Moondance Trilogy #3

Blue Moon Kind of Love

Rate this book
Mrs. Mason Reid—to Maggie, it just sounds and feels right, and now that it’s hers, she wears it easy and with pride. Never mind the fact that they were in the middle of a huge fight when he basically kidnapped her and proposed . . . in the rain . . . in the middle of an old gas station parking lot. And okay, they got married a few hours later, but, hey, nothing else about their relationship has been traditional. Why would they have a traditional wedding? All shock, haste, and wedding vows on the fly aside, it was a beautiful ceremony. They are perfect together, so everything should be roses, right? Not exactly. Not as long as there are haters among them hell-bent on destroying their lives. The struggle continues for Maggie and Mason, but they have one thing going for them—they both know their love is special. This is not the kind of love that happens every day. It’s rare, and it’s worth risking everything to protect. This is a blue moon kind of love . . .

Author bio is supposed to sound like it was written by some magical PR genius, right? It’s supposed to make the author sound intelligent, interesting, but most importantly, it’s supposed to sound like the author didn’t write it. Well, let’s be honest, I’m one of the hundreds, nay, thousands, of Indie authors operating as a one-woman show. I don’t mean to brag, but I literally do it all: I write, I create book covers, I format my own books . . . and, admittedly, I write my own bio. So, here it is (in first-person, in a relatively concise fashion): I have a day job at which I ingest ridiculous amounts of coffee and leave a lasting mark on the brains of teenagers (scary), and I don’t discuss my moonlighting—writing contemporary, Southern, erotic, romantic comedy. Sometimes I think I remember what my sweet husband looks like, but I’m not one hundred percent sure. I’m Indie by choice and likely to remain that way (mainly because I’m stubborn and curse like a sailor). And I often start sentences with coordinating conjunctions . . . on purpose. So, if you’re feelin’ froggy, have a go at one of my books, but don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Short review. In the last installment of the Moondance trilogy, Maggie and Mason are trying to enjoy married life to bad someone or someones are trying to destroy it. This book is more mysterious than the previous two books as Maggie and Mason try to figure out who has a vendetta against one or both of them. I'm really hoping that Trent and Gabi get a spin-off.

Excellent ending

However you may feel about HEA this one was very well done. I remembered that one character had 'THE DRINK' but not which one and I was too enthralled in the characters to make time to go back to other books. Good mystery romance novels in this trilogy.

Wow what an ending to this brilliant trilogy. I will try to write my review without any spoilers!

Again, this book starts right where the second book finished and so you must read books one and two before you devour this one. Maggie Reid is on cloud nine. She has married her soul mate and is on her honeymoon in the middle of nowhere. She never thought she would get her HEA but here she is, wrapped safely in the arms of her husband. She is so proud to call him her better half and cannot wait to live the rest of her life with him.

Mason Reid is just as deliriously happy as his wife is. So the proposal and wedding didn’t exactly go to plan, but when has his and Maggie’s relationship been smooth sailing?! He has vowed to make her happy and protect her for the rest of her life and he is starting as he means to go on. She is the most precious thing in the world to him and no one will come between them.

Cue the haters when news of Knoxville’s most eligible bachelor’s marriage spreads. Reporters are looking for their next scoop on every corner and something or someone much more sinister is lurking in the background waiting for the perfect moment to ruin the happy couple forever. Can Mason truly protect his true love?

I absolutely adored this book and this trilogy. Salem Archer has done it again with this final installment. I was gripped from the beginning as I needed to know what the future had in store for them. The love they have for each other just oozes off the pages and you just wish them all the luck in the world. Again the book is well written, with different POV’s and keeps you hooked to the last page. I wish I could have given 5 stars but I wanted a tad more at the end from Mason’s POV and I’m still left with a few unanswered questions which I know are going to nag at me (not unless some of the characters are getting their own book?!?). I highly recommend this trilogy and hope you one click all 3 the entire series. Congrats Salem.
