killing spree and danger it poses to the Doxies have forced Alton to take major action – sending the Chimera after it.

So, Leo (and by default, the Chimera) leaves to hunt down the God-son, which poses a few extra problems. If he doesn’t return, what will happen to Kaleb and Aaron? What happens if the Chimera lives but doesn’t allow Leo to return? Kaleb is in love with both, but there are many unknowns where they are concerned. What is known is that without being able to release their Ambrosia, the Doxies will essentially overdose, go mad, etc. They simply cannot survive without their Gods, the sole reason for not allowing monogamous God/Doxie relationships. Yet Leo has not only Kaleb, but Aaron.

Leo leaves the boys with the Priest, who takes over their training and care. His methods are different, but he is still very much in control and has no qualms about dishing out the punishments and rewards. There is another part of this story concerning Aaron involving Sol, who turns out to have been more involved with Aaron than just his Claiming, and not in a good way.

Suffice to say, there is a lot going on, but it is those very things that I enjoyed most about this story. Those are what made this more interesting and engaging for me. I found some of the sex scenes a little too drawn out, and I had to skim a little bit to get to the parts that really moved the story along. There were often things, such as Kaleb’s differences to other Doxies, his needing Leo, etc. that felt repetitive and unnecessary, and again, gave me the urge to skim.

But, overall, if you can handle the intense sex/pain, which is a crucial element to this story, you will find a very interesting fantasy with some really interesting characters. We learn more about some of the other Gods and also see that Sonny is progressing quite well under Zen’s tutelage. This wraps up nicely with most of the questions answered but leaving just a tiny bit of wiggle room for a spinoff or later snippet. However, it definitely gives enough for a very satisfying ending.

★★★★☆ ~ 4 Stars For the Series - ★★★☆☆ ~ 3 Stars for Reborn
Well, where was the smexing? Leo was off on his adventure and Kaleb were being babysat by the Priest. There was a damn plot here but after the first three books chockablock of all kinds of sexy times, this was kind of a letdown so I'm giving 4 stars for the overall series but Reborn is a 3 star.

Excellent Series

This is a very dark/black tale of a post apocalyptic world, centered around a society of gods and doxies.

The story is fantastic, the writing style mostly very good, and characters are well-developed and complex. The relationships between characters are deep and emotional.

I’d looove to read about Priest’s story. That would be an epic tale!

If you are a person who is triggered by pretty much anything, stay away.

This book wraps up some of the story arc but leads us to the next chapter, which will be change....but what kind of change???

Again, more science and dna stuff but also more connecting and relationship building/learning for all of our heroes. Some alliances are made or strengthened, some betrayal is difficult to take and all of the gods are facing a new reality.

Still can't put them down.

Unbelievable book and unbelievable series. Multiple scenes in this installment that will be hard to top. From one of the best phone sex scenes to one of the most beautiful reuniting and rejoining of characters I have ever read. The connection and bond between these characters continues to astound me.

Bravo Adrienne, Bravo!

This is such a great series, it is one you feel guilty for enjoying so much but hey ho its fiction!

This is the last book and I'm sad but happy that the guys all get a HFN. Before the HFN there is a lot going on, Kaleb and Aaron are sent to stay with the priest as Leo has a mission to attend - basically he has to deal with issue that has been a back story though the books, but in this book its all out there.

The priest is different from Leo, and if I'm honest I missed the interaction between Leo and Kaleb in the first half of the book, yes there was dreams but wasn't quite the same. Back to the priest yes he is different but he does sexy/torturous things to the boys and tries to tame Kaleb, not an easy task and not very successfully if I'm honest. Along with priest working Kaleb and Aaron, the boys make the most of the time they have and explore each other some more, they are almost insatiable.

This has been a great series, I grew to really like Leo even though he was tough on Kaleb, you could tell he cared for him.

A fabulously depraved MM read.

*book contains whipping, fisting (uncomfortable to read but apparently good to feel according to Aaron!), enemas and so much more - you have been warned :)

This was a pretty awesome series, but it's definitely not for everyone. It's pretty out there, not to mention brutal. But there was a cool blend of erotica and mythology here. Adrienne Wilder has created a pretty detailed dystopian world. There are monsters, gods, a little sci fi, alternate history, and some pretty extreme kink things happening. But by the end of the story, we have an honest romance. It's not perfect- there were a few times I was a little confused, a few times I felt things were over explained, and some editing issues, but his story telling is good stuff.

Bound Gods was such a fabulous serious to kick start this Universe.
After reading their complete story I decided to combine the reviews as one.
This is Leo and Kaleb's story ~ just the beginning in what promises to be a very entertaining and suspenseful series.
The author has created such a magical universe with this series.
Blending multiple creatures of myth and lore with a unique twist to their existence.
Doxies created to feed the needs of the gods -
God's controlled by their addiction to Ambrosia -
A sensual blend of want vs need ~ pain vs pleasure

A world of immortal men, gods if you will, that once hid from humans and their persecution may now have no choice but to once again walk among them

This is a dark dub con mm that checks off all those sadistic little boxes
First I want to say by the time this serial read ends Kaleb's dad better be served the justice he deserves!
My other wish is that Sonny gets his HEA.
That being said...

I adore Kaleb to absolutely no end! The kid is about as curious as they come. I think that is one of the things I adore about him. He isn't really innocent per se (yes physically he is just a babe) but he puts off this vibe that just makes me want to build a wall around him and protect him.
This aura he puts off seems to affect everyone else as well.

Leo is done - Time to retire and let the years take him. He has agreed to this last trainee. 365 days and then he can retire. Only there is something more to this one. Something that calls to Leo's beast. The Chimera is just a smitten with this new toy as Leo.

There are so many twists in the overall story ~ Wolves that walk among the sheep. I think Leo is figuring that out as well.
But again the author has me hanging on a cliff at the end of each episode without enough rope to safely descend.

This has a unique overall story line with some intriguing subplots woven in. It was easy to follow and definitely kept me engaged.
The characters are vivid and each seems to have a unique trait/power. For a couple of the cast members, we are given some ideas on what "powers" they wield but not enough information for me to make a definite decision right away. As the story progresses though - HOLY CHIT - just be prepared, and no kindle throwing (you won't be able to finish if you break your toys)
I had no problem connecting with the cast on the deeper emotional level I prefer.
Note this is M/M, M/s, S/well his isn't a masochist yet but give it time 😉

So close to awesomeness

So close to awesomeness

This series is really hitting it's stride. The world building is amazing. The character development is incredible. The plot is so interesting. The editing is 95% of the way there.

And then Alton says this; "(I) have bred for doxies with a polyamorous nature?” Excuse me? So do you breed them to be gay too?

The reason he does this apparently is because falling in love is a doxies ambrosia and being polyamorous will prevent them from falling in love. Which is to be avoided at all costs. Apparently being polyamorous keeps you from forming deep, lasting, loving emotional bonds, and allows you to stay emotionally detached and be promiscuous without caring who you have sex with. Polyamory is not the same as promiscuity. Being poly doesn't mean you're emotionally stunted and unable to fall in love and be committed to your partners. I guess it's just like the BDSM stuff, what's in this book does not remotely resemble reality.

Other than that Leo goes through some amazing character growth. This story went in a direction I did not expect. And that doesn't happen very often. I'm so excited I decided to stick with this series. This is definitely the best book so far.

At first this felt like a filler book but not a filler book that inserts itself between amaze-ball books but a filler book where it has more of a plot than the books that came before. The 3 books before gave us bits and pieces but mostly it gave us hot m/m domination sexy times all in the name of Doxie training. This book gave us some of that but also took us on a journey and gave us more gods to obsess over. I am addicted. I've binged the hell out of this series so far and have had to slam the breaks on my Bound Gods compulsion to prevent my imminent overdose. I'm pausing for a hot minute to avoid Burnout.

But I'll be back to book 5 soon. Here's a lil tidbit about me...I haven't bought a book in over a year. Probably closer to 2. I have my KU sub and the library. This is everything I need. But and I mean BUT, if book 5 all of a sudden was no longer offered through KU....(please don't do this Adrienne I'm not suggesting it for realz) but if it wasn't I'd actually fork over my hard earned nickels and buy it. AND.... I'd pay full price for it. BOOM 💥 🤯

I can’t believe it, but there was actual plot in this fourth part of the series. And the plot was actually pretty exciting! I didn’t even miss the sex. Well, I didn’t miss it a lot. Not that there wasn’t sex. There was still plenty and still pretty creative. Just different. Leo was definitely missing. But boy did I feel that reunion in the end. It was everything I didn’t even know I wanted and more. Definitely one to remember.

I’m stealing half a star for the epilogue, because Aaron didn’t get to reunite as well. I wanted to see all three of them together again for a while, my heart was aching for a final scene with them and the epilogue just went into a whole other (a bit confusing) direction and left things with my three boys unfinished.

But I guess we’ll see at least a bit of them again in the other books? I really hope so… The Gathering is still a carrot dangling in front of my face and I pray I won’t only get to experience it from someone else’s POV.

Just Keeps Getting Better

The story in this series is advancing and is just grabbing my attention in an iron fist. I can’t get enough. Anyone claiming that this series is just pure smut needs to at least get to this book. Because the story explodes outward and becomes so much more.

I won’t post any spoilers, but I definitely cried towards the end of this book. Twice. My heart was aching and I really couldn’t believe that turn of events.

The character development in this is perfect. I am so happy that this book expanded on such a great adventure and story.

If you’re seriously considering if you want to continue this series, at least read this book. I promise it’ll grab you and never let go.

This stories just keeps getting better and better. Leo and The Chimera are evolving and being forced to work as a unit, a team instead of Leo maintaining control and using the chimeras senses. Kaleb is truly out to the test during this book while he has to obey The Priest while Leo is out hunting. Aaron is just Aaron, he rolls with most of the punches and he thrives as a Doxie. He helps keep Kaleb sane. But the powers that be are really making it hard for these three. The story is getting more and more complex, every time a question is answered it just leads to five more. More drama is clearly coming.
