Ava can’t deny the passion she and Guard share but is he her future or just a fling? Ava never thoughts she’d be starting over at such a young age but James wouldn’t want her to be an old widow, all alone. She left New York and relocated to a quaint small town. She’s determined to give a go of it and open a dance studio, even if the local motorcycle gang, Satan’s Pride, makes her uneasy. The first time she met Guard, the leader of Satan’s Pride, he claimed her as his. She thought it was a joke but Guard doesn’t mess around. His kisses light her body on fire but she needs to protect her heart. Can she give in to Guard and discover he’s the man for her? He’s a biker and deals in danger, secrets, and staking claims. Guard’s not letting her go and if she were honest, neither is her heart.

Guard is, without a doubt, one of the best MC romances I’ve ever read. For those who don’t know, MC means motorcycle club. I didn’t know what to expect but having read A.G. Kirkham’s Dark Reign series, I had an inkling I was in for an adventurous read. From the first page to the last, Guard wove a spell over me. The descriptive narration was so deep, so emotional, I connected with the characters right away. Ava’s character is flawed, unsure, timid, but Guard brings out her feistiness. Guard is the ultimate alpha male, and his caveman approach can be a turn-off for most women, but not for Ava. What I enjoyed most about Guard was his balance between his alpha and his charming/sensitive/understanding self. He shows a part of himself to Ava that no one else sees. He instinctively knows what Ava needs and that made him the perfect book boyfriend. The plot moves at a great pace with a full cast of characters to interact with. A.G. Kirkham is a brilliant writer whose characters come to life with descriptive narration, emotional tension, real-life events, and sweeping romance. When I say her stories are unputdownable, I meant it. If you’re a MC romance reader, you’ll love Guard. If you’re a romance reader looking for the next series to binge-read, pick up Guard. Highly recommend!

This was a fabulous book. Also, it was a first read for me and this author. It definitely will not be the last. I started the series with this book and wish I had started up at one. That’s not how it worked out. What a love story. Camille and Chris hi beautiful together. She’s a good soul and so is he. I highly recommend this book. And it’s 🔥🔥🔥

I love a biker who’s a softie for his girl. Guard is so sweet to Ava, he’s immediately smitten with her and makes absolutely no bones about making her his.

Ava has serious loss in her past, and if it weren’t for Guard’s high-handed behaviour, she probably would have remained closed off and unfulfilled for the rest of her life.

If I were confronted by Guard’s pushy attitude, I would be pissed, not enamoured. His first few encounters with Ava were bordering on obnoxious. But he’s probably exactly the push she needed!

As they grow together, it’s clear they’re meant to be, and their two very different worlds actually mesh together well.

There’s nothing Guard wouldn’t do for his Angel, and she becomes an integral part of not only his life, but the lives of the rest of the MC.

I wanted a little more background on Guard than we actually got in this story. I believe he’s fully open with Ava, but we the readers don’t get to see it all. Hoping there’s more to see from this sweet couple in future books in the series!

Loved it and can't wait to read more of Satan's Pride. Guard is the ultimate alpha male and states his claim on Ava at first sight. He doesn't give her an opportunity to shy away and say no, but rather uses his charm, smooth voice and good looks. Ava has known loss, first with the accidental death of her parents and then her husband. She looks for peace in her cottage and the new quiet life she is beginning until she runs into the determination of Guard. Their idyllic future together is threatened by a rival club president and the suspense begins. Great story and the members of Satan's Pride were an added bonus for their protective ways towards each other, Ava and the town.

RECEIVED THIS FREE ARC FOR AN HONEST REVIEW! I've never read this author before so when I saw the delicious book covers, I decided to jump in head first. The story is not as hard core as most MC romances but it still has the alpha male, the MC hierarchy and the drama. The heroine is strong and doesn't let anyone push her around. She loves hard and is completely loyal. I love how the hero clocked her and knew immediately that she belonged with her and told her so. The book was well written and the romance is quick. The sex is hot. There is some violence but not a whole lot. Really great read.

Great opening for a new MC series. The author does a wonderful job with character development of both Guard, the MC President, and his love interest, Ava. Both have had circumstances in their past that make them cautious regarding new relationships, but they are destined to be together. Their story does get resolved in this book without any cliffhanger, while the epilogue introduces the reader to the next book in the series. Ava is starting over after the loss of her husband with plans to open her own dance studio. Guard is the Prez of Satan’s Pride MC with his own emotional damage. From the minute he meets Ava he knows she is his and will make sure everyone knows ii, including her. I absolutely loved Ava and Guard’s characters and their character growth throughout the story. A enjoyable read and one I recommend you add to your TBR.

I am glad I was able to review this book. I have read the second and third, but not the first. Kirkham is excellent at writing an MC book. I loved these characters; the way they interacted, the raw honesty, and how seemingly they all fit together. Kirkham takes time when developing not only her characters, but the interworking a of every book she does. Readers: if you are looking for a new MC author, give her a chance!

Guard is the first book in the Satan's Pride series. It is a phenomenal start to this series. It is an excellent romantic action book. The characters are believable and relatable. The storyline is fluid but a little predictable. However, there is just enough suspense that even though you can guess what will happen, it still impacts the reader when it does.

With steamy romance, drama, action, thrills, suspense, and more, Guard is a very entertaining page-turner.

Ava is starting again after the loss of her husband she decides to settle in a new place an open a dance school, any form of romance is off the cards until MC prez Guard comes along. Guard is dedicated to his club and brothers and when he meets Ava he sees a future for them both. but can they look beyond their pasts for that chance together? this is well written book 1 in the series that shows a lot of promise to come!

After suffering a tremendous loss Ava leaves her home looking for a new beginning.
Guard, the President of Satan's Pride MC has set his sights on Ava, the new, young dance instructor that's come to town. Ava isn't exactly strong and full of confidence but Guard seems to bring out a side of her that quite possibly she never knew existed. They each bring out the best in each other and in this great fast paced story they take us on quite a ride.

This was a beautiful book, which I recommend if you’re looking for a book on motorcycle troupe or mc. It was an easy read but also I book where I didn’t bother skipping pages cause every page was just captivating. Got an arc to read the upcoming book of this series, so thought it would be best to get a taste of the series from the beginning. And it for sure wasn’t disappointing !!! Excited to read the rest of the Satan’s pride men’s book.

Guard is the President of Satan’s Pride MC who has never sought a serious relationship until he sees Ava. The story of the relationship and the challenges of being an MC President make a gripping story.

I was riveted to the story and will be looking for the 2nd book in this series as soon as possible.

So so good!!!!

There is nothing that I don't like about this book. Once I started reading I've never put it down until the end. Guard and Ava's story was written beautifully I thought. I would recommend to all my girlfriends that they need to read this book. Can't wait to read the next in the series.

I think I just found my new favorite author! This is such a beautifully crafted MC trope. From beginning to end I was captivated by the chemistry of Gaurd and Ava. So excited for the rest of the series. This had everything! The big possessive alpha meets the shy dancer and just claims her. Just loved it! Loved all the characters!

I am so glad I finally got the chance to read the first book "Guard" in the Satan's Pride series. I actually started with "Risk" and had to backtrack. I love the series and the love the brotherhood has for each other and their women. Now, after reading where it all began with Guard and Ava, I feel the stories are more complete and look forward to Saint's story.

Not normally a fan of the cave man approach but Guard plays this part well and Ava really did need someone to shake her up. A very enjoyable story with a lovely, loving couple. The start was very romance focused but the grit of the MC comes charging through later. Would recommend.

Ava left NYC to start over. She walks passed the local bikers and their president, Guard announces that she is going to be his. She is thrown by this, but slowly he works his way into her life and heart. Some exciting twists and turns. Liked the ending.

Great book

The main characters were spot on, but felt that the plot let this novel down in a big way... i would read more in the series though.
