Reading Journal: For Elementary Schoolers

Think of this journal as a sort of scrapbook; a place to collect memories of the stories you're encountering. We designed the pages so that they're fun and creative. You'll think about character, examine theme, and analyze words, but you'll do it with markers and imagination! Most of all, your personality will shine throughout this book so that years from now you could say, "That's who I was and this is what I thought of the stories I read back then." There's no wrong way to work on this journal. We have a Reading Log you can fill out as you go, there's a Scavenger Hunt for a library or bookstore, we even have a scrapbook activity! But there's no order you have to complete these exercises in, no grading, no teachers looking over your shoulder. It's all for the love of reading. Enjoy!
