One of the most satisfying audios I have listened too! Angeligue goes back in time to ruin Collinwood before it even begins, whilst a beautiful young woman known as Laura Stockbridge finds herself becoming something quite unearthly.

This was a brilliant 2 hour audio that absolutely flew by! Roy Gill has truly written a brilliant 50th special for Dark Shadows with some great characters, performed by an excellent cast, an intriguing story and some fantastic setup for Laura Stockbridge. If your a fan of Dark Shadows this was one is defintely for you, this is finely written and directed story with an amazing cast! 10/10

Gave it a good 30 minutes but I just could not get into this audio drama. I love Big Finish. I love Dark Shadows. But I've yet to love a Big Finish Dark Shadows show.

Recorded to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the "Dark Shadows" tv show, "Blood and Fire" showcases its history in subtle ways. The witch Angelique Bouchard is tasked with going back in time to destroy the Collins family when it all started. While the players may have changed, the family is ever as it was with all the secrets and bickering. To counter Angelique is the young widow Laura Murdoch Stockbridge that discovers her powers as the eternal phoenix. I loved the contrast between Laura and Angelique -- both gifted with power, but very different attitudes towards using it.
