Let Yourself Fall

Rate this book
Noelle Grimes doesn’t believe in giving people easy access to her life.
She trusts carefully, keeps her world small, and has learned the hard way that letting someone in can cost more than keeping them out.
Then she meets Damien.
He’s confident, charming, impossible to ignore — and somehow, against every instinct she has, being around him feels easy. What begins with a chance encounter at an art exhibition turns into late-night phone calls, unexpected honesty, quiet moments that start to matter, and a connection Noelle never intended to let become important.
Damien doesn’t push. He doesn’t ask her to become someone else. And maybe that’s exactly what makes him dangerous.
Because the closer he gets, the harder it becomes for Noelle to hide behind the careful rules she’s built for herself.
But trust is rarely simple. And when the past starts pressing against the life she’s trying to build, Noelle has to decide whether protecting herself means walking away — or whether some people are worth the risk of staying.

Jessica M. S. is an Austrian author with a lifelong love for stories, complicated characters, and the kind of romances that stay with you long after the last page.

After spending years getting lost in books, she eventually realized she didn’t just want to read stories—she wanted to create them, too.

She writes contemporary romance about imperfect people, messy emotions, chosen family, and relationships that feel real. Her stories are filled with banter, chemistry, vulnerability, and the quiet moments that make falling in love feel inevitable.

When she isn’t writing, she can usually be found reading, overthinking fictional people, or already planning the next story before the current one is finished.

4.5 stars.
I loved this book! It's just completely swoon worthy from start to finish!! Noelle and Damien sweep you off of your feet in this whirlwind of romance and laughter. They didn't waste anytime, and I loved that nothing got in their way. You have no choice but to let yourself fall with them. I literally laughed so hard at certain points in the story I had tears in my eyes. Noelle is life, seriously! The book just made me believe maybe you can find true love. I guess if anything it gave me hope.

I immediately fell in love with Noelle and Damien. They are the definition of soul mates. I loved the back and forth between them. I loved how supportive they were and also how amazing the side characters were, as well. Such a beautiful story about two people falling in love and learning how to open up and compromise in order to keep that love.

Wow. I'm not sure if I ever would have read this book unless the beautiful Jessy Harlow sent it to me but boy am I grateful she did. From the very first chapter I was hooked. I love Jessy's writing style and it felt like I really got into the character's heads and learnt a lot from them at the same time.

Noelle is such a strong and powerful woman, she doesn't let anyone get away with anything unkind. Damien has worked so hard to get where he is but is still very modest and is not afraid to show his caring side. Noelle and Damien really take no time at all to get to know each other but it's written in such a way that you feel it's natural and meant to be. Some of their scenes together were steamy to say the least ;) I loved how the characters each had their own struggles but trusted each other to share their secrets and overcome them in a realistic way.
The twists and turns that occurred kept me intrigued and were such an interesting element to the story. You never guess what's coming next and feel just as surprised, shocked or scared as each of the characters do. Both the story and characters were unlike anything I've ever read before which is refreshing and very much welcomed. I laughed (which is rare for me while reading) and cried and felt like I had traveled the same journey the characters had. It's definitely given me a book-hangover.

I loved this so much, if you're even just considering reading it, please pick it up and read it asap you wont regret it.

IM DYING (Ok not actually) but like holy mother of idjits this book caught me by surprise (in a good way).
Let Yourself Fall is written by JessyHarlow who asked me to read her novel. At first, I was a little suspicious. But then I started reading and I felt like I got jump-scared by amazing talent because BRUH. The book was not what I thought it was going to be. It was beyond sexy (that may or may not have made me drool. Or whatever.) plot twists were just on point, and the sentences and words that were used made the story very enjoyable. Damian is literally a babe, I would tap that any day (but I won't and I can't because you can't do anything with fictional characters because they're fictional. But damn honey if they were REAL. I'd slither into the sun.)

Anyways, for this review I would definitely give this a 13/15 <3

I really liked this book. It's not your typical love story. Damien and Noelle are meant for each other in every way. They throw themselves into the relationship head first. They don't care about the right and wrong ways a relationship is supposed to go...they love each other and do things their way. Its pretty exciting.

I finished this about an hour ago and I'm still sitting here.

Okay. Let me try to be useful instead of just emotional about it.

Let Yourself Fall is quiet. Properly quiet. There's no villain, no scheming ex, no secret, nobody withholding something that one honest conversation would fix. Two people meet, they like each other, they try to build something. That's the book. If you need plot momentum you will be climbing the walls by chapter nine.

But if you're me — if what you want is one person slowly working out that she's allowed to be loved — this is going to take you apart in the best way.

Noelle is brilliant at other people's lives and has very carefully arranged her own so that nobody ever gets the chance to let her down. And Damien just… doesn't play. No hot and cold, no three days of silence to make a point. He says what he means the first time. He tells her he loves her far too early and then tells her she doesn't have to say it back, and I had to put my phone down and go stand in the kitchen for a minute.

And before anyone says he sounds too good… he isn't fine either. What got me is that he quietly starts healing around her. And the book never once interrupts to tell you that's what's happening. You work it out yourself.

Somewhere in the middle there's a scene where he's quietly made room for her and she has no idea what she's supposed to do with it, and I don't think I've ever seen that feeling written down before. That being handed something can be so much harder than being refused.

Things you should know. It's closed door — there is a lot of wanting and a lot of touch and then the door shuts, and somehow it is not less intimate for it. It's single POV, first person, present tense, so you only ever see him the way she does, which means you spend the entire book going take it, just take it. The big hurt comes late, about three quarters in, and it is NOT a break-up, which I adored — he does one wrong thing for a good reason, and the book is honest about how long that takes to settle. And there's grief running under all of it. Not as a twist. More like the weather she lives in.

It's also much funnier than I expected. She deflects with jokes and most of them land.

Read it if you love green flag heroes, found family, and books where the emotional work is the plot. Skip it if you want dual POV, open door, or something to actually happen.

I'm going to go lie down. Five stars, obviously.

This was a cute romance, but unfortunately, it didn't quite capture my attention the way I had hoped. While I appreciate the sweetness of Noelle and Damien's relationship, and the banter between Noelle and Finn I found myself wanting more depth and complexity in both the characters and the storyline. I can see this being a sweet read for someone looking for a more low-key romance!
