Maven's life revolves around two things, his family and sex. Convicted not only delivers the story of Maven, but also of his mother, father, brother, and the many more members of his family who all brings along plenty of drama. The newest member of Maven's already big family is Kam. Kam is an ex-convict with a troubled past, jaw dropping presence, and is the mentee of Maven's father. Things are bound to get interesting when Kam moves into the room directly beside Maven's.
The book wasn't bad it just didn't focus on Maven and Kam as much I would like. They even stated that they were brothers and that they didn't want a relationship that it wasn't in their best interest, so them ending up together kissing was poor tasting, in my opinion. I found it sad that Maven dad that took care of him, was the only one who didn't know his son was gay and still doesn't know. A lot of the story focuses on Maven family drama more than Kam. There's a lot of side characters that are to maven development more than kam. And tbh Maven was toxic dumb horny man, and I don't blame him because he is young but damn he really tries to fuck almost everyone. I do think the title and book cover is misleading. Kam was really barely in the story, and he's the hook for this book. But overall, if what a quick read with lots of blk men having sex, this is it. Now I wonder how Maven and Kam relationship going to work because they are both strict tops. 🤔
