It was cute, but more of an advertisement for other authors and their books than a story. Especially with how it cut off at the "end." I was enjoying the direction things were heading between Vance and Christie until they stopped. And by stopped I mean the story ended in the middle of things. What I read was cute, and I assume the two will end up together.
I would have rated it higher had it felt conclusive and left me satisfied. As it is, it just leaves you with a wtf look on your face.

First off...that ending (if it is actually an ending) sucked. This book is 6 chapters long. Not sure if its a complete story or if this is going to go in a series type of books. The story line is good, fun, lighthearted and funny. I really just wish there was more. The story/book just seems so incomplete to me.

A great start to what I am sure is going to be a great story! I am hooked! With this little taste Danielle has given us two characters who are all kinds of lovable and you know are going to be absolutely perfect together. The problem is they don't know it.
The direction this story is headed has me all kinds of excited and I can't wait to see how this all plays out in part 2!

What a cute and fun story!! I love this novella and can not wait for the full length book to come out!!!! I am in the need to know and don't want to wait..lol You are getting to know Vance and Christi in this novella. And Christi is a blogger and a reader and most of us can identify with one or both and I love how it mentions other books that have been talked about and how they are some of the ones that everyone was talking about. So it's makes this book so much more relatable then some that you can read. I will warn you that this little part will leave you hanging because it's just a piece of the full book. But I highly recommend it now and most importantly I will probably edit this review when we finally get our hands on the full novel.

Well if that was the taster then I want to know when and how I can get the rest of it. I NEED the rest of this story.
Best friends to lovers is my favourite trope and I loved the dynamic between Christi and Vance. Christi is a super sweet heroine that I desperately want to learn more about. Vance is going to be one of those book boyfriend's that explode the heart and I can't wait to get acquainted with him fully.
Yes, this book is short and sweet but it lays the perfect pathway for a story I'm sure Danielle will wow us with. And I for one can't wait.

Umm, what?! That was it? OMG, I cannot wait to read the whole story... Six chapters was such an enticing little panty tease. In just six short chapters, this brilliant author (Danielle Jamie) has got me hooked. This is the first of her writings I've read, but if the rest of her stories are anything like this, I'll be a fan 4 life!
This was an easy read. The story flowed quickly, the characters were well-developed, and the dialogue was believable. And for an "un-proofed copy" (that I received for free in exchange for an honest review), I was pleasantly pleased to find it wasn't chockfull of grammatical mistakes and typographical errors.
My ONLY complaint: I wanted MORE!! The sexual tension between Christi & Vance, caused by their ignorance of each others' feelings, leaves me begging for release right along with them! There is the distinct promise of some hard-core deliciousness in store for these two, and I for one, cannot wait. Personally, I couldn't have been Vance's roommate. But I am after all, a whore at heart!
I loved that I blushed, smiled awkwardly until my cheeks hurt, and giggled like a huge dork, right along with Christi, as she goes from cheated on girlfriend to shouldn't be diddling the clittle while dreaming of her hunky live in "just friends"/roommate. But then again, I've always believed a girl should have a Fire Extinguisher Man on stand-by... Vance is NYPD, but he fits the bill. You know what I'm talking about, "In case of emergency (aka: a need to get off), break glass." Only thing is, poor little Christi hasn't realized Vance is more than willing to put her fire out! Will she ever? I guess I just have to wait until the full story comes out in Fall!

I was gifted an ARC for Exes and Hoes for an honest review. Now I absolutely love Danielle Jamie and all that she writes and this is no difference however I am mad at her because it stopped just as it was getting juicy and I want MORE!
Vance and Christie have known each other for years, they are best friends, they even live together. They both have secretly felt a connection, that spark, but both have never wanted to break that friendship bond that they have. They have never tried anything because they have always been in a relationship with respective partner until now!
With serial dater Christie becoming single again due to catching her best friend making out with her boyfriend, Vance is ready to make his feelings known but how is he going to do that with Christie saying she's off men.
This is a must read and I cannot wait for the rest of the book to continue because Danielle has been mean and left us hanging when things just start getting juicy!

Great intro to this new pair. A handsome cop and blogger/book reviewer with literacy aspirations. Only problem is they have friend zoned each other. Will great tragedy bring them crashing together or will they run in opposite directions? And now a bit about the story...
Christi has sworn off men after catching her boyfriend and best friend in a passionate embrace in a dark alley. Vance her roommate and best friend is there to help her through the break up. As she starts to get back into the swing of things she's starting to wonder if swearing off men was the right thing to do... she's becoming very drawn to Vance, but maybe she's reading too much into it... Stay tuned to see if there is any kissing and making up ;)
Favorite passage: So the bimbo’s a hair dresser? Sadly, for her, I’ve seen better hair on a stray dog out on the street rather than the bleached mess that she has on her head.

Best friends to lovers is always a great story and this one is just adorable. The characters are easy going, fun loving regular people.
Poor Christi suffered the worst kind of betrayals, her boyfriend and her best friend. Vance her hot as h#ll roomate/ best friend is her shoulder to lean on.
Oh she wants to lean on, against and be under him!! Suddenly he is the man in all her fantasies but she is in the friend zone. A blog post, a Yankee game and a kiss cam might be all it takes to make her dreams come true.

I absolutely love this book. From beginning to end there was hotness and steaminess to the end. Only thing I'd say is "How could you end it there??!! I want more Vance like now!! Please :)"
Vance and Christi should say how it is and I hope Danielle makes another one and clears up what happens next!!! Please please you can't leave me hanging around with just that hotness ending.

I absolutely loved this novella about Christi and Vance. When her ex cheats on her with her best friend, Christi makes a blog post that goes viral about being done with men and only getting her O's from book boyfriends. Vance is her roommate and best friend who is in love with her. She has always had a crush on him and thought he only saw her as a little sister. Christi's life gets more complicated when they share a steamy kiss at the Yankees game! I need more of Christi and Vance!!

Now I have to wait for the full story! Definitely going to pick this up so I can read it. Who doesn't love a good book that talks about book boyfriends. Now I have some more suggestions to read.

I'm absolutely in love and already so attached to this book and the wonderful characters.
A laugh out loud hilarious and swoon-worthy story of best friends turned lovers. Vance literally had my teeth sweating...so much hotness...and his heart...Oh, what a perfect real live book boyfriend for Christi. I can't wait to read the rest of Vance and Christi's story!!

Just this little preview into Vance and Christi makes you want more...I started this during my daughter's nap time and couldn't put it down until I was done. I think a lot of us have been in Christi's shoes and I can't wait to read more. You can go wrong with a bit NYPD detective. This little teaser will make you want more...can't wait for the full release in the fall.

What a cute read. I fell in love with Vance he is the type of guy you would want as a boyfriend. From page 1 this book was entertaining. Danielle did a wonderful job with this short story that I can't wait for more.

Lighthearted and very easy to relate to. Vance is ultra hot and exudes alpha sexiness. Christi is (me) is (us). A beautiful woman who does realize exactly how beautiful she is. I'm dying for more.

I received a arc of this book... I loved the book but I hate the way she ended it.. Man what a cliffhanger.. I hope there's more to come with this series. This story was so real and the characters were real. You felt all the feels in this book and the characters lives...

I can't wait for whole book! It was a good fast read about a book blogger who has given up on men. The end of this story has me waiting for the rest of the book, not so patiently!
