The Cambria Code #3

Peyton's Light

Rate this book
Zoe never thought she’d be returning to Earth, yet only a few months after reaching Cambria, she and a small team are doing just that. Everyone who volunteers for her expedition knows Earth is likely swarming with the invaders, and it will take a miracle for their operation to be successful.

In the final book of The Cambria Code trilogy, Zoe comes full circle: she has returned to her home planet with the man who pursued her and convinced her to leave, and despite her initial reservations, she has loved him more deeply and fully than any man before.

Now, they are on a mission: they sent the Cambria code, and Zoe won’t abandon any survivors, even if nobody else believes she and Peyton can survive their final confrontation with the thieves of peace. But after landing on Earth, Zoe is forced to acknowledge they may be right after all.

Summary:
The fight for survival increased as Zoe learned that there are survivors on Earth. If not for her determination, Cambria would never have launched an almost suicidal mission to Earth. Zoe with Peyton and Mai along with those on the ship think they have no chance to make it except for Zoe. Her drive to protect and save the last people on Earth seemed impossible, but she has overcame those odds on the past. Everyone is astounded when they locate find people still alive, but between the damage to the ship and the large number of people their chances are ever worse. It was inspiring how so many were willing to sacrifice themselves so that others could live. The drive to protect and defend each other at any cost was something that the people form Cambria and Earth have in common and those similarities will help them build a future together if they can survive the dangers yet to come.

I for one couldn't put this series down and hope that this isn't the end. Zoe, Mia, Peyton and the rest of the characters brought the story alive in this unique and complex series. The thieves of peace were as savage and inhumane as you will ever see in any sci-fi story. Zoe's ability to think out of the box may be the key to saving everyone if she stays alive.

I really enjoyed reading about Peyton and Zoe. I wish the ending went a little more in depth but a great series. The edge of my seat hasn't had this much action in years.
