Love & Hate

What happens in Vegas should really stay in Vegas but not when you’re an instant bride and the groom doesn’t want a divorce!

Mackenize
Mackenzie has the sleazy job of keeping tabs on shady billionaires, and she’s done more than her share of messing up her most recent assignment by accidentally marrying the enemy. But her boss sees it as an opportunity to spy on Scott, and she has no choice but to play along, especially when Scott offers her benefits to stay married to him. She has the best of both worlds – satisfy her job responsibilities while getting perks from her fake marriage to her billionaire husband. But the past soon catches up with her, and she scurries home, hoping to disappear and be left alone, but she didn’t count on Scott’s devotion to reuniting with his fake wife.

Scott
Marrying a stranger was never part of his plan, but since the sexy girl who accidentally married him was what he needed to refine his playboy image and solidify the greatest merger of his career, he’d play along. No way was he going to mess up this golden opportunity of looking good to his business partners by granting her a divorce. She was his insurance for the life he was used to, and nothing was going to come between him and his ambitions. Mackenzie had a sordid past, which he could fix, so he offers her a deal she can’t refuse: pretend to be his wife until his merger goes through and she could have all she wanted. Simple enough, except he never expected the steamy behind-the-door perks that came with his fake marriage. Now he wanted her for other reasons…

This is a full-length novel with no cliffhangers and a Happily Ever After ending!

Can't stand the heroine. A bit hypocrite here and there, too naive and just can't adult. What a perfect way to picture a 27 yo in a romance novel. Hero is fine, okay, flat. That's all. Oh, and "illegal" company mission.

I'd expect this from a heavy-serious-undercover-spying case which involves a country, life and death. But accounting company? And they're ecstatic about this "awesome undercover"? Is this shit even legal? I'm not an accountant so I don't know what they can actually do but it still sounds ridiculous to me.

At this point I'd have thought an accountant had to be good at martial arts too, you know, in case they got caught spying and could get killed. But hey, what do I know.

Really interesting story. I loved it. It's a upbeat and easy going story. Really enjoyed the story line. Kept me interested and reading it. Love the back and forth between the characters makes it relatable. Overall good book.

Right out of the gate, this book did little to impress me. Around chapter three, I was mucho unimpressed.

Just know this-- I've read some really racy books in my day. I'm pretty much desensitized to most things. I still cringe when an author refers to female genitalia as the "C" word. I think it is the most vile word in the English language, but I've learned to take it in stride knowing I just need to get over myself. Who am I to talk? I use the "F" word like glitter, but at least I do have limits.

Like when a character refers to her own privates as her "snatch" while she is in the act of having sex with her stranger of a husband, I can't say it was pleasant. It was crass. It was a turnoff to the rest of the book.

I hate naive women. Mackenzie was beyond naive... she was just plain dumb. From the get go, her life was a string of bad decisions and stupidity. I didn't like her much.

The book's sudden foray into the dom/sub thing was unrealistic. It was obvious the author did no research on the subject, relying on what she read in other equally crappy novels. The shift in their relationship was awkward. The declarations of love came out of nowhere and were completely unbelievable. The character development was weak. And the end... just a long description of what happened over a few months time. I don't know why I continued to read it. I should have abandoned it when I said I would.

I see this author is one who churns out books rapidly. It definitely shows.

Was disappointed in this book.
Good attempt at a Dom sub relationship development. But just didn't hit it off for me. I enjoyed reading book. But just needed more.

I really enjoyed this book the characters were great you could tell there was a love hate relationship between Kenzi and Scott but in the end they eventually had a really good relationship. That they could grow from.

Loves the kink in this book, however I hate when things are teased and never happen. That was definitely true for a few things in this book. I also thought the characters were a bit meh. Mackenzie was extremely overly dramatic and really thought there was a lack of "love" between characters. While you could see their trust for each other, their actions and inner dialogue didn't do much to support that. I felt very tossed back and forth between a deep love and casual sex.

Love and Dislike!!

I loved the concept of this book. The only point I didn't like was he kept accusing her of marrying him to get close to him. They both were drunk and should have shared that responsibility. I liked how their love grew into something special. She was a strong woman and she handled herself well with his social crowd. Great book!

Trio of love

All 3 stories were good but Mckenzie and Scott story was best went from sadness and bad luck to having fun and falling in love to betrayal then it came back to them being in love . You never know who you fall in love with or the time frame.

Loved it...

Loved this story. It was a story I loved to hate. Mackenzie and Scott didn't know what they were getting into. They both weren't looking for love and what they found was that and more.

Okay read

This was a little boring nothing that really kept the interest going. Just a plodding fairly basic boy meets girl nothing special. The bonus books also were again fairly boring and I found them somewhat immature. Not really a very good read.
