About the author

Ann Gimpel is a USA Today bestselling fantasy and romance author. She's also a clinical psychologist with a Jungian bent. Avocations include mountaineering, skiing, wilderness photography and, of course, writing. A lifelong aficionado of the unusual, she began writing speculative fiction a few years ago. I am reviewing – Her Dragon’s Heart by Julia Mills which I purchased some time back.
In this story, we get the youngest of the guards Jace and his soon to be mate Melanie. Well that is not happening so fast as Melanie has been kidnapped. Melanie has hidden her magic for many years but now her grandfather the King of Dark Magic and of witches has found her and had her brought to him. Now it’s up to the Dragon Guard men to save her. Melanie and Jace already have a very strong bond and they are not even mated yet so it is with hope this bond will help the guard find her. Another fantastic book in this series.

This collection is wonderful, and it's worth far more than the modest price. The books are delightful in every way and make one understand why the paranormal romance is so popular for so long. I have to admit that I was totally surprised that the stories still captivated me. I'm happy I found them as fantastic, exciting, creative and well written. The stories are still compelling plus I love the romance in each. They have action, adventure and each one thrilled me. I love dragons and where men were men and women were glad of it. The novels have a strong romantic plot. After I'd read the first book in this collection, I can't wait for the next book to read that written by these authors.

I really enjoyed reading this collection of books . I'm a hopeless romantic and these books gave me romance and so much more. This is a Fantastic series it's scorching hot, sexy, it has violence and sassy attitudes. The Heroines are BBW with Alpha males that wants to claim their mates. If this is not the kind of stuff you like to read, skip this book. However, if you're a fan of all things naughty, sexual tension, action and humor, this is perfect for you. Enjoy! This is a great book to add to your TBR list. I'm so excited about reading the next book in this series. I was given a copy to give my honest opinion in a review. I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone. It needs to be on your must read list.

If you believe in love with the world of paranormal romance, the possibilities are endless and fascinating!

Everyone is cursed and only the chosen one can help break it for all involved. With the help of each other they find a way to beat evil at its own game.

What I loved the most was after I finished one story & could start something totally different and come back & fall in love all over again. This book has hours and hours of stories about dragons. Those beautiful mythical beings. Dragon Maid by Ann Gimpel is about two dragons Tarika and Kheladin, their mages, Britta and Lachlan,and Jonathan and Maggie their mates, along with several powerful witches have to fight a scheming Celt God who loves misery and destruction, and is trying to ruin Earth. During their jouney, Jonathan learns more about his past, and his magical abilities and finds his mate. The bond and love between the mages and their dragons and their mates is so powerful. I loved these characters. Cupid's Curse by Rebekah Ganiere is about Raine, a fae, who was kicked out by her parents because of her lack of magic, and her lover, weretiger Jordan. Both have surmounted many obstacles to be together. Jordan's pack doesn't condone his relationship with a fae, and all of the fae torment and hurt Raine. I felt so sorry for her, she was rejected and betrayed by people she loved. She has made a life for herself but they won't let her be. Hopefully she and Jordan can find a way to stay together and fight the ones trying to break them up.I loved her little dragon Sam. He is so funny and charmimg. Claiming His Prize By Ellis Leigh is About Jane. She is a doctor to wolf shifter who runs fights between shifters. He controls her and has put her in harms way. His new dragon fighter is ruthless and has claimed Jane. He hurts her. But Jane loves another dragon named Piers and he loves her. The pain and agony Jane has endured for years in order to keep her father safe was terrible, and she sees no way out. Finally admitting her feelings to Piers might just be the way. If he can beat the psycho dragon who wants her also. Her Dragon's Heart by Julia Mills is about Melanie, a powerful witch who has surpressed her magic for years, and Jace, the dragon shifter she loves. When Melanie is abducted by her evil grandfather, Jace must rescue her before her grandfather uses her for evil. Dragon Spy by Michelle Beardsley is a quick read about two lovers, Garrett and Jessica, seperated for fifty years by a stupid act of Garrett's. But two sneaky relatives have devised a plan to get them back together. After all the years apart is their love still strong. Love Like Wings by Amy Burgess. Dragon shifter Sebastian will die if he can't convince his mate, Alexa that he loves her. For five years unbeknownst to Alexa, he has been trying to woe her, but she thinks he's a player. When he takes drastic measures, she has to confront her insecurities and fears or lose her last chance at love. Beyond My Dragon's Love by P.T.Macias. Heather has to betray her mate, Prince Landon, after meeting him, which results in him being imprisoned. But when she finds out a spoiled Princess wants him to sire her children, she has to save him. I loved Prince Landon. He was dissatisfied with his life on his planet and wanted to find his one true love instead of settling for just anyone. When Heather betrays him he is so hurt and angry. Kiss The Dragon by Michelle Fox. Sara was hit by lightning and now can see the future. Humans and non humans all want to use her and her abilities. She's been on the run for years when she meets Alex, a dragon shifter who has been cursed to remain in his human form for 200 years. If Sara is his mate and accepts him, the curse will be broken. But can he save her? I loved Alex and his brothers. They were all so different. I can't wait to see who fate means to mate each of them with. Showken by Solease Barner is about a dragon shifter named Showken who finds his mate in Marilyn. But Marilyn has had a hard life, abused and abandoned by the people who should have loved and protected her, she doesn't think she is worthy, and thinks Showken is like everyone else. Out to use her. I was so sad at what life had thrown her, forcing her to take care of herself at too young an age. She deserves to finally have a happy life and someone who loves her unconditionally.

This is a great box set where you get the chance to read a complete book and find out if you like the author and also when it is a book of a series, if you want to read the other books in the series. Naturally not every story and every author is to everyone’s liking. In this collection is not one book that I did not like, but there certainly are some that I liked more than others. Also based on the title, I had somehow expected dragon shifters as main characters in the books, but you have dragons with bondmates, dragon shifters, a baby dragon as a co-star, witches, other shifters, prince and princesses, therefore be open to the story that you are reading. If a world of magic, royalty, gods, Celts,…, is not your thing, you should maybe skip that box.
If you like a book or not depends also on the mood you are in when reading it. I started with the 1st story and could not get into it, because it had too much depth for me on that day, I needed an easy read and switched to the second story. 2 days later, I came back to the first story and devoured it. That said, now a bit about the books. Apologies for being vague, but I did not want to spoil the read.

1) Dragon Maid: The story focusses on Jonathan and Britta, but continues also Lachlans story. I did not read book 1 yet, but you can easily read this one and are able to follow, although it might make sense to start with book 1 and read all of them in order. It was different from what I expected it to be and I will now start with book 1. The story is not only focusing on the couples and where to find love, it has a great background story about the old fight between good and evil, though you have to say that the evil is not just the pure evil. When you like celtic myths, witches, dragons and to be sucked in a story that develops over each book, then this is the one.
2) Cupid’s Curse: A really nice and fast read about a fae, her boyfriend, her friends, enemies, parents mixed up with demi-gods and goddesses. The story is fun to read and sweet. I have to admit that I was surprised about the dragon, but he is cute. Perfect read for the beach.
3) Claiming His Prize: a heart melting story about a fighter and a doctor where he has to fight for her love and get the bad shifters out of their way. Read it in one go, was completely sucked into the story and felt for them with every turn of the story.
4) Her Dragon’s Heart: Family is not always the safe haven, that is what we see in other stories in this book box as well, but here the main antagonist is the own grandfather. The story was good, but I would have preferred another ending. Would also suggest to try this one out and when you like it continue the series.
5) The Dragon Spy: love meddling family, a treasure hunt and love, great mixture for another good read. This book is as well recommended for your lazy beach time and will not leave you disappointed.
6) Love Like Wings: Dragon’s do have patience. 5 years trying unsuccessful to “claim” the mate and then being forced to jump into action, time is running up. This story had me smiling, cringing and groaning very often.
7) Beyond My Dragon’s Love: Nice story, but not totally my cup of tea. The selfish evil princess, the poor helpless dragon and his mate all in a story of who is getting the prize, the dragon, first and is able to keep it. The story was well written, just not what I like.
8) Kiss The Dragon: Dragons stuck in human form who try to find their mated in order to break the curse, a human with foretelling abilities and a voice that talks in her head, conspiring witches who end up with a dragon instead of the seer and the newly formed team who has to get the dragon back. A really enjoyable read that makes time passing as if it is nothing.
9) Showken: A dragon playboy, a mate that does not believe in him (doubts her own worth) and the relationship thing and a merry chase. Another fast read for the beach.

Would have been OK except I absolutely hated Alexa . Was she supposed to be tough and determine? Well, she came across as ornery, cantankerous, stubborn, enormously rude and an absolute brat who keeps yelling and throwing things in a type of temper-tantrums that would put an unruly toddler to shame. Forget mating – what she needs is a lesson in manners delivered via tanned backside. And what’s with a complete turnaround – one moment she is calling Sebastian pervert and next moment she is soooo in love with him? A miss

Beyond Her Dragon's Love - PT Macias
Not even in the ballpark. . First of all, a bullet-points writing style is great for furniture assembly instructions, not so much as a narrative – please be advised that the quotations below are exactly as they appeared in the book – word to word, comma to comma (you have been warned).
“The Archaica Galaxy borders the Northern Draco Constellation. Archaica Celesteal is a terrestrial planet, similar to Earth. Archaica Celestial realm orbits its own moon. The moon is huge bright silver. Sparkling silver stars are embedded in the deep violet sky during the night. During the day the sky is baby blue with a hot pink sun”
“Heather walks urgently to the Gliderspike in her black and silver leather uniform. She is wearing sexy black leather boots that reach up to her knee, with leather straps than have small silver spikes. The straps wrap around the ankle.”
“She’s wearing a huge sapphire in a bezel setting, with diamonds around the stone. She wears the sapphire on a black velvet ribbon around her slender neck”and so on.
As if that was not enough, the narration is done in present time with POW constantly switching from third to first person, often in the same sentence. For example:
“She looks at the access gate key, frowning. Yeah, it looks like simple key but it’s not. This silver key has Archaica crest programmed with my DNA.
Damn, I still can’t believe it! I’m so furious at my father for taking the old Glidercraft. He now has a price on his head for a million tokens, Oh yeah, I am now enslaved to Princess Astor”
“She closes her huge violet eyes frustrated. I wonder how long this mission will take “
Dropped it after less than 10 pages. A miss by a mile

This was a very good selection of books by a lot of great authors. Dragon Maid Ann Gimpel= Jonathan Shea can take his magic or leave it, but when he meets Britta and her dragon he wants to help her protect Earth.They will have to battle against The Morrigan and the red and black Wyvern. What happens? Cupid’s Curse is one of the stories I had already read by Rebekah R. Ganiere=This is the second book in the series . Raine works for the Inquisitor of Otherworlds. Her friend Slade has now been told he can no longer help her, by decree of her parents. She has the Guardians keeping a close eye on her .Things have been going wrong for Cupid's Dating Service, he has been making matches that are going wrong and he does not remember making them,Cupid hires Raine to find out what is going on ! There is also something going on with Jordan what is he keeping from Raine ? Claiming His Prize by Ellis Leigh=Dragon-shifter Piers fights at The Pack House it is an underground MMA-style fight ring for shifters he has won every prize except the one he wants which is Doctor Jane the woman who looks after the Shifters. What happens when another tries to claim Jane? Her Dragon’s Heart by Julia Mills = This is book 8 in the Dragon Guard series and is Melanie Whelan and Jace MacQuaid’s story . What secret does Melanie try to keep hidden from the Dragons? Who is her father? The Dragon Spy by Michele Bardsley= Garrett Stone was a former thief, former spy, and now has turned his life around, he is only finished half of his Hundred year banishment. He stays away from other Dragons including the woman he once loved Jessica Kearney but now his Mother has asked him to get the fabled artifact Giselda’s Egg .Will Jessica and Michele be able to get the egg before the villain does? Love Like Wings by Amy Burgess, she is a fairly new author and one I have not read before. This is Sebastian Black and Alexa’s story and what happens when she tries on an antique ring and finds he is a dragon.Will they get a Happy Ending? Beyond My Dragon’s Love by P.T. Macias book 2 in the Dragon Blood Legacy= What happens when Heather an orbit engineer is forced to betray Prince Landon? Will she be able to correct her mistake? Kiss The Dragon by Michelle Fox = Sara Clark has been hit by lightening and can now see the future she has lived her life on the run. What will happen now? What happens when she meets Dragon Alex MacTeine who is under a curse to stay in his human form. Will they be able to break it? Showken by Solease M Barner= This is book 2 in the Draglen Brothers series. Showken Draglen is the playboy of the royal dragon brothers and he does not want to settle down . Both Sara and her rescuer are stunned by the passion in their lipped embrace, but the instant connection spurs the couple to ride towards safe haven.

Fey-Cursed for two centuries, Alec MacTeine can finally taste his salvation...literally. Sexy biker men...dragons...kilts...cookies. Soooo many things to appreciate in this book!! Michelle Fox had me from the first words and locked me down with that first kiss. (Insert dreamy sigh here) This was a great first start to a new series. The flow was spot on, especially for its length, and had such an entertaining blend of sarcasm, humor, conflict, love, and teasers to her future Heroes. The only downfall is having to wait for the next book to be released. Bummer.

In Dragon Maid book 3 Kheladin has invited the witches to his cave and he meets and his fascinated by Jonathan Shea who happens to be a friend to Maurveen since he was a child she was more like an aunt, Kheladin could feel the power that Jonathan possessed and he wanted to get to know him so they began to talk he also knew that Jonathan was not just a witch but more as they spoke and he questioned him he knew that Jonathan was not in control of that power he possessed Kheladin had wards up to protect them and keep them informed of whom comes and goes and Kheladin knew that another Dragon was near and wanting access the Dragon Tarika was a very old old Dragon one of the first and her shifter was Britta when Kheladin gave them access and Tarika shifted into Britta Kilkerran Jonathan was so taken with her he could hardly think straight but he knew that this woman was someone special to his future they all came together including Kheladin's shifter Lachlan and his mate Maggie who was from the future they had a mission to find make sure that Morrigan was stopped and punished for breaking the laws of the Gods but even thought they knew she had broken the laws they would not punish her. Now Jonathan didn't know but had heard that his mother was also a God The Huntress but he hated his mother because she dumped his with his father when he was three years old and he had not seen her since had barely seen his father because it seems that he had been working for the Gods that's why he was barely around while Jonathan grew up but when he was an adult his father just disappeared and he never bother to go find him . This is there story full of Magic, time travel, and romance. I received a copy for an honest review.

Just reviewing Her Dragons Heart by Julia Mills:
Jace MacQuaid has met his mate - Melanie Rose Whelan (a nurse and white witch) who has been hiding from her evil coven. There is such a strong bond between them because they are in love with each other. Jace can feel her emotions and some of her thoughts. All of a sudden, he can't get anything from her and knows something is terribly wrong. He goes to her apartment and sees there was a struggle. Her grandfather, who is the head of her coven has had her kidnapped. He needs a relative - Melanie is the only one left - to sacrifice so he can gain her powers and strengthen his again. He's head of the Dorcha Coven and he's evil and uses black magic. That was why Melanie ran away from the coven and didn't use her magic so he wouldn't find her but he finally did. Jace and his friends track Melanie to where she is being held. Can they save her and get her away from her grandfather? Will they have their happy ending? There is plenty of mayhem and action. Liked all the other stories in the Dragon Guard Series, this was a fantastic one too. Can't stop reading it until you are finished!

OMG, this is the best collection of stories! Some of my favorite authors. How can you go wrong with this many stories at this price? I was gonna write a review for each story on here but thought of how long it would be. And I haven't quite finished all of them but will be in the next week. I'm going to go to the individual books and leave individual reviews there. So far, I would give all of them 5 stars. Ann Gimpel, as always, writes a wonderful tell with her dragon lore collection. I love her characters. They are quirky and have humor to them. Lol. And I loved the story in here about Cupid. I loved all those characters. Poor Sam, he's so misunderstood. What a cute dragon. If you're wondering if you should take a chance on this collection, I say go for it. You won't be disappointed.

Dragon Maid Review:
I'm a sucker for any book that has dragon shifters in it and Ann Gimpel is a master story teller! She can weave Celtic lore with fantasy in such an unparalleled fashion that there is simply no other comparison to her work. This is a wonderfully complex tale of good vs evil for the salvation of all Earth. I read the whole story in one sitting and highly recommend it!

I've read a couple of the authors in this collection before and they are also great storytellers. This is a great collection of dragon tales. Worth getting!

This is a wonderful collection of stories about dragons! The one story in this collection I really love is Dragon Maid by Ann Gimpel. It is an awesome example of the dragon genre. It is the story of Johnathan who is has magic running through him. Also about Britta and her dragon, Tarika. Caught in a battle of good vs. evil will they survive to act on their feelings for each other? I love this story! The other stories in this collection are also wonderful. Even if you have not read a dragon shifter story I would recommend this collection as a wonderful introduction to the genre. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

So far I have read Dragon Maid by Ann Gimpel. Britta is known as the Dragon Maid as she remains a maiden all through her years as a dragon shifter. Jonathan, when pressed, claims to be a witch. However, the two together are so much more. Maybe they combined with Maggie and Lachlan can actually stop the Morrigan in her antics this time. Will Jonathan reveal what he knows? What happens when his mother comes for a visit? Will the prophecy unfold as it has been revealed? Read on to find out! Enjoy!

Omg! Holy hotness and smoking hot dragon love :D Make sure you're in air conditioning & have a fire extinguisher handy ;) lol ... I never write spoilers but I can tell you this is an awesome collection of 8 must reads for fans of PNR fiction. Great short stories, shifters and developed characters that will keep the reader engaged and the pages turning :D So run don't walk to one-click yours today :)

What a remarkable collaboration of loving dragons!! The creativity and imagination of these gifted writers is mind boggling! Each one is unique and all of them showcase each writers skills. Jam packed with dragons of assorted sizes, personalities, etc...you name it! A must read for dragon lovers!
Each one captured my attention quickly and kept me glued there willingly! I was given a copy of this collaboration in exchange for an honest review and recommend it highly for all PNR readers!

This is a good mix of stories featuring one of my favorite shifters - dragons. Each author has a very different take on dragons and I enjoyed the variety and creativity of the storylines.

I will say that Claiming His Prize by Ellis Leigh was a definite favorite. The odds were stacked against them but they stayed strong. They had amazing chemistry and I was rooting for them to win. I would love to read more about them,

I really enjoy the box sets, they give you the opportunity to read stories from new authors.

This collection has some amazing authors and who doesn't love a good dragon!

I have already read stories from the majority of the authors. This box set has a very talented group of authors that draw you into their story lines. Definitely worth reading!

If you love dragons, this is a set of stories you have to get! Add in some Celtic gods and goddesses and it gets even better. I loved that it isn't filled with just short stories and novellas, but full length books as well. The variety of authors and storylines will keep you riveted for hours. I even found a couple of new authors (new to me anyways) that I want to read more from.

To be honest, I didn't like all of the stories, but I gave the bundle 5 stars because the ones I did like were really good. Dragon-shifters are a favourite of mine, and I recommend this anthology to any dragon lovers out there.
