In this volume there was not only the Great and Powerful Trixie, but Babs Seed and a mystery to solve!

Then the Mane Six's pets got to take centre stage, which was a treat!

Finally, there was fun with Discord and the Cutie Mark Crusaders 😂, let's just say chaos ensues!

This my little pony volume has stories with a jewel thief, a kelpie, and time travel. It was a ton of fun to read, and I very much enjoyed the different tales

The ponies help Trixie in Manehattan to uncover a jewel thief. Fluttershy's animal friends must work together to release the ponies from a kelpie's spell. Discord takes the Cutie Mark Crusaders on a time traveling adventure to discover dangerous animals. While Doctor Whooves gets kicked out of the time traveling scenes because Discord decides he has overdone it on the references already, there is a hilarious interchange between Discord and the Ponies as they try to understand the potential dangers and paradoxes from time travel -

Fluttershy: But Discord, isn't it dangerous to time travel? We might change the past so we never exist!
Discord: Oh Fluttershy, don't be silly! You can't change the past. Believe me, I've tried! That would raise a bajillion continuity issues! No matter what you do, you already did it.
Sweetie Bell: You mean, whatever we do in the past already happened and led to this exact moment and the present is set in stone regardless of the unintended consequences of our actions?
Discord: Yes, more or less.
Sweetie Bell: Neat!

Glad to see Trixie abandoned her old vain ways in the first two parter, the second story was told almost without words as Angel rallied other pets to save Ponyville. The final story had a Doctor Who reference where Discord took Fluttershy and the Cutie Mark Crusaders to different places.
