Everything happens for a reason.

Kristin…

College, a breakup, and a friendship.

Doesn’t sound bad at all until you put all three of those together and you come out with the most life changing news of my life.

If what started off as an innocent, fun night caused me to lose the one person I wanted more than anything, I didn't know how I would ever get past it.

Carson…

I’d had my heart torn out and stomped on once before, and I vowed to never let it happen again.

But…

Enter Kristin. Fun, beautiful, full of life Kristin. I never expected a friendship with her, and I definitely didn’t expect her to completely change my life.

If I couldn't get past her mistake and learn to live with its outcome, then I would lose everything, and I didn't know if I could live with that.

There are two types of four letter words-love & the other string of words that aren't so lady like. Typically, the other four letter words come when your hearts broken.

Kristen has lived with her roommate, Miranda, for two years but when she falls in love and moves out, Miranda sends her best friend, Carson, to take her place.

Carson is what every girl drools over, but Kristen and him have a friendship like none other.

Chasing Destiny is a story of letting you heart fall, but when life throws a curve ball do take it or run like hell?

If your looking for a story that will make you fall of a friendship that is absolutely real and wish the pages continued then Chasing Destiny is the book for you. Not to mention, I loved seeing Mac, Ryder, and the other Chasing Series.

I gave this book 4.5 stars!

If your looking for a really good contemporary romantic read then this book is for you. The chemistry that Carson and Kristin have is off the charts. They start off as friends and roommates after both have ex's that have used them. As time goes on both start having feeling for each other. When these two finally get to together, a twisted surprise happens. Can Kristin and Carson survive? I love how the secondary characters play into their friendship and push these two we they couldn't.

Another sweet yet angsty addition to this series !! Now we get the story of Carson and Kristen, Carson is Hayes BFF/Miranda's "cousin" and Kristen was Miranda's roommate at college. So these two characters have been around the past couple books and due to certain events their friends have gone through they are now getting a chance to experience each other and tell us their story. It was a great story of letting go , finding love and accepting the things life throws at you , especially if you want something bad enough. Despite the fact that we know Carson as a typical playboy and these characters are young 20's in college the feel for the book is more about learning lessons than the steamy sex. I enjoy this about JD's writing , she can give us an amazing set up and then move on , our imaginations can take us further or not !! Don't get me wrong , there is much talk of it and obviously it does play a role , but it is not the main focus which can be a nice treat !! We also get to play catch up with the gang and see a few things from different POV's. The epilogue was great and I adore Carson so much , he was amazing !! I also have to say that I had such a connection at the start of the story, the friendship C & K had , their connection , their comfortability was great - I recall having a few guy friends that I adored. We could cuddle , hangout , do anything and it was always the best time. It is funny to realize how much that has changed BUT I still keep in touch with them all - the power of social media !! I love when I have a personal connection to a character or storyline. If you have been following this series you definitely want to read this -

Friends to lovers is a favorite of mine. I love when time passes and you begin to see something special in someone you have known. Chasing Destiny is one of those stories. It is two friends that end up living together and fall in deep passionate love. Carson and Kristin work well together. They don’t give in and keep each other on their toes. They are so fun to watch interact and I loved their banter and flirting! So when more romantic feelings developed between these two, it seemed natural and perfect. But the real question is if they could make it work when a huge curve ball is thrown their way.

I was not ready for said curve ball. Didn’t even see it coming. I expected something else and JD surprised me with more. The drama and heartache that happens is well paced and vital to this couple. They have to learn how to work through the uncertainty and it makes the story more solid. Their chemistry is off the charts but relationships are built on so much more.

Chasing Destiny is the third in the series, and JD weaves all the characters in the stories before all throughout this book. I loved getting to see glimpses of people I had read about in the books before and seeing where they are today. These friends were the kind you want around you for a lifetime and their support and love added so much to the story! JD did a great job with Carson and Kristin’s story. It was heartfelt, flirty, and raw. An excellent addition to the Chasing Series!

This is a definite young adult contemporary romance, pg13 scenes for sure. It is a coming for age novel with the main characters, Kristin and Carson both 20 in College learning their way in life with relationships, jobs, and living on their own. They each have a bad relationship in their pasts which leave them timid to be emotionally involved in another relationship. They end up as room mates and become best friends. As time progresses they learn to rely on one another and things develop. Without giving too much away, their are hiccups to overcome or not. This was an easy read but the flow and style of writing was definitely more catered to young readers which was not my preference.

I loved this book! I truly did.
Carson is a guy who likes to sleep around and when I say like...I mean he really likes to sleep around. He had his heart broken a million years ago and has sworn of women.
Kristin just broke up with her artist boyfriend, who decided he wanted her and the single life. So while she was getting over that her roommate moved out and she needed to replace her.
So....she comes Carson her new sexy slutty roommate. The two are friends and living together they grew closer.
Now I want to tell you about this entire book but I can't. Because I don't want to spoil it for you.
I guarantee this book will have you in tears and it will for sure play with your heartstrings.
The very last chapter of this book made me cry and it filled my heart with all kinds of joy!
I will tell you that this book is my life but in a twisted reverse way. I can honestly say that I feel the exact same way that Carson feeling in the epilogue.
JD Rivera you did an amazing job with this book! Thank you so much for wanting me to read it. I absolutely loved it and I touched my heart! You have no idea how much this story means to me. Thank you!

This book was to short for me, I really enjoyed the story but I just it would have been longer I hated for it to end. Kristin and Carson had a great relationship from the start and as time progressed it got better. I will have to go back and read the other books in the series just to get more of them.
