The Anti-Matter Chronicles #5

Reset: The Gray-Matter Chronicles Book 2

Rate this book
Re-edited in 2019. Imagine if you could reach into your past to fix one small mistake…almost. However, when the lessons learned from history are lost, it has a tendency to repeat itself. Thus, even though history has been changed, it has not been. So when a portal kidnaps your children, and you can’t tell the police; what do you do? You Pray! And that is what Lauren did after her arrest. With insufficient evidence and released from jail, those who would believe her gather to provide her husband Ryan, her brother Logan, and friends Eric and John, who had all returned from the magical lands of Calicon four years earlier. The place she desperately needed to get back to—because that was where her triplets were presently located. Just as the abduction had been unanticipated, so was their exit from this world, which also caught Steve, the arresting detective, by surprise. Once in the enchanted lands, greeted by Gayne, a new plague of mysteries waits for them, but so do magic, friends, and allies. Then in a land filled with surprises so amazing, it will yield the greatest ones yet, and the promise of hope. They begin to plan, helping to rebirth the divine entity of Mother, and start to unravel the puzzles, but in a land tainted with so many mysteries, one will answer their prayers, gifting them both the vision they seek, and a forewarning of what is to happen.

Hold your breath anticipation!!!

I'm on the edge of my seat, chewing my fingernails. Knowing how the last book ended I'm scared for the heros. My heart is beating fast, now how can I sleep? The magic is coming alive, and hopefully, the evil will be destroyed. Can't wait to get started with book 6!

Only my opinion

Tisk,! Tisk.! Shame on you. The previous books were great. This was only a repeat. If you can't come up with new ideas don't write.I am very disappointed. Hope you got your muse back on the next books.

Continuing Saga

It's hard to believe Mr Thomas continues to capture our imagination and interest. You know a book (and series) is good when you can't wait to start the next installment

Meet the new boss-same as the old boss! Somehow, the group of students, Lauren, Ryan, Logan, Eric and John with the Detective Steve have shifted back in time so that it is just a few years into the peaceful Darkpaye invasion of Calicon and are reunited with Zach, Gayne and Mirtza. Darkpaye has yet to solidify and destroy the economy and make Mother and her Earth Matter Priestesses a thing of the past. Still frantically searching for her lost triplets. The dwarves of Ironhouse are beset with monsters, unrest among them, unrest among the elves, and to top it off, Mother is unable to assist Lauren and company with magic as she did before but she, unlike in "Revenge" has not perished from the land!.

From Oveture to Passage to Piece to Outro. Thomas conducts a symphony in his the Libretto with a sweeping allegretto, a little lively, moderately fast pace building to a Crescendo of a vivid, graphic prose staying with the growth and develpment of his characters to the point of being in their shoes and feeling thei joy and loss. Well worth a second look

Strange things

Good story line but a lot of repetition from the first book. Characters are realistic and easy to follow. Can't wait to read the next one.
