I'm quite new to the whole slow cooker thing so I thought grabbing some inexpensive books was an smart alternative to browsing the internet.
I landed on this one, which claims to include 65 healthy homemade meals which require little time and effort.

It includes a variety of recipes indeed. My Kindle edition lacks pictures, which is a pity, so I quick-read them in order to locate those of my interest.
Unluckily there are not many that are appealing to me.
Many of them use plenty of store-bought sauces, cake mixes or whatever it takes to create an effortless meal... but that's not my idea of wholesome food.
Others have very few directions, but only because many of the ingredients are listed as clean, peeled, diced, chopped, minced and even cooked. So, hell yeah, if you have already done all that then you are nearly done indeed.
A few might be worth trying though, but they are not too tempting anyway so instead they might be forgotten in no time.

Crockpot 65

The recipes here seem to be easy to follow and sound delicious, yet this book (Kindle edition) suffers like so many other cookbooks with a lack of pictures of the dish to go along with the recipes. Overall, this cookbook is a solid 3.5 stars though it isn't possible to give the half star so I went with four. Adding pictures and fixing some minor formatting issues would bring it up to 5 stars.

Best variety of crockpot recipes I've seen in 1 book.

This is a great crock pot recipe book, great for a beginner or for an experienced cook. There is everything from breakfast buns to scrumptious desserts. Would recommend this book for anyone who works and needs short cuts to dinner for the

Good Collection

I don't use my crockpot as much as I could. I'm looking forward to trying some of these recipes. I would have loved to have had some photos of the recipes. The BOLD reminder at the end of each individual section to leave a review was a bit annoying. Good collection of recipes though.

Easy Recipes

These recipes are really basic meals that most people enjoy. Using the crock pot makes them easy to make. I liked it!

No thanks.

I am deleting this book. Unfortunately there are no recipes I can use. Just purchased my crock pot and have been researching recipes but all use canned soups and ingredients that are not allowed in certain diets. I'm sure someone else may be able to use this.

Not good for avoiding processed foods

There are some quick meal recipes, and the author attempts to make them healthy, the canned soups and sauces she recommends make many of the recipes unbearable.

This is a great book to keep on hand to refer to. I have many cook books around the house . We watch our diet too. I fixed two great meals from this book. We love Publix recipes as well. I get cooking light , weight watchers and the wine enthusiast. I like wine for my spouse. I have alcohol free anymore. Thank you !
