The fighter, the activist, the man, the icon. An officially authorized collection, Muhammad Ali Unfiltered is Jeter Publishing’s intimate look at one of the most inspiring figures of our age. Celebrate the life of Muhammad Ali in these 200-plus pages of images, quotes, and tributes to the Greatest of All Time.
Millions of words have been said about Muhammad Ali—at least half of those by the fighter himself. Brought to the world stage through boxing, he transcended the sport with his quick feet, quick fists, and even quicker mouth. Not content to be idolized as a celebrity, he reached out to encounter the world as it was, always striving to make it a better place for everyone.
A foreword and a eulogy by the legend’s widow, Lonnie Ali, sit alongside Muhammad Ali’s wit, wisdom, and inimitably photogenic self to paint a rounded portrait of a man who strove to get the most out of life and live well. Including his extemporaneous “Getting Ready to Meet God” speech and featuring more than 200 rare and iconic photos, many rare or exclusive, Muhammad Ali Unfiltered brings you the Greatest of All Time like you’ve never seen him before.
Boxer. Believer. Father. Husband. Legend. Muhammad Ali proved that one person can change the world.
American prizefighter Muhammad Ali, originally Cassius Marcellus Clay, Junior, won the world heavyweight title in 1964, but as a result of his refusal to allow the Army to induct him during the Vietnam War, people stripped him of his title and from 1967 from competing banned him to 1970; he later regained the title two more times in 1974 and 1978.
This former professional boxer, philanthropist, and social activist lived.
THE MAN, THE MYTH, THE LEGEND! Muhammad Ali was one of the greatest fighters, activist, and man there was. To steal a line from Bret the Hitman Heart- Muhammad Ali was the best there ever is, the best the ever was, the best there ever will be! Books like these are a treasure for Ali lovers. Especially for us younger generation who didn't get the chance to ever witness the greatness in person. Starts off with beautiful words from Ali's wife. The book is chalk full of awesome photos of the great one, and awesome quotes fill the pages. This book is a must for any ALI fan.
The photography in this book is stunning and Ali jumps from the pages in his typically larger-than-life fashion. While every photo tells its own story (and diehard Ali fans would know the circumstances depicted in each), the inclusion of captions would have added to the book's appeal. Scattered throughout the book are some of Ali's more memorable quotes, reminding us of his quick wit and spirited approach to life. A magnificent tribute to one who really was 'The Greatest'.
A very nice collection of pictures of Ali. My only criticism is that none of the pictures are labeled and there is no index of the pics. So, I had to guess as to the identities of many of the people featured.
For Ali and boxing lovers this book will be a pleasure to turn the pages! The photographs are awesome and will take you back in time. A coffee table is the place for this book! Enjoyed it!
