King Benjamin was born Ronny Jackson Jr. on the east side of Detroit Michigan. Growing up his love for writing was at first channeled into writing rap songs and short poems. After succumbing to teen peer pressure and the despair of poverty KB, as most call him, would find himself constantly in trouble with the law at a very young age. It wasn’t until his third incarceration that he decided to change his life for the better. Guided by a higher power he discovered his love for literature and also his calling. He would go on to pen four novels in eighteen months before his release. Upon release King Benjamin started his own publishing company and released his debut bestselling novel Cry Baby. To date King has several published bestselling novels and short stories and his following continues to grow rapidly.
The storyline was good but the editing, if any, was not. Extra words, missing words, bad grammar and more, made for a difficult read. I almost gave up on this book several times and it took longer than normal for me to get through this. I wanted to know if Tony and Nicole ever got to their happy place, so I continued this ride. One good thing about this book is that it is a stand alone. I wish the writing had been stronger. Not something I would recommend.
That was deep. It wasn't what I expected. It was way better. I felt like Tony was already mentally messed up in the beginning due to the death of his parents. He probably felt that having a family would give him the security he was used to having when he was younger and they were alive. He shouldn't have gotten married because he was being deceitful from the beginning of his relationship with Nicole. Tony brought all this drama on himself but he got exactly what he deserved. The way he treated Nicole was inexcusable and selfish. Had he told her about his son, Nicole probably would've just left him anyway and he could've rode off with Brittany and the baby. I really enjoyed this book because it was unpredictable, and full of drama.
King Benjamin you pulled out all the stops in this book. Anthony was a good guy turned bad guy. Nicole was not so innocent either, but her back was against the wall.
This was a great, I mean a really great story. Was finished quickly. Being deceitful caused so many issues among couples who found a love connection. Being deceived by your spouse make you do crazy things to cover your hurt, but in the end you've hurt yourself more. This would have been a 5 star but there were too many errors.
Speechless! Another five star read from my fav author. King, you did it with this book. The storyline was great and very realistic. The situations that were happening is something people can relate to. I was hoping both Tony and Dre got it together in the end. Great read!!
