Dante Marcello’s life has been a carefully planned event as an heir to a Cosa Nostra throne. For as long as he can remember, he’s had one goal in mind, and that’s becoming the Don. With his father ready to step down, it’s Dante’s turn to step up. But without a wife at his side, his seat as the boss is on shaky ground. Until she shows up with an offer he wants to refuse, but can’t.

With her, he’s got everything to gain.

Catrina Danzi is known for her angel face and a predator’s grace. For over a decade, she’s worked as a successful Queen Pin dealing with a repertoire of clientele who can’t afford a scandal. That’s why they ask for her and why they call her Queen. Marrying Dante Marcello means giving up the business and status she loves in order to gain protection she can’t provide on her own, but she no longer has a choice.

Without him, she’s got everything to lose.

The rules for their arrangement are simple: no intimacy, no emotions. Dante isn’t looking for love and Catrina doesn’t need attachments. In the end, life has a way of breaking down walls when you least expect it to, and once love gets in, there’s no bleeding it out. Together, they make a formidable team the Commission won’t be able to ignore. Catrina’s secret of what she’s kept safe will put the entire Marcello family in danger when it finally catches up with her. The Marcellos have yet to be beaten, and they’re not about to start bowing down now.

Even the most beautiful things are a little filthy.

5 BELLO STARS

Well, I must say that I think Ms. Kris saved the best for last. Dante Marcello, the heir apparent/up and coming Don of the Marcello Cosa Nostra – his story was fantastic!

Both Lucian and Gio’s love lives were easy -not saying there weren’t issues – but rather they fell in love easily. Whereas Dante is not interested in love, “Love complicates shit”, he has nothing to offer a woman. He's already found his true love, La Cosa Nostra. But only one problem, to realize his rightful place as the Boss of the Marcellos, he needs to be married by age 30 to a fully Italian woman. Dante is 29 with no prospects in sight.

That’s where the arrangement comes into play. Catrina Danzi has a proposition for Dante that has them both getting what they want with no love or emotions in the way.

Catrina Danzi - “She was cartel born in a Cosa Nostra ruled world who taught herself how to be the Queen.”
 photo image.jpg1_zpsnycrrkkj.jpg
“People like us, we’re not supposed to feel. We don’t get attached. It ruins us. Together, we’ll be the perfect pair.”

Of course, easier said than done. Without giving anything away, these two and the way their relationship develops and evolves was amazing, realistic and so riveting. Of course, there was a lot of this...

...and this...

And of course, this!

I freakin’ loved Dante! Just as I thought, he was the hottest and most complex of the Marcello brothers.

And Cat is amazing! Cat is sinfully beautiful and also a force to be reckoned with.

Like Dante, she rules her own world, she is the Queen Pin. She doesn’t like most women as she has no use for their silly games and men are merely her pawns. Until Dante Marcello. The only man to get her and challenge her.

“You might have been a queen before, but I gave you the keys to the kingdom today.”
 photo image.jpg2_zpsukqn3ptj.jpg
“I might not need a man but I want one. You, specifically.”

This final book was very well written and the story was filled with tension, lies, secrets, steamy sex and of course...

And it wouldn’t be a memorable Mafioso story without…

While this is the third book in the series and I would suggest reading them all, if were to only pick one to read from the series, I’d highly recommend this one!

I must say that I missed my mafia sisters on this one...lovelies, you are going to ADORE Dante! xoxo

After being overwhelmed by a combination of RL and a book slump of epic proportions, I was pretty surprised when I basically devoured the 3rd book in the Filthy Marcello Series. Reading about Dante and Catrina was exhilarating, and being able to read about the other Marcello Brothers was like coming home. I seriously hit jackpot when I started reading this series, Bethany-Kris writes Mafia romance that engages the reader in the most amazing way. If you haven’t read the Filthy Marcellos Series and you love Mafia romance then I would tell you to seriously consider reading this one. I love the Marcello Brothers and I absolutely adore the woman they love!

Okay so back to Dante. Although Lucian is the oldest Marcello brother, Dante is his father’s heir by blood, but don’t be mistaken, these brothers are tied together by binds much stronger than blood. Dante has always wanted to be the next Boss, he lives for his role but unfortunately that’s all he sees himself doing. While his brothers build lives with their wives, Lucian and Jordyn have a baby boy now, he is content to watch from the sidelines knowing that he can never have the same thing. He could never bring himself to marry a woman knowing he could never give her children. But the Cosa Nostra demands that the next Boss be married, otherwise his position may go to someone else.

Enter Catrina, she is an anomaly in the mafia world, a Queen Pin. To everyone else she exudes confidence, a take no prisoners’ kind of woman. If men aren’t lusting after her then they’re intimidated by her, but Catrina has her own dark secret, which is why she and Dante make such a fitting pair. They both need something from each other. Dante needs a wife who knows the score, and Catrina needs a powerful husband that will help keep her secrets actual secrets. In the beginning they try to be cold and aloof to each but ultimately Catrina is Dante’s equal and he quickly falls for her.

"All of those lights, this place, and those streets… they’re ours, Cat. So, I don’t want to hear that nonsense coming out of your pretty mouth again. There’s no need to feel like you’re hiding some kind of pauper beneath your clothes, not when you’re over-looking and empire."

Catrina’s secrets slowly eat away at her, their growing attraction and feelings are making her question herself. Dante is convinced allowing his feelings for Catrina to grow would only end up hurting her.

God, his insides were ripping apart. Dante had never felt so entirely torn up before. It was like his soul was tearing from his heart because of this goddamn woman. How could a person love someone and despise them at the same time?

So let me stop before I babble any further lol. This series is pretty solid for me, you’ll see I’ve rated the books before this one all 5 stars. That’s because it has all the things I covet when reading a mafia romance. You’ll delve into the mafia scene, with no filters. You get what it is, and that is power, money, drugs and this thing of ours, The Cosa Nostra. But because I’m a woman and I love romance it also has a good dose of romance and sizzling hot sex scenes. Dante and Catrina were insatiable and they were scorching between the sheets.

I know that this is the last book in the series but I’m really excited to read the Spinoff Series, especially now that it seems as if there might be a position for a capo di tutti capi>. Maybe there’ll be some insight on that :D

"Have honor", Gio said.
"Love fiercely", Lucian added.
Dante smiled. "Be filthy."

Dante has a problem

Lucian is not going to take over the family. I am to young and I'm not made for it. You've got six months to get your shit figured out..

He needs a wife

"A women isn't going to make me a better boss."
"But she might make you a better man, Dante. And I bet that's what you're most afraid of."

I heard you need a wife.

"I have a little to offer a woman by way or a life. In fact, my life is Cosa Nostra, has always been, and will remain so. I have no interest in finding love, settling a woman down into a world she can't control or be a part of, never mind putting her second for my choices. Because she would be second-always. I think that's incredibly unfair. What woman would want a future she can't be certain of?"
"Yes, because of that, I think we're good match, Dante, I don't want a man to love me. I don't want anything from him beyond business and mutual gain. I have no interest in setting into th life of a housewife."
Dante chuckled. "A good match, huh? You've made me want to kill you twice now." Cat appreciated his honesty. "I have man effects on men. That is only one of them. "So I'm learning", Dante said under his breathe.

Three things in life made a man most vulnerable: sex, love and children.

Overall, since I discovered Bethany-Kris, I am in heaven. I love all her books and this one isn't exception. Dante was amazing, but Lucian is still my favorite. I love Cat. She reminds me on Melody (Ruthless people), but Melody is special in her own way. If you are looking for good mafia book, I recommend you this series. You are going to love Marcellos.

I was really excited to read Dante's book, from what we learned about him from the previous book, I knew his story would be different. I was not disappointed his book was fantastic, best in the series!!!

Dante Marcello is next in line to become the Boss, but to be able to take his place he must be married.
This is were Catrina "The Queen" Danzi comes in with a proposal that will help them both get what they need. Cat was such a kickass heroine, loved her!

I really liked how their relationship went slowly from business to love.
I took some time for Dante and Cat to realize their feeling for each other but when they did it was amazing. They were just perfect together, they completed each other!

So this is the end of the Marcelllos borther, this was a really great series full of romance, action and some HOT HOT HOT scenes. I have to say Bethany-Kris knows how to write those steamy scenes:)

Thanks to the Mafia ladies Snow, Sasha and Suzanne for making reading this series so much better!! Blowing a kiss

And big thank you to Bethany-Kris for letting us read an advance copy.

5 Stars!

This one ticked all my mafia buttons and was absolutely my favorite out of the three books. I actually only read the first 2 because I was wanting to read this one. I guess I could have skipped the first 2 but I am stickler for reading books in order.

Dante Marcello is next in line to be the Don in his family. He is ready. The only thing he is not ready for nor does he want is marriage. But in order to be the Don he has to make this happen. Enter Catrina Danzi AKA The Queen. She has worked as a Queen Pin for decades and has no desire for a man or love. But what she does need is protection and marrying Dante and using his families name will give her just that. So an business arrangement is put in place. He gets to become the Don and she gets his protection. There are rules of course. No intimacy, no falling in love, and no emotions. Dante has everything to gain by taking this deal while Catrina is giving up everything she has worked for so she can have his protection. But it's just not her she's trying to protect...

The chemistry between these two was burning up the pages. They were hot together. I loved the banter and how they fit so perfectly together with their cut throat ways. She was the perfect fit for his life in and outside the bed.

As with the books before this one I loved the family dynamic. The brothers are closer than ever and their mother is as fierce in her love for children as ever.

There was some really edge of your seat moments in this book that was missing in the previous 2. I literally couldn't read those moments fast enough. The Queen was a badass. Just saying.

In the end it was a solid series that I enjoyed.

Happy reading dolls! xx

yeah, i've finished it...I'm the last of my Mafluts to finish with Dante's story... sorry gals! LOL

review to come...real soon! and here it is!

This was the final story in the Filthy Marcellos series – and it was about Dante the mafia heir, the third Marcello brother. His story brought the final closure to all of their lives...
the three of them, the filthy Marcellos, they stirred things up, made them buzz and rattle...
boy, was this the prime time of my life while reading about those three brothers, or what?

Well, it was. I had a blast, enjoying the world so much foreign to MY real world and only could I imagine what that part of life really could look like – well, Bethany-Kris gave me that and so much more! She writes like she's living it and while doing that she's bringing me along for the ride. I've never felt so much a part of some fictional story and felt drawn and connected to its characters then through out these three stories, well, to be honest with one character a little bit more than with the other two...
LOL, and well who ever read my reviews, knows who I'm talking about!

But now, this is about...
Dante Marcello

Anyway, Dante is the one to step up as a Don and needs to fullfill all the rules that Cosa Nostra conducts one of them being properly wed by the age of 30 and to have a full blood Itallian wife by his side but unfortunately there are no candidates in his sight nor he's looking for them. He's reluctant cause he's formed a life by his own standards, he's become a man according to his own plans and visions and he felt no need to change that.

“A woman isn’t going to make me a better boss.”
“But she might make you a better man, Dante. And I bet that’s what you’re most afraid of.”

But that all changes when the course of events sets him in an encounter with the most dangerous spieces of them all – beautiful, smart, resourceful, lethal and dangerous business woman Catrina Danzi /Cat also known as Queen – a Queen Pin, a ghost provider of the white substance in the crime world meddling with the line of Dante's covered territoy.

A woman with an agenda and the strength and enough balls to stand up and demand for it.

Catrina Danzi the QUEEN

Yeah, that little girl from the Sicilian village sure came a long fucking way from where she started.
Men were her pawns and she was Queen. She moved them as she saw fit, not the other way around.

“I’m a woman, but I wouldn’t go so far as calling myself a lady, Dante.”

She makes him a deal, proposes an agreement that would benefit them both…

“A good match, huh? You’ve made me want to kill you twice now.”
Cat appreciated his honesty. “I have many effects on men. That is only one of them.”

“We run this city. You might have been a queen before, but I gave you the keys to the kingdom today.

no need for any other sort of connection, no attachments, no sentiments…well, or so they thought...

People like us, we’re not supposed to feel. We don’t get attached. It ruins us. Together, we’ll be the perfect pair. Together, we have nothing to lose.

They try to avoid any closness, but the attraction is visible and palpable and they can’t deny it for much longer…

“I want you to do it again.”
“Do what, Catrina?”
“Kiss me. I want you to do it again and I don’t want you to stop.”

so, yeah, things get steamy and wild and passion takes over…

it’s not long that the “no attachments” becomes deeper and more and old insecurities and doubt rattle this untypical union…

“What could you possibly lose, Dante?”
“Me. I didn’t want to lose what made me who I was. It’s what I’ve identified with my whole life and if it were to change, all of the things I thought I understood would be gone. So I wanted to keep what I knew.

But it’s hard to keep your most powerful organ in the human’s body closed cause it has a mind of its own and there was nothing that they could’ve done about it…it was a fight lost before it even started, cause those who play with fire eventually get burned and devoured…

“Dante—”
“I’m sorry because I love you.”

Love owns your loyalties, hopes, and desires. It always will.”

Dante gained more than he ever considered possible, more than he ever dreamed of…cause he had closed that door not daring to dream in the first place…depriving himself of all those precious life altering notions that he left buried deep inside of him for so long…

“Cat—”
“Is your equal who tests you, makes you consider things beyond what is only in front of you, and she makes you happy all the same. It’s crazy, isn’t it? Finding that person when you least expect to?”

“I don’t want to fuck you, I want to love you,”

And then as the story unfolds, shit starts to happen, Dante and Cat are thrown into the fire again…all the Marcellos are involved in breath taking, nerve wrecking and gutting situations filled with explosions…

shooting….

car chasing….

…never knowing how it would end only hoping and thriving to bring their loved ones to safety.

NOT giving away much…the love was there, after all, it was a slow build, it was tested…but they found each other, their love enduring even when things didn’t look so bright or went in their favor…

“I’m always going to love you.”
“Even when you hate me?” Cat asked in a whisper.
Because sometimes, she knew he would.
“Yeah, even then.”

I loved seeing all of them interacting, evolving as lovers, husbands and…well, not giving that away…

The epilogue was an insight into all of their lives several years ahead… and I have to admit they were just the right amount of fiction and real for me…
I loved how they fully gave themselves through out it all, life, in giving affection, in business, in friendship and brotherhood.

Protection, connection and love were the things she asked for and also provided.

SO DID THE COSA NOSTRA. LA FAMIGLIA. DIO.

They were Marcellos and they owned it.

Phenomenal series which I highly recommened
I’m glad I’ve shared this experience with my Mafluts (Irish, Shanny and Suz – girls you rock and rule in my mafia book! LOL)

So, so glad to be given the ARC of Dante’s story from the talented author Bethany-Kris!

Well, well, well. I started off this book not liking Catrina very much ...... at all and was I ever upended! Catrina is a brilliant character - strong, sassy, independent, takes no prisoners, hard as nails on the outside and so soft and sweet underneath all that strength. Dante - I wasn't too sure about him either, he came across as rather a cold fish at first, but did these two ever sizzle.

I love how their relationship built slowly, no rush, no insta-love here. Just two adults trying to make the best of things whilst quietly falling so damn hard for each other. And whilst I'm on the adults subject - Catrina effed up monumentally and the author could have taken this down the drama/angst route. Instead once again I got two adults that acted like adults and TALKED to each other. What a refreshing change that makes, kudos to the author for that.

A brilliant read to round off the series all wrapped up in a fab epilogue.

Starting this series is a decision I definitely don't regret . Getting to read about the Marcello's was a delightful adventure and this book did a great job of wrapping it up while making me interested in the Next Generation. The children (and Gio) did a great job of keeping me entertained.

Dante intrigued me because although he is the middle child, he always acted as if he was the oldest. He is usually very serious and controlled. His lighthearted moments were few and far between. I assume this is in large part due to what was expected of him. He was being groomed by Antony to be his successor, the future Don. He definitely took on this role admirably.

I love Cat's introduction to the story. With her red hair and bodycon dress I imagined Jessica Rabbit. The intricate and well-thought-out plan she had to manipulate her way into Dante's life gave their story uniqueness. It was a great way to differentiate their story from those of the other couples. Their chemistry was off-the-charts hot and I really liked the way they fell in love. There was no rush and yet it happened in no time at all.

Every scene with the Marcello brothers was amazing and when it came to the suspenseful part of the story the way they worked with each other further proved how strong the love and bond between them really was. I'm almost sad to see them go but at the same time I'm reassured that I'll see them again in Filthy Marcellos: Legacy and the spin-off series the author has planned.

Enjoy! xo

A good marriage of convenience read!

Pretty darn good. Marriage of convenience between a future mob boss and a Queen pin. I of course loved this story. Mob stuff and a queen pin with secrets. What more could I ask for? It’s a bit of a slow burn and the tension isn’t crazy high, as a lot happens off book, but this still a good story.

“Women can be twice as dangerous as men because you never suspect them, and they’re a hell of a lot more ruthless when it comes to getting what they want."

“Have honor,” Gio said.
“Love fiercely,” Lucian added.
Dante smiled. “Be filthy.”

I liked book one, Lucian's story. Book two on Gio was a bust for personal taste reasons r/t the heavy drug theme. Book three, Dante's story, was good - 3.5 stars.

Like book one, I enjoyed Dante's love story. The romance is the star of the show in these books.

Unlike his brothers, love doesn't come easy or fast to Dante. He's not only not looking for it, he simply believes it can't & shouldn't exist for himself. It was interesting to see him go from a place of mutual need, to lust, to friendship, to respect, to love.

The FMC, Cat, is also an interesting character. She's a hellcat - period. She, too, must go through long steps to get to love.

Excellent job on the characters!

Even Gio's character grew on me in this book. I stand by my review of book two that the drug use and immaturity was just beyond my personal reading tastes. It was nice, though, to see him taking a more adult stance on life in this book while remaining the jokester.

The sex scenes were very well done.

I loved the thorough HEA for all the characters. Felt whole, complete, but open to storylines for the next generation of Marcellos.

Why the 3.5 stars... ????

My problem with this book is basically the same as book one. The mob side of the plot is quite far fetched in how it operates and is presented to the reader. A perfect example is the DON, Dante, going on a Rambo style mission with only his brothers as backup. Uhm, yeah.. No.

There also failed to be that professional vs brothers shift and separation in how the brothers publicly interacted with each other after Dante becomes DON.

It did detract from the story for me since the book is equal parts mob politics and romance.

Keypoints

• slow developing romance
• violence mild to moderate, with a couple non descript deaths and one graphic.
• no OW/OM
• mild bondage w/ consent
• drugs are sold but not used
• thorough HEA for the entire series cast and possible Segway to next generation series.

As far as Mafia romances go, this is right up my alley.
Doesn’t go over the top with violence within the mafia or against women as we often see in the genre.

There are some things that are kinda questionable in terms of credibility but I’ll go with it cause they really are not a big deal.

I like Dante because as much as he is a bad ass he is also a gentleman and he’s got his priorities straight, no drama inducing actions when unnecessary as for the the h, she is capable, smart, resourceful but also vulnerable which I believe is believable because no character is so unidimensional as they often are in this genre (usually you either have the all time badass that can do everything or the damsel in distress with some common sense and street smarts orrr the sheltered poor little virgin)

This story felt like it could be real to some extent(definitely- only to some extent)

So yeah go give it a try, it’s good!:/

***3.5 STARIS ***

**Dante generously provided as part of the Filthy Marcellos: Complete Collection in exchange for an honest review.**

5 "Just like that..." Stars

Dante hails as the third book in the Filthy Marcellos series and focuses on the eldest brother of the Marcello bunch. Throughout the series I couldn't wait to learn Dante's story and while I think it's a bit unconventional as far as mafia standards I really loved it. In a quite precarious situation Dante finds himself at the mercy of Catrina. Little does he know she's just as much at his mercy. When what starts as a wise business decision leads to undeniable passion these two leave their mark in their respective worlds in big ways. Told from the third person points of view again, Bethany-Kris once more proves her story-telling chops with Dante. I couldn't read this fast enough, completely engrossed in Dante and Cat's love story.

I plan to review the Filthy Marcellos Collection as a whole once all stories have been read.

OMG YEEEES

This became my favorite couple of the three like whaaaaat???
CAT IS THE QUEEN... I LOVED HER!!

The relationship between Cat and Dante's was so great, they're respect each other and Dante see her like his equal that it's so cool and was my favorite part of all this book, i always love read something feminist in the histories and more in this mafia's world that is considered just for men.

I would like to saw more of Cat's business we don't get to see that much of that

But yeah this was so good i will continued reading more of this autor un the future!!

Dante by Bethany-Kris is absolute perfection. 5++ stars. It is the fourth book in the series. It can be read as a standalone.

This story, this world, the connection between Catrina & Dante and the way they ended up falling in love is EVERYTHING I could ever want in a romance novel! They are up there as one of my favorite couples of all time. Their partnership was a true partnership born out of passion, mutual respect & eventually love.

Dante is set to take place as the Capo of the New York Cosa Nostra but in order to take his rightful place as heir, he needs to be married. Enter Catrina (Cat), one the most beautiful, strong yet sweet, smartest heroines I’ve ever read. I love Catrina so much words can’t even do it justice. She’s so unique you have to meet her. She is a true Queen in every sense of the word and becomes Dante’s best fiend and partner.

Cat & Dante are absolutely perfect together. Every scene just kept getting better and more passionate! They started out with an arrangement but it was born out of mutual respect.
The way Dante treats Cat and holds her to such a high pedestal in front of the fellow bosses is EVERYTHING! I’ve never read a book like this before. Dante never made Cat feel less than. He always supported her and stood by her in her reign as Queen Pin. You just have to read this.

I’m calling this a must read. I adore everything about their epic love story.

There’s action, lust, love, passion and when I say passion I meet these steamy scenes are so good ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥.

These two will have you rooting for them so hard. I was dying for the moment when they both gave into their love. When that moment came, it was the best.

I felt so good reading this and I enjoyed it so much. This is exactly what I love in a mafia couple and any couple.

Tropes:
✨Marriage of Convenience
✨Mafia
✨Interconnected Series
✨Surprise twists
✨Mafia Family

What a great conclusion to the Marcello storyline. In the beginning, when they initially agreed to no sex in the marriage, I was thinking, "YEA, OK. We'll see how long that lasts". I'm so happy I was right because the sex was so hot. This had an happy ever after times 5. It was great to see them fall in love and then get what they both wanted and needed. And that epilogue... Omg, I love that it skipped ahead some years to show how the family progressed and grew. And now a Chicago spinoff!!! SWOONING!!! I loved this book, like I knew I would.

Men are little more than chess pieces I need to move across the board and that’s all. There has been no man to catch and keep my attention enough for me to break my focus from my game… or, there hadn’t been until you.

bisexuality is when she says she wants catrina danzi AND dante marcello

2023 reread: 5 ˚✩ ⋆。˚
dante’s gaze flicked over catrina’s suddenly growing grin beneath her sheer veil. her sexiness was back in a blink, teasing him.
silently, she mouthed, “kiss your bride, dante.”
it was time for him to shock her for once.

dantecat buzz hit different after reading the series in order likeeee they're my mama and papa actually <3

catrina grinned wickedly. “i said no comment, dante, just like you told me to.”
“and gave them the finger at the same time!”

cat is definitely THE woman of this series like no marcello woman has come close. sawri that’s mother that’s wife that’s a girl kisser ! i loved the brothers' relationship with cat way more now that i know them especially gio (even tho his book was my least fav 😭) also cat reminds me of gianna allister ouuu i love me a brunette gf

moment of silence for my brainrot...

“you are in here now. all through me everywhere. that’s where you are. you somehow make me better. it’s almost fucking disgusting the way i don’t even care that it happened, either.”

also dante calling cat his best friend like im sick?/&):@:?:&;? down bad dante = my favorite scheduled programming!

“dante’s hands fluttered over his wife’s face, noting the bruise under her eye and the split lip seeping blood. catrina didn’t cry and he knew she wouldn’t want anyone, even family, seeing her in that state. “shhh, i got you, dolcezza.”

everytime dante holds cat's face....... like what if i kewled myself.

“it didn’t take her long to find dante. sprawled across the large couch on his back, dante lay sleeping with michel snoring away on his chest.”

mafia vs boobearism. dante wanting michel to love him like a father and for michel to be his son...EMO HOURS [OPEN] reminded me so much of antony with lucian 🤏

2022: 4.5 ˚✩ ⋆。˚

“and even if catrina wasn’t really his, she still would be in a way. if nothing else came of the day that one thing was something dante would keep. privately, to be sure, but he would keep it.”

sexy ship for sexy people ☝️their first meet will be living in my frontal lobe for YEARS do not interact. marriage of convenience, you will never not be THE MOMENT. you are literature. you are cinema. you are art.
