I was given an advanced copy by the author but not just for a review, she is honestly too kind.
It's taken me awhile to write this review but "Fallen" has stayed with me throughout my own life's journey. I came back to the book today and skimmed through it, went over my notes and still was in awe of A.J.Messenger's skill at portraying this kind of relationship. Alexander, a guardian angel and Declan, a sprite with some awesome powers that we're beginning to see develop, but also a mortal girl. I feel there's an elegance to the writing. Yes, the story has the bad guy and all that he brings with him but as I believe "Light always overcomes Darkness" Declan has two wonderful friends, Finn and Liz and I love how developed the characters are, especially Finn.
A.J. has created a beautiful world and I see it through Declan's eyes. I admire her ability to write about things that relationships endure, especially teenage relationships. Alexander always has a plan and he does pay attention to many details. When the time for him and Declan to make love, he was a pure angel in love. The author didn't make anything feel bad when it came to the intensity of the main character's relationship. It was all pure and decent. I love how Declan and her mom went down to the beach every year on the date of her father's death. I love the way they talk to him and cleanse their soul at the beach~That's what it feels like to me. I'm not giving away too much, I hope, but I'm anxious to read "Revelation" and absorb it fully. There's a lot to come if Declan's memories of her father's guidance come to light and I do believe they will be true. Thank you A.J.Messenger for sharing this amazing series, it has helped me in my own faith in ways that have lifted my heart and spirit.
