From the small town of Cedar Bay, Oregon to Italy, Cuba, and points in between, no matter where she is, Kelly can't help but be involved in solving murder mysteries. She has some help from Sheriff Mike, her dogs, and a Cuban cat. If you like food, mouth-watering recipes, and fast-paced page-turners, this is the series for you.
All were good but you got facts about dog shows in last story really wrong
Not as good as northwest Pacific series expect ones with Al and read. This was good set of books until trouble at kennel was bad . Author knows nothing about dog shows and maybe huge error. Fact most show dogs are First and foremost pets!!!!!!!!!! Most of entries of at dogs are owner handlers from junior handlers to senior citizens we all competite with dogs in ring with professional handlers . Put bulls are not and register so you will never see one at Westminster show. Basic understanding of how dog work was was way off but the comment about show dogs not getting live and be pets is big bunch of animal rights crap most show dogs are spoiled pamper pets if they are not happy they don't show well. the getting basic wrong of dog works thinking winning best of breed is big deal unless it at speciality or huge entry of ranked dogs which ranking for breed standing goes by number of dogs for that year that have been defeated in that breed only the best of breed winner for each show gets to counts the number of that breed for total number of defeated dogs . That no big deal most non dog show get that wrong . Just thinking show dogs are not pets is wrong . We get enough negativity from adopt don't shop people have to watch out for pets members poisoning or turning out dogs lose at shows ,
I was a little disappointed in this series as I was disappointed in the two main characters and their relationship. In other series by this author, the characters were my favorite part. My reaction to Kelly and Mike was that they reacted to each other in a less than mature manner, her telling ' white' lies and him not accepting her for who she is.
Good stories but I probably should not have binge read the series as they began to seem repetitive. Also not a fan of the attitude “the end justifies the means” even if the actions weren’t that bad and turned out okay in the end.
Overall good cozies - a bit too perfect and sweet for my taste. I did really like the Cuba story Though! Thank you Ms Harman for the hours of entertainment.
This is a collection of the first 9 books in the Cedar Bay series. I truly enjoyed reading these books. It's nice to have them one after the other so you are not off looking for the next one in line.
I am definitely a fan of cozy mysteries and being able to read these one after another was absolutely fantastic. I would definitely recommend this series and plan to pick up on it where this collection left off.
I started this series on audible getting them free for an honest unbiased review and I liked the series so much I didn't want to wait for each audio release. This series is part of kindle unlimited so got to take my time and enjoy. I love the main character Kelly sheriff Mike's wife. She's the perfect woman sleuth and with her dogs for protection it makes for a better story. Mike doesn't like her getting involved in his cases but information just seems to fall in her lap. Each story is great and they are stand alone and if y'all like cooking the recipes are provided at the end of each story as Kelly owns a coffee shop and loves cooking.
Kindle Unlimited or freebie day depending, Liz Lucas Cozy Mystery Read these a bit back and remember a great deal of what I read {not titles so yeah problem} but just seems as if there really is nothing new under the sun type thing, maybe too many cozies, something, but these were not as good as I remembered. The other 3 set, Blue Coyote Series was too disjointed with too many people/viewpoints and things going on. Tea Party Teddy was gross.
Liz Lucas Mystery, Blue Coyote set, lost of Cozy Bay mysteries, Tea Party Teddy, they all suffer from the same issues as does Tea Party Teddy {2 at this time which was basically unbearable to read and with no real redeeming features}, others of the same type.
