Zoe Walker is enjoying a night out with her friends when she meets him...the arrogant son of the man who destroyed her family. She couldn't stand him before she learned who he was and now that she knows, she really doesn't want to have anything to do with him.

But Chad Hunter is persistent and refuses to take no for an answer. He pursues Zoe relentlessly and the more she resists, the more he wants her.

When he finally wears her down and makes her his, he knows their relationship will not be easily. There are a lot of secrets that can destroy them before they even have a chance to get started.

I really enjoyed this book. It sucked me in right from the first chapter. Chad is a real bastard at first but the authors do a great job of turning your opinion of him around by the middle of the book. Zoe is a strong character who doesn't gives in easily and gives right back to Chad. There are a lot of twists and secrets, most of which I didn't see coming and it ends on a big cliffhanger. Then there is the sex...damn, it is hot!! Very well written and steamy.

My thoughts:

POV switches between Zoe and Chad
Quick hook or slow starter? 4 (I was hooked from the first chapter)
Character development: 4
Level of Romance between characters: 4
Passion/Heat level: 4 (you know right from the start that these two are going to burn up the pages when they get together and it doesn't disappoint)
Angst/Heartbreak: 4 (Family secrets create a lot of obstacles)
Cliffhanger?: Yes, a big one!

Overalls, I liked it and can't wait to see what is in store for Zoe and Chad next.

**I was given this book for an honest review**

I loved this book! I was afraid that it was going to follow some of those other books where rich wealthy guy meets innocent poor girl, but honestly they couldn’t have done Zoe’s character any better. She was such a strong powerful woman and I loved her sassiness!

I do admit in the beginning of the book I despised Chad’s character. I thought he was chauvinistic and a complete ass, but after a couple of chapters I loved the way he grew because of his love for Zoe.

To me this book had everything, love, sex, and comedy.

It had a powerful love story like Romeo and Juliet (they even reference this in the book.) My favorite part is when Chad gave Zoe the broach, I thought that was so romantic and witty. The two main characters really play well off each other. This book also had suspense, right up until the very end. It had twists and turn and I couldn't put it down.

The ONLY thing I didn’t like about the book……...it ended. It ended on such a cliffhanger that I really can’t wait for the next book.

Wow - I really enjoyed this book. I am never sure what to expect from an inter-racial couple drama as some authors like to dwell on making that the focal point but I liked that this was not all about that. It wasn't ignored but it wasn't the focus and I love that. From the strong characters right down to the scandalous drama. I LOVED IT! Zoe could not be more aggressively funnier with her straight forward, no BS attitude and with Chad and his egotistical personality it was just a match made to entertain! Both friends, family and arch nemesis alike made this a complete success. Not only was I looking forward to see what transpired between the main couple but also with everyone around them. The sexual and scandalous intensity was set to perfect the best suspense throughout the book. I can't wait to find out what happens next!

What?! A cliffhanger?! It is so frustrating to get to the end to find out there is more and I can't even read it yet.
I enjoyed this book. I like the premises of this story, with it being a Romeo/Juliet kind of thing. But wow there is more than that going on and definitely a few twists I did not see coming.
I liked the character, especially Chad. I like how he really pursued Zoe by all means necessary even if he did go stalker on her.
I'm not sure I like how fast it all seemed to go. It was like one minute she hated him and the next she was in love with him.
I will be reading the next one though.

I received and ARC through the New Adult Book Club in exchange for an honest review.

Excellent read! Good writing with a great storyline and characters. I adored Zoe and Chad and I'm looking forward to the rest of their story in the next book. In this one their sizzling hot romance begins despite the bad blood between their families. Lies and secrets are uncovered however which may have them torn apart before they can ever really begin. This is one I definitely recommend but fair warning it does have a cliffhanger and is continued in a subsequent book.

I was provided this book for an honest review. Thank you for the opportunity. I'm giving it a 2.5 Stars. I liked but...

I had a really hard time reading this not necessarily because of the story line but because of the formatting of the book. Punctuation was missing, chapters ran together, and frequent typos. I'm hoping it's because of the way it ended up being formatted by either Kindle or the publishing software that was used.

It was a good start and the idea was there. There was romance, personal struggles, family secrets, mystery, suspense, intrigue, sex, and a lil bit of humor. I just wasn't able to connect to the characters. Zoe and Chad are star crossed lovers - family feud should keep them apart but that attraction they feel makes it more than difficult.

The cliffhanger was played out in a strange way meaning it just felt rushed. The authors did a great job in making it so that reader is needs to know what happens next but besides the big cliffhanger there was something missing. I don't know.

As I said earlier, I didn't connect very well to the characters and the formatting drove me crazy.

I Surrender... is a book by first time co-authors Candice L. Davis and myself. It's a story about 2 dominating personalities who find their way to each other despite the resistance and obstacles that are presented to them.

This is a different take on the "Billionaire Bad-boy" and "Damsel in Distress" love story.

Zoe Walker is no shrinking flower, she is confident and successful in her own right and isn't looking for Chad Hunter to save her, in fact she would appreciate it if he would leave her alone.

Chad Hunter is an asshole and he's gorgeous and he revels in that fact. He knows what he wants and gets it and then there's Zoe.

Chad sees something in Zoe that has been missing in his life, but he just can't put his finger on it.

They play an entertaining game of cat and mouse with each other while navigating through the past dramas of their own families.

We hope as we develop this series that those who read it-- love Zoe and Chad as much as we do.

Wow! What an ending!

I found this book easy to read. I don't find the story in the first half of the book very realistic. What are the chances that a man of wealth and self proclaimed womanizer Chad, falls so quickly for Zoe? Maybe I just didn't find that the characters were developed enough before they were just together and in love.

By the second half of the book, things were starting to flow better with a few twists that make the plot get better. So of the things were a bit predictable, but a few were not.

Overall the cliffhanger at the end leads me to believe I will make sure to read the next book in this series!

I received this book in a exchange for an honest review

At first this book made me a little confused because I didn't see consistency in the way that it was narrated, but after reading more about it, I really like the main characters Chad and Zoe both of them were really funny together. He with all his dominance and she with her smart mouth even tough Chad has no filter on his mouth, both of them made me laugh, but I hope in the next book I would see more consistency about the plot and to be more focus. I'm waiting to read more about it.

Thanks for the opportunity.
