Lieutenant Princess Brielle Sinclair, the first female navigator in the Sinclair Demesnes Service, can be sharp, sassy, classy, and determined, and oh-so-aware of her impact on the men! She's totally ace, but her weird cyborg navigation implants represent her unique ability to visualize stelluric waves, the building blocks of wormholes and stargates.

A technological disaster shortens Brielle's liberty on the planet Venturi, and leads to the retrieval of her sophomore chemistry lab partner, Lord Zak Ellison, a deep undercover agent dealing with the disaster while enslaved by a mysterious being. When her ship gets embroiled in that puzzling energetic influence from Venturi, the Emperor needs her to handle the situation.

How can Brielle extricate Zak from this horrible assignment, as well as help him with his troubled past? And what will it take to deal with the stelluric problem they've nicknamed the 'hellbeast'?

This novel contains sexual situations.

*This Book Was Given To Me By The Author In Exchange For An Honest Review*

Although I have read previous books in this series, I have not read all of them, but I do feel this story works as a stand alone.

The world in which this series is set is definitely interesting and is a real blend of science fiction and romance although I do feel that you would need to have a definite interest in the sci fi side of things to really enjoy this (which I do).

The overall story here is definitely a good one, and it is always good when you find yourself really pulling for the main characters to get some sort of HEA. That being said it did feel a little long to me, which is why it only get 4 stars.

If you enjoy a clever blend of sci fi action, with a mystery to solve, and a love story too then add this to your list!
