Love shows itself in strange ways. Remember when you were 8? You would ignore or taunt the boy you liked or he would drive you crazy with his “manliness”? Meet Pavel and Eve, like two children who never grew up, they are like boiling oil being dumped into ice water, with billows of steam flowing every time they get near each other. Talk about chemistry!
Eve’s life has been dedicated to keeping her younger sister safe. She knows she has certain powers, but not exactly how to control them completely, then there is the fact that more keep popping up, sometime with perfect timing, sometimes, not so much. And Pavel? The sex on steroids carefree playboy whose appeal is off the charts never fails to let Eve know , either, as he taunts her, haunts her and protects her as only a part fae/part warlock Guardian can do. What Eve wasn’t prepared for was to fall in lust with Mr. I Am The Hottest Thing Since Habernos, but geez, the guy is smoking hot, with an endearing method of always knowing which buttons to push to drive Eve crazy. Does everything need to be about sex? …Oh, sorry, I was picturing the Russian Platinum God, (wiping drool from the keyboard), I’ll continue…

This book was everything I hoped for and more!!!! Pavel finally meets his match in Eve. This book is fantastic, you need to read it. Well done Brianna West!

I really loved this book (Much like the other Brianna West novels I've read thus far). There is a lot going on, but basically, Pavel is a warlock-fairy hybrid that is also serving as a member in the organization known as the Promiscus Guardians; a group of individuals that use their abilities to help keep the rest of the world safe from evil presences.
Enter the lovely Eve...she has always stuck her neck out to take care of her sister, she's rather tough to the core from the very beginning and has made a point to stay as far away from the influence of males...that is, until she meets the frisky Russian Pavel. Sparks fly, to say the least. I'm glad I got the chance to read this novel...it really helps shed some light on a few characters I first learned about in the initial Promiscus Guardians novel, The Awakening. I can't wait to continue with that series to see what other kinds of adventures these characters manage to tackle and overcome.
This book is an urban fantasy that combines mixed breed immortal hotties (HELLO Pavel!...and maybe I'd send a minimal shout out to Carl as well) and integrates real world personalties in with Promiscus Guardian training and assisting them when it comes to dealing with the powers they've managed to hide from others all this time. This book includes a bit of slightly more aggressive style erotic interactions than the other Brianna West novels I've read to date, but it's definitely worth the read. Enjoy!

And another one bites the dust!
The Promiscus Guardians are dropping like flies. One by one they are falling to the love bug. Hmmm or perhaps I’m jumping the gun on that pronouncement. After all, this is only the second in the Guardians In Love series. However, with the previous three novels in the related Promiscus Guardian series plus these two you definitely get the feeling that all of the wonderful and quirky secondary characters that Ms. West has created just have to be slated for their very own romance. Pavel just happens to be one of my favorites from the start and I’m so happy to see him meet his match in Eve. This obnoxious flirt finally gets what’s comin’ to him and maybe a bit more.
Like all of Ms. West’s heroines, I fell in love with Eve from the git go. She’s full of spice and vinegar that is the perfect foil for Pavel’s playboy mischievousness. She’s got kick-butt awesome skills with her weapons let alone the hidden powers she’s developed over the years. Unfortunately, she has no clue that the powers she has now are just the tip of the iceberg and the Dark has their evil greedy minds on capturing her for their cause. When Pavel rescues her from their first attempt and declares himself her protector she finds herself immersed in a whole new world. Having powers isn’t so unique in this group of guardians she’s introduced to. Now she has her hands full learning all the new powers that are coming online, trying to recall her origins, avoiding a pesky guardians advances and craving his every touch.
If Pavel thought Izzy (heroine of the Promiscus Guardians series) was the end all, be all. The love he feels for Eve leaves all those mixed up emotions riding in the dust of what he’s feeling now. Where Pavel was the forlorn gorgeous flirt always a day late and a dollar short with Izzy, he really shines out as the right protector and more importantly the right man for Eve. This is one hero that you will either want to clobber, strip or grab hold of and never let go. There are times when those impressions will give you whiplash with how quickly you can feel each in quick succession.
Ms. West once again pens a winner with Pavel. Her characters are quirky and loveable. She’ll have you feeling the full gamut of emotions. The interplay between Pavel and Eve will often have you laughing out loud at their antics or wiping a brow at the steamy lovin. Pavel is most definitely a keeper in my library and a great addition to the Guardians In Love series. Get ready for an awesome romantic fantasy. I can’t wait to find out who the next victim… er I mean hero will be.

He is designated to protect and train Eve who has been raised in the human world. She knows she is different and that she has powers but she has no idea of the many creatures, good and evil, that exist in our world until the fateful night when she and Pavel meet.
Through training they become close despite is slightly perverted mind. Can they survive? Were they also meant to find each other?
Loved this story. The Promiscus Guardians stories are high on my list favourite paranormal reads. Brianna has created a capitivating group of beings. I am so glad she wrote this spin off series and included Pavel

Urban Fantasy with extra humor. Eve is orphaned and caring for her younger sister. They both know they are different then those around them. Eve runs into some trouble and a large beautiful man shows up to protect her. Pavel is that man, but he is other worldly.Pavel helps Eve develop the powers she has but that she doesn't understand. The two prepare to battle the beings from the dark to help those in the Light. The playful banter and love that grows between the two is fun. This book was well written and made me laugh. This is my first book from Brianna West but not my last. The characters are well developed and easy to love.

I debated whether leaving a review at all because I enjoyed the other books so much I didn't want to be discouraging. With that being said, I just could not get into this story. He was so in love with Izzy in the other I had a hard time believing this love story the way it was laid out. I skimmed over chapters and pages. It just didn't do it for me this time.

I loved this book! I was first introduced to Pavel in Awakening and just loved the book. Pavel just had to have his own story and come upon a female to whip him into shape. Can't wait to read more from Brianna West's books to find out what happens with the other Guardians!

Once again an amazing book by a great author. This book is about Pavel (obviously), a hot Russian Guardian from the Promiscus Guardians series. This book can be read as a stand alone but being a spin off of the Promiscus Guardians, you will get more from the book if you read the main series first. This book did not disappoint, it has the wonderful depth and detail that I have come to expect from Brianna West. There is plenty of action, suspense, romance and comedy to satisfy all readers, plus all the hot, sexy, panty melting Guardians. Absolutely a must read!

This is a fun book with loads of sarcasm. A flirtatious hero and a Sarcastic Heroen full of witty come backs. There is enough action to keep your attention as you watch the struggle between good over evil. Do not miss the first book either. You will not want to stop reading this series.

Pavel by Brianna West is the second book in the Guardians in Love series but can be read as a standalone novel.
Eve and her sister have always had special powers. Ones that seem to be stronger on their birthdays. Since their parents died when they were younger, they have no idea why they have them and no one to teach them how to use them, so they do their best to hide them.
That is until the night Eve is attacked on the streets while walking home by some strange creatures. She is saved by a man who has powers of his own.
His name is Pavel and it turns out he is he protector. The problem? He’s gorgeous and he has no problem showing it.
This book was too cute! Pavel is one of those annoying guys that is has no problems letting you know how hot he knows he is and no matter how hard Eve tries to get him to back off, he refuses to go away.
The truth is, he’s kind of adorable, as are his friends. They grow on Eve and every once in a while, you see Pavel’s true feelings shine through.
Eve is learning about how special she really is and what her powers are really meant for. She is being trained by Pavel on how to use them as they spend more and more time together, she finds herself being attracted to him.
As their feelings grow though, they keep finding themselves in danger and things keep trying to keep them apart. It seems there is a dark side that wants Eve and her powers for themselves.
There is a little bit of everything in this book, humor, hotness, suspense, hotness, evil, hotness, paranormal, oh and did I say hotness. It’s all in there and very tastefully done. You can’t help but love the Characters no matter how annoying they can be at times.

Brianna West has done it again. Have I mentioned that I am a huge fan of West’s Promiscus Guardian’s series, and now the spin off series, Guardian’s in Love? Well, I am, and book two in the Guardian’s in Love series, Pavel, did not disappoint.
I have been desperate to get my hands on a copy of this ARC because its focus is on one of the flirty, loveable characters from the Promiscus Guardian’s series, Pavel, who needed a healthy dose of real love. I’m an old romantic at heart and wanted him to get a strong minded, level headed girl who could win his heart. The cat and mouse chase between Pavel and Eve kept the pages turning- REALLY fast.
The narrative is told from Eve’s POV, and I enjoyed seeing her character develop over the course of the story, and how she overcomes her own relationship fears to fall for my loveable rogue *hehe*. Seriously, that’s how you feel about these characters; you get sucked into their world and root for them all. I know that more than one reader has claimed dibs on certain characters as their fictional boyfriends. Oh, the choices! Us paranormal romance fans can be a possessive, die hard bunch. Also, if head angel, Simon, ever finds true love, I hope she is a Cornish brunette, perhaps called KJ.
As usual, West packs in oodles of hunks, kick ass heroines, love, sex, and fight scenes. Oh, and not forgetting Bernie and his t-shirts. (Another man in need of a sweetheart…Brianna West, do you hear me?)

I love Pavel! He and Eve who has special powers fight for eachother while fighting evil the story is in so many ways witty, well written, and most definitely deserving of a 5 star rating! Brianna continues to amaze me with each book she writes I thought I wouldn't be able to love Pavel as much as Awakening, but I was so wrong it surpassed my every expectation I had and I truly loved it and cannot wait till another book in the two series' releases so I can get my gaurdian fix again! Great work by Brianna West!

I loved this book from the first page to the last, the characters are amazing you find yourself laughing and screaming at them, and proper laughing out loud! Another 5* book from Brianna, I'm not at all ashamed to admit I'm buying them all on paperback! It's a whole book on pavel! What more could you want?!

Omg what a story. Eve's world is turned upside down by Pavel the playboy warlock-faerie. Claiming to be her protector can he save her and help unlock her secret powers. This is an amazing read did I say Pavel was a sexy Russian, think I need one in my life. Would highly recommend to others as a must read.
