This Saga Finishes a Tale, but Not the Story
Edmondson's imaginative tale of swords, sorcery, time travel, space travel, alien military conflict and magic continues on from this particular tale. This trilogy has ended, but it is obvious the main story of himan/alien and human conflict is meant to continue.
Several humans from a current day Earth transcend time and space to arrive at a strange future, where remnants of humanity have fled to another star. Humanity is pursued by evil spiderlike aliens with a taste for human flesh. The alien spider-like creatures wield their own form of magic, in addition to their natural body armor. Their thick carapaces foil most human weapons. Each is capable of killing numerous humans before being killed. Survival for humanity depends on unifying the various tribes and kingdoms. Survival also depends on a very unlikely set of human heroes snatched from their own place and time. Can they master unexpected gifts and skills? In time to help save the remnants of the human race?
By this final volume, readers understand most of the task set forth for these twentieth century people, but the question remains to be seen in this volume: can they do what needs to be done?
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, AND I LOOK FORWARD TO READING MORE OF THE SAGA OF THE SEVEN STARS!
