Absolutely loved this book. I was way off on what the true story of the Muse and was pleasantly surprising by the ending. I didn't see it coming! What an awesome series 👏
This series is among my favourites. Another really really good book from this series. Walt is so so awesome. I love the way he and Danielle interact with each other.
4.5 Stars... This one had some twists and turns leading the reader in one direction only to shove them the other way... The ending was a bit twisted as well; interested to see if that storyline gets revisited... Another enjoyable mystery with these memorable characters.
Another fun and clever story. Love the characters and ghosts. Hillary and her muse, Antone Paul, partner to encourage Danielle to find out if he murdered Melissa and help him pass. Along the way they help capture Barron Huxley who is wanted by the FBI for cheating homeowners. Danielle and Walt also helped Antone find out that he did not kill Mellissa. Barron had them both killed because Antone was getting too close to his defrauding schemes and would soon expose him. Sounds a bit convoluted but it was put together really well.

When Fredrickson port bank manager dies by falling of the pier at first everyone thinks it was an accident until the the police realize that it was murder. But who would want to kill Steve? Well maybe his mistress he had just dumped, or his ex-buisness Lardner who was going to be approached by the FBI to help bring him down? His wife didn't know about the mistress so she had no motive. Who is the strange ghost who has shown up in town? And why does the mystery writer who died in sleep at Danielle's B & B refuse to move on? So many questions, to find the answers you will have to read this, the tenth book in the exciting series Haunting Danielle by Bobbi Holmes. Ms Holmes is a excellent storyteller, whose ongoing storyline is fascinating. The ghost who lives in Dani's B & B is almost the perfect man except for one small problem, he's been dead for almost 100 years. The characters in the story are believable and sympathetic, you will fall in luv with them all. Highly recommended.
These are getting worse and worse. Luckily, they’re free with my Audible subscription so I’m not devastated.
There are lots of things that irk. The main character, the dialogue and the fact that everything is over explained and questioned by a character so the reader never has to question anything themselves. The relationships never amounting to anything because it’s better for this type of book to stay neutral is one too.
There’s not much coziness either. It’s in a small town and there’s a cat, but that’s about it.
It’s absolutely time for Walt to go. It’s also time for a new editor. There were so many repetitive phrases. And Walt getting physical with people to “protect” Danielle is ridiculous. And the hints at ghost sex or ghost intimacy 🙄 No. just. Stop.
I'm definitely become addicted to this series and the fact that I have so many more to devour, just makes me want to dance with glee.
This above quote just had my heart, as we do get that Heather is behaving unusually but Danielle I absolutely admire that woman.
So after that exciting twist in this previous book, I was oh so curious, wanting to know more about this mysterious muse that the famous mystery writer, Hilary kept on seeing in her dream and the same one, who took her to actual crime scenes.
Danielle realises that a potential dangerous spirit is out in friedrickport and somehow she has to find out his story before harms comes about.
The starting of the book grabs you so strongly with the way it's written that I was wide-eyed when you find out what's happened.
There's something that the spirit with the red bow tie wants and he's searching for someone who can help him out and it would have been easy for Danielle but the fact is that she knows he's the same spirit who's probably offed a woman.
Once again, we have Danielle and Walt, Lily, Ian, Chris & Heather too along with our cop gang doing their own bit and finding and piecing together clues.
There's a new entrant on the scene and Mr. Huxley, is such a nosey bee and something is very fishy about him. But the way he behaves is so annoying, thinking anything he thinks is his, especially with the way he even hits on Danielle.
Also, I have to mention how incredible Romy Nordlinger has been as the narrator of this series and I seriously can't even imagine listening without her reading these books.
As we have two mysteries in this one to solve, it was interesting to see how they were tangled together in terms of what happened a decade ago and also how it connects to other people.
But that ending twist.. With things not all revealed.. I loved it. It is debatable but I loved that outcome because some truths do remain hidden but then maybe it's better that way. I really liked that.
I seriously can't have enough of this series. I'm like I need freaking more of these delicious mysteries with my favorite gang of people especially Danielle and Walt. Loved loved this one. ♥️♥️♥️♥️
Wow, can't believe I've read 10 of these already! I enjoy the series. In this one, the bank manager is killed, and the author and her muse from the previous book are involved in solving the murder. Danielle is still not falling for Chris. I wonder if that issue will ever be resolved. I'm just glad that the who "Earthbound spirits" saga is over, even though it still gets a brief mention as previous cases are brought up.
The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because the plot is pretty formulaic. The characters change except for the main ones, but the plot is pretty predictable. I pretty much knew who the murderer was, but it was still an enjoyable book and it gives me something interesting to listen to on the commute to and from work.
I enjoyed the various murder mystery stories. I enjoyed the twist at the end for one of the murders and am happy with the way it was left. But it seems a little crazy that all of sudden this small town becomes full of deaths/murders in less than a year since Danielle arrived.
What I continue to dislike is the romantic tension between Walt & Danielle; it's just creepy and useless. The author could have had the ghost act more as a father figure instead of a potential love interest and it would have made the entire series better. Danielle could then focus 100% on her real life romantic life and it would be so much better.
This closes the mystery on the wondering ghost muse and boy it's good. Danielle has her work cut out for her in this one. This murder mystery has a lot of players and years of secrets. Walt displays some major ghost magic to save Danielle. The end is a shocker. This is a must read in this series.
I would recommend this book to everyone. The whole series. She is creative an makes you think of many possibilities. The setting are beautiful an the trade of romance is so understated. I have them as ebooks. But I want the series in real live paper to touch an smell. An read over an over
Wow! I didn't see the ending coming. I really thought the person suspected did it and was surprised at the end. Love these characters still and the ghost Antone (?) turned out differently than expected based on previous book. They need to let Ian in on what's going on. It's not fair to him.
A fun read. As always, it's surprising how many murders happen in this small town, pretty soon we'll run out of people, but I guess all these job vacancies will bring in new characters. It's also fun how the new characters overlap in regards to who knows who and how. I look forward to reading the rest of the series.
There might have been some small inconsistencies between characters from the previous book to this one, but the plot was great, hints were given perfectly to make you wonder or think you knew what was going on, then more info made you think something else all without being too obvious and the conclusion made sense and was satisfying. One of my favorite so far.
I have submitted this review after listening to the audiobook of this title. (Audible Membership)
This episode is packed with Ghosts, each trying to make sense in the world they find themselves in. Thanks to Danielle's ability to interact, a couple were able to deal with their unresolved issues, therefore allowing them to move on.
SO much happened in this novel. Danielle not only juggled multiple ghosts but a cold case and new murder. The cold case was the only murder wrapped up with a valid arrest, but the new murder has a big twist at the very end! I’m curious if the true murderer will be found within this series, or if the author just moves on.

Oooooooookay! I think this is a new favorite of mine. A little different from the others, and yet, this was so much fun! Especially that mind-blowing twist at the end! Now it's time for the next book I have lined up in my Libby until the next one comes up haha. This is one of those series right now I'm okay with listening back-to-back because they're so good!
4⭐️ The end was so fun! I think the cops were a little better in this book but it might because ghost girl wasn’t involved as much with their initial investigation so they had to work harder! But yet once more, she is the one that solved the crime. Also the twist at the end. That was sexy! Love to see women in male fields!
Excellent story! Some of the characters have been developed even more in this book. Bobbi Holmes is a very good author who gives you a complex mystery to try to solve with characters who are realistic and interesting. She surprised me with the ending and with the way she revealed who the killer was. I love this series!
5 🌟 I started this one on audiobook back in March but I wasn’t vibing with it. I picked it up again physically (thank you cousin!) and really enjoyed it. I couldn’t put it down. Since it had been awhile since I read the one before this, it took me a minute to remember what happened because it picks up where the last one leaves off. I’m excited to dive into this series again.
These books are so darned good that I will have to go into reab if this author retires. The amount and type of detail is astonishing and gives the reader the sense of being an unnoticed spirit sharing in everything.
Believable situations. Wonderfully written fantastic characters and there interactions. Unfortunately written in a way that your knees to read them in order to understand some actions or statements
