"A spectacular paranormal saga packed full of magic and sprinkled with teenage romance. A stunningly good read."
--A ‘Wishing Shelf’ Book Review

So close to death that he could probably taste it, Connor set his gaze on his hidden audience. At a moment when most prisoners would lash out in panic, he stared down his tormentors. Behind that stormy, warring face was a tenderness that only I knew. A devotion that ran so deep, he had risked everything to search for me beyond the boundaries of time.

Now, his life was in my hands.

As Echo tries to piece her life together after the devastating separation from her soulmate, she finds herself in a cat-and-mouse game with bewitching criminals whose paranormal terrorism threatens to take over her city.

When a frightening turn of events puts Connor's life at risk, Echo must unveil the depths of her power or lose him forever.

Echo Into Darkness is a story of power, passion and deceit that will keep you turning pages and leave you breathless.

“All I knew for certain was that my gifts – the telekinesis, the levitation, the whole crazy lot of it – put me in serious danger.”

This was a YA sci-fi/fantasy sequel.

Echo was an okay character and she did seem to cope well with her separation from Connor, and even considered dating again.

The storyline in this was about Echo trying to track down an organisation called the Mutila, who found kids with supernatural gifts and then used them to their own advantage. We also had a surprising character turning up in Echo’s life, and a bit of romance. The romance for me was a little odd though, as I just kept expecting Connor to turn up, so Echo kissing someone else seemed a little wrong. There was quite a bit of action in this book, but the book did begin to feel a bit long after the half-way mark, and I began to lose interest a bit.

The ending to this was okay and left us with an idea of what to expect in the next book.

(I received a copy from the author, In exchange for an honest review.)

The main character in this annoyed me a few times, But she was alright.

There were times where I felt a bit bored while reading this, and it dragged in areas because of it. Due to that, it wasn't a book I could love, but it was an okay read.

Overall, An okay sequel.

Thank you Skye Genaro for the opportunity to read your book. This was an okay read. I thought the story was boring at times, which made me feel frustrated as I really just wanted to know when the interesting things were going to start. I also felt that the story dragged. I thought Echo was an okay character in this book. She did annoy me sometimes, but overall her character was good enough. I can't wait to read the third book. Overall, a good read.

Skye Genaro has done it again. She has written a book that sucks you in from page one right through to the very last page & leaves you hating yourself for reading it much too fast. This book was amazing!!! Echo is trying to put her life back together after she is forced back through the portal to her own time & separated from Connor. Echo starts to piece together information about the faction & the danger it poses to her. Enter Jaxon, who swears he is trying to help Echo learn more about this society who is luring in people with supernatural abilities to do their dirty work. Echo feels that Jaxon is hiding something & that he has secrets of his own. What Echo is to discover shocks her to the core, but she knows she must learn to deal with her abilities & the imminent danger to keep herself safe & those she loves.
This book was jam packed with action. It starts off right from where the last book ended & it builds with such ferocity. The story just continues to build until the very end & then leaves you wanting more. Once again I am left saying "I cannot wait for the next book to come out". I hope that these books become a series of movies or a TV show. That would be super!!!!!
Received book from author in exchange for honest review. Truthfully I would have definitely paid for this book. I freaking loved it :)

The book in general was great. There was definitely more action going on here, and I'm sucking it all up like a sponge because I just love action and adventure.

The writing was good, and I felt like the plot was too. It was exciting and deceiving because I thought that Jaxon was really a good person. The hints were there, but I didn't really take much notice of it, and when they revealed everything, everything made much more sense.

Echo was really irritating in the first parts. She was so lovesick over Connor that it sickens me because it's not like her entire life revolves around him. And not just that but she made some stupid actions as well. So yeah, I'm not a fan of hers in this book. She was so selfish and bratty.

But the last few chapters made up for it. This was the part that I was talking about in the first paragraph. The action-filled parts. I was anticipating what would happen next, and it was definitely better than the first half of the book. I couldn't put it down for long, and I breezed right through it.

CATCHY QUOTE
‘A spectacular paranormal saga packed full of magic and sprinkled with teenage romance. A stunningly good read.’ A ‘Wishing Shelf’ Book Review

REVIEW
To begin with, let me just say I loved this book from the first page to the very last. So much so, I am now re-reading Echo Across Time, the first book in the saga. Echo Into Darkness is packed full of twists and turns; and the central characters, Echo, Connor and, in this book, a secretive sort of fellow by the name of Jaxon, are fully developed and highly interesting.
So, what’s the plot. Well, Echo and Connor have been separated and Echo is trying to ‘move on’. But danger looms with the sunken-cheeked Jaxon promising to help her uncover a terrible plot. This book pulls you in from the very beginning and the author excels in her ability to keep the reader guessing. There’s nothing worse than a predictable plot; thankfully the author knows this and seems determined to shock the reader as often as possible.
The writing style is pretty fast-paced and flowery prose are, thankfully, kept to a minimum. However, in the first half of the book, the author works hard to describe character and setting in an interesting way. Take her description of Jaxon: His cheeks were sunken and his jawline more defined than I remembered, like he had missed a lot of meals recently. His oversized sweatshirt and jeans smelled like a burning trash heap. And still, I grabbed him in a hug.
But it’s the second half of the story where the author really excels, providing the teenage reader with a non-stop adventure of paranormal magic. In fact, so much happens, I did not put the story down for three hours; and, at the end of it, I was almost as exhausted as the characters.
I think it’s important in books of this nature that the two central characters, Echo and Connor, be strong and brave but also ‘human’. For example, in Twilight, Bella’s terrible at sport and clumsy. But readers can relate to her and, accordingly, they enjoy her company. In Echo into Darkness, Echo has her problems too. But, accordingly, she seems ‘real’ and readers can relate to her too.
I always like to end with ‘the paragraph I enjoyed best’. Well, how’s this for a belter: “Oh, it’s you,” she said, my appearance obviously pushing her day into the unbearable zone. Her eyes were rimmed with red like she had been crying. Raquelle never cried, not even when her dog died, so right away I assumed the worst.
Love it!

( I received a digital copy of this book. Thanks to Skye Genaro!!)

This one was way better than the last book. While I enjoyed reading the last book, this book just got me hooked up to it. I just couldn't keep it down. This is one of the best books I've read.

In the last book I liked the characters and thought they were adorable. But I fallen in love with Echo now after reading this one. The way she handled all the stuff....that was just mind blowing!!!

The paranormal powers that she has are so cool. She seems to have all of them...like all the awesome things we could think of. I really appreciate her determination and the way she stood tall against the Mutila. . She has become a favourite of mine. The other characters too were pretty good. The author has done some great work on them. The plotting was amazing. I loved the fight and adventure. Some parts were very intense and thrilling. And after this I'm desperate to read the next book. I highly recommend it!!

I got this book for free, Thanks to R2R from Skye Genaro. The Sequel of the award-winning Echo Across Time.

The story has a great plot for me(Opinion). I liked the outcome of the ending of This one.

Since I haven't read the First (Across Time), I still liked the story, every part was really interesting, the way the story goes is as expected but still it was really good. I loved the way how the character thinks, and the way it comes with modern humor. And with some Romance, (I really though Jaxon was good). I was seriously betting on him.

Im really Interested in reading Echo Across Time, so I'm thinking of buying it. Keep up the good work, and ill buy the Physical Books, Im currently reading "Echo Into the Light" Thanks to Skye Genaro for giving R2R. Sorry this came out late. School work.
