VERY HOT BUT LOOSES IT'S GRIP ON REALITY
This is a story about a loving, married couple who communicate.
They each have events in their past that push them to be excited by a kink. They are ‘complimentary’ to each others fantasies.
Volume one, explores the relationship and how they set about exploring their kinks. It is an excellent stand-alone. The conflict resolves to a loving ending.
Volume two is where they go off the rails. His pain and her attitude toward it, push them further apart.
Volume three is the least realistic. How they Resolve their games becomes very exciting, but this is a study on porn. It’s very erotic but the reality is no longer here.
There are several times in this set, that either the wife, recognizing what she’s doing to hubby, would try to empathize,.. She doesn’t, she just torments him further. Bill, recognizes that his relationship with her is circling the drain and should pull the plug. Especially when she flies to the coast and leaves her rings behind. After all the lovers, and the tormenting, even a man as twisted as he’s become, would have threatened to burn it all down. Using the evidence she and lovers have provided, to threaten to end everything, and take away the kids.
The relationship becomes a sham and the ending is a farce.
Overall, it’s a very good story. An enormous amount of heat, but the ‘love’ and ‘honesty’ becomes a joke.
It becomes porn, not an erotic story.
Your respect for the couple starts to degrade with Brian in Volume 2. Both relinquish control to the other. By doing this they absolve themselves of the consequences. They deflect it to the other spouse.
I think this series might have been better, with clearer understanding about the motives if it had been told from both Points of view. With just Bill's it leaves too much of Terri unanswered.
The sex is excellent, as is the choreography.
The writing is superb, It's nearly impossible to put down.
My disappointment is in the plot as it starts to fall apart as it expands in volume 2. It does not recover.
