Their first meeting is very ridiculous. I mean its exciting and all but its borderline rape and so weird how she responded so suddenly without a second thought.

The nicknames was so over the top. Every single sentence has it and its very irritating.
This nickname was pretty cute though.
Jared’s Avenger

I am still intrigued with the other brothers. So onto Book 2 I go.

Goodish read

Well what to say? Good storyline and plot and love a strong alpha man with a sense of humour. But, what possessed the author to portray the lead female as a barbie beach babe with big boobs etc and very little grey matter. Oh and she was a rookie cop who got caught twice and was then rescued by the big alpha men. Swoon, not. She spoilt the story hence fewer stars. No a keeper.

Jared

One thing that drove me crazy. Too many aphorisms. At least three on every page when the police chief talked.

I also don't think "Barbie" was trained properly to be out in the field . Other than that a cute book.

I found this hard to rate. While I enjoyed the story, I felt there wasn’t much between the 2 main characters. They barely saw one another. You didn’t even get much of them together in the epilogue.

This is one of my favorites in the set. Officer Hailey Michels has been hired by Jake Justice at the Duluth Police Department. She is a rookie out on her first mission and has a chance to bring down a member of the Dragon’s Curse gang. She was was a group of fellow officers during a storm in the woods, but got separated from the group and lost. She is leaning against a tree trying to get her bearings when she sees a tattooed member of the gang. She pulls out her gun and then her foot gets caught and she tumbles down an embankment. The gang member comes after her and jumps her. She fights him, but in the process she also gets excited with his body all over her. She is disgusted with herself from feeling that way. Just when she thinks thing can’t get worse, her commander, Jake Justice, finds her and tells the guy to get off his officer. The gang member is Jake’s brother, Jared, who has infiltrated the gang and is a DEA agent. You need to read the book to see what happens.

Jared is all kinds of sexy and embarrasses Hailey by making fun of her and talking about some of the things he would like to do with her body. She is blessed to be a blond with a super figure. Of course his first comment is what Barbie from California is doing in Minnesota playing at being a cop. Unfortunately she also hurt her ankle when she fell down the embankment. Luckily she has all kinds of heroes helping her. You can’t help but love the tough, handsome, cops in the story. I love Taylor Lee’s writing and this short book does not disappoint me. I can’t wait for the next book in the series. I was given this book for an honest review.

Nothing New Here

This story was BORING and disappointing. The title should have been Jared's Speech. All you read was Jared's dialogue that rambles on. The dialogue I am certain was just taken from other Taylor Lee books. I know I read the same word in the same cadence and vernacular before. I usually love Ms. Lee's books but there was no passion or storyline to speak of. Unless you liked Jared's passion for himself. This is another writer's ploy to have you purchase multiple books because they write these short stories to try and hook you. Well this one is so poorly done I am not taking the bait.

This was a very quick read. I have read many of Taylor Lee's books and have enjoyed the strong, independent, accomplished, competent female leads and their alpha male counterparts. I have enjoyed the romantic suspense.

Jared was a much different book. I was surprised that the female character, Hilary seemed to be such a wuss. Although she was a rookie cop, she was still a cop. Even when she had her big moment, it didn't seem authentic. Hillary came across as weak and incompetent. Definitely not strong and independent.

She and Jared lusted after each other, but there was never any consummation. The story could have been longer for me. It wasn't up to the writer's usual standards. Not a bad book by any means. It just wasn't enough. Hopefully, the other Justice brothers books will be longer.

This is the start of a series, although it is only a novella length it's still worth the 5stars because it has everything you could want in a book. Super speed paced action, danger and smoking hot sex.
Officer Hailey Michels is the rookie of the squad. She has battled to get anyone to take her seriously on the job because of her looks. Her commander is prepared to give her a chance with a serious assignment.
Jared Justice works undercover for the DEA. His latest job is in his home town where his brother is the police commander. Jared has to set up a deal with the local MC gang and a big crime organisation.
I can't wait to read the next book in the series. Those are some sexy brothers.

I absolutely loved it!!! Once I started reading I couldn't put it down. The characters are great and engaging from the very beginning. It's characters that you can expect from Taylor Lee and I really enjoyed them. The sex is explicit and plenty of action in this short story. This is a start to a new series for her so you won't have any problem jumping in and I highly recommend it. It's a pretty quick read but well worth it! I can't wait to read the rest of the books in this series.
This was previously published in the Summer Heat: Love on Fire boxed set, just in case it sounds familiar and you aren't sure if you've read it or not.If not, you should pick it up!

Awesome contemporary law enforcement romance. Out of the four Justice boys Jared being the youngest managed to be the wildest. Now he is undercover in a violent biker gang to try to help local police, his brother, cut down drug trade and violent crimes. Hailey is a rookie police officer that didn't exactly make a good first impression on Jared. The minute they met sparks flew. Unfortunately Hailey ended in over her head. The book contains intrigue, suspense, and is a standalone novella with a HEA. Readers never know what's coming next in Ms Lee's books. I look forward to reading more of Ms Lee's in the future. This book is also contained in the 16 book set: Summer Heat.

Another great series has started with Jared. He is cocky, arrogant and dominant and he always gets what he wants. But will Hayley actually fall for his charms, the rookie police woman. Story keeps you gripped from cover to cover. Only thing I would like to see more of is the chemistry between the 2 main characters.

3.5

Jared was definitely hot, as was his brother, Jake. Hailey, on the other hand, was exactly what everyone labeled her, a Barbie. She seemed to have good intentions, but she squealed, squeaked, and cried through most of the book. She didn't act like a trained police officer at all, even for a rookie. I plan to check out book two because I like the author and I'm hoping the next heroine will have a bit more backbone and sense.

Can't believe this is Taylor Lee's writing

Disappointed from beginning to end. Thankfully it was short. The dialogue in general, the condescending way the Justice brothers spoke to the female mc, referring to it as teasing, etc, etc. It just never got better. I've read & loved most of Lee's work but this series just isn't for me.

This was a really good read with interesting characters, a good premise and some nice romance albeit instalove. My only complaint is that they need to be longer .
