Rate this book
Book 2 in a young adult dystopian romance. This is a mini-series, please read books in order.

Aria Grace is confused, grieving, and scared. Not to mention royally ticked. Just who is this Jameson guy, and what was her sister into? And what does her sister's boyfriend Reed know? She feels like her life has blown up in her face, and even her best friend holds secrets. When Jameson drops another bombshell on her, she's caught up in emotional turmoil just before they are thrust into an unexpected rescue mission. Before she know it, they are fleeing for the mountains, into the mysterious territory of the Untouched. All Aria can do now is pray for God to equip her for whatever comes next.

This is book 2 of a dystopian romance mini-series. All books should be read in order. Some may have cliffhanger endings.

C.B. Stone

C.B. Stone is sometimes called author, writer, or purveyor of stories. One might even dub her a yarn spinner, if you will. It’s very possible she might be considered just a little left of normal by most, but she’s cool with that. Really, she’s too busy avoiding normal to care.

On any given day, you might find Stone pounding away at a keyboard in sunny Florida, contemplating waves, contemplating life, and dreaming up more exciting stories to share with readers. Except Sunday’s of course. Sunday’s are God’s day, so you’ll often find her making her best “joyful noise” with her local church praise team.

When not pounding poor fingers to bloody nuggets and reinventing the definition of eye strain, C.B. Stone enjoys living it up, doing the family thing, the kid thing, and the friend thing. And in her downtime, reading the minds of fans.

Also being invisible. Being invisible is fun.

3 Stars

Overview:

I had the pleasure of receiving a copy of this (as well as its predecessor) in exchange for a review. Thanks again to the author for the opportunity.

This is probably somewhere in the 3 star to 3.5 star range, to be picky. Because I did enjoy this quite a lot (more than the first) but there were still several things I thought were underdeveloped.

Pros:

Jameson’s voice in particular seemed more developed in this. Aria’s did as well, but his seemed less generic and unique to him.

This has a really strong world building component. Even how the characters shorten the names of things worked very well. In the first novella I was confused by “CPs” and “Gov.” But it was a unique attribute that added to the fast paced and dreary setting.

Overall, I really enjoyed this plot. It twisted and turned quite a bit, and I honestly didn’t know what was going to happen next.

Again, I really enjoyed this writing style and there was some great sensory input.

Cons:

This actually didn’t really answer any of the questions I had from the first book. If anything… I just have more now. I just really would have preferred some answers before all these new questions.

I really feel both Drew and Thea should have been introduced in the first novella. Their characters were important to the plot here, but I think their scenes would've had more impact if wasn’t occupied trying to figure out who they were. It was especially confusing jumping into two new POVs so late in the game, and neither voice really stands out from the previous. Kai’s introduction made more sense, and it was easier to try and gain an understanding of who he was while he appears to be doing the same thing.

I know more about Thea’s history than I do Jameson or Aria. They both still feel really underdeveloped to me.

I’m really confused as to how this government would actively think Thea was Aria, when they have several photos of Aria’s face…?

In conclusion:

I’m really curious to see where this goes! I want answers DANG IT!

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I liked this book better than the first one in the series. Starting to get some information about the Gov but still feel like many unanswered questions. Another short book. Could have been combined with the 1st book in the series. Still wondering what Aria is rebelling against.

Ok, so let me clarify, Mini-series. Super short books but very edge of your seat reading. I really like them so far, this one best. I give "Blink 2" 5 stars. Clean romance. No swearing or sexual content. I can recommend for teens and up.

Not available on kindle unlimited. Part 6 of I think just 6 but never know for sure with writers sometimes. Also not sure of the genre, sorta dystopian sorta not, etcetera, just read the series. Not hard to figure out which books, Blink 1 2 3 4 5 6 {Rebel Minds}. Serialized type stories. Some got perma free, some from free book sites, some as ARCs.

Dates off again, forgot to review on goodreads back when, remember now but having to play catch up on a few as see them.

Jameson has to make a decision to choose Love over his whole life and turn his back on the Gov. I did enjoy reading, Thea has a secret but it is a bit confusing, not really sure what the Gov is or what it is that they do. It would have been better if that was explained, however it was a good short read.

Spies, lies, and murder! Innocent people set-up to take the fall! The Gov (government) can't be trusted; the Gov has shown itself to be treacherous and ruthless. Who can be trusted? Aria, Jameson, Reed, and Thea ask this question, even of each other. While they sort out the truth from fiction, where can they go to hide? Because, they're being hunted!
Thrilling, engrossing YA dystopian romance! Paranormal is also at work here with emerging powers. Old and new characters, and situations, add flavor to this already spicy read!

WOW!! This gripped me from page 1. If I could give it 6 stars, I would! It’s not a long book.
It’s told from different points of view, and although it’s book 2 in the series (I haven’t read Book 1), I was able to follow along just fine. Can’t wait now to go back and read book 1.
Lots of action, fast-paced. Aria Grace is being framed for the murder of her sister, by the Gov …. Jameson works for the Gov …. Can she trust him? She wants to …

A mind unlike others, heart and a spirit that is willing to fight for what she cares for. That is what the kernel of this story is. How it unfolds is written in a enticing way, and the events that takes place is captivating and thrilling. There is a definite dystopian/sci-fi touch to it all, but then again it might not be so far of reality considering advances done in many scientific departements so far. I found this book to be more intriguing than I originally thought it would be, and I took a clear liking to the characters that you meet. My curiosity is most definitly awoken and I for one want more, more , more ...A very intriguing read is the understatement of the year, but it at least hints at the intrigue inside.

Now that I know these books end in cliffhangers, I was prepared. The writing is excellent, I'm learning more about the characters, and the underlying mystery keeps me reading. I will buy the next book in the series as I want to find the answers to the questions raised. If you like sci-fi/urban fantasy, you might consider giving this serial a try. Amazon has parts 1-3 in one collection, and parts 4-6 in another collection, which helps to ease the pain of cliffhangers. I received a free copy of this book from the author, but I am voluntarily reviewing it.
